Deuteronomy 18:10-12 Let us discuss these verses first. What is meant by passing your son or daughter through the fire? This is human sacrifice! This was the practice of the Canaanites sacrificing their children to their gods! Modern day sacrifice would be abortion! Divination is divining a sentence on someone! A charmer casts magical spells on people. A witch is basically the same thing casting spells on people. Another word for this is a whisperer. A wizard conjures up familiar spirits. Remember King Saul asking the witch of Ender about his future? She did not tell him he was going to be beheaded? King Manesseh also inquired to witches and fortune tellers! A necromancer is one who raises spirits from the dead! They do this to make predictions about the future or in their ghostly help to make something happen. Kind of like the rabbits foot? How lucky was the rabbit? This occult practice was also called Black Magic and comes from the ancient Greek word for corpse necro or prophecy mancy. Comment: It is interesting I lived in India for 3 years and I saw these practices done in the Hindu Temples! I have a blog post on my experience inside a Hindu Temple. The Hindu Priests collect money from people to cast spells on other people. Say a husband wants to get rid of his old wife for he has found a young girl. Then he hires the Priest to cast spells on his old wife that she might die! This is a big money business in India! Funny thing is the opposing party will come to the same Priest and pay him money to cast a spell on his adversary! The Priest will ask more money from the second party! The Hindu Priest’s told me these spells do not work on Christian believers! They do work on everyone else! You might say it is Halloween everyday in India! Do I want to spoil some kids fun collecting candy? No! Did I trick or treat when I was a kid? Yes! What I want you to understand is the origin of Halloween! In Leviticus 18:3 God warned the Jews not to participate in the ordinances or statutes, decree’s, feasts and customes of the gentiles! Today here in America the orthodox Jews do not participate in Halloween but the secular Jews do! Now to the origin of Halloween. The druids were the members of the ancient Celtic culture! The words druid and Celtic mean magic! Remember the Boston Celtics? In the ancient Celtic culture they had Priests, magicians, soothsayers and fortune tellers! They were a high ranking professional class of people from Ireland, Briton, Scotland and Wales. When Rome invaded these area’s around 60 B.C., Caesar said the Celtic groups were performing human sacrifices! Not that Caesar was the Gold Standard for morality but this is what the Roman soldiers observed. Have you ever heard of the wicker man? The Celtics built large wooden idol’s in the form of a man. On top of the wooden beams they nailed wooden slats to form the image. So the center was hollow! Halloween! Then they put the human sacrifices inside and set it on fire! The hollow of your pumpkin has a fire or candle inside of it! The druid religious culture had no written communications only oral. It was a secret society! What are the rules? Criteria for sacrifice? The Romans pretty much wiped out the druids but their occult spirit lives on in culture! The immigration of the Irish to America during late 1800’s and early 1900’s brought Halloween and some of these cultural traditions even though most were Christians. In the Medieval age the remnants of druids opposed Christianity! Trick or Treat! I will hurt you unless you treat me? God says I love you even though you hate me! Tattoo’s Taboo? Leviticus 19:28
“You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks on you: I am the Lord.” Comment: The English word “dead” used here is probably not the best choice because the Hebrew root word (Strongs #5315), means a living creature or breath! So do not cut your flesh for any living creature! Why? Because only God could do this through his Son Jesus Christ on the Cross for our sin! Jesus was marked for the living and the dead! Taboo is an old word that today we would call political correctness! Taboo means a social or religious discussion that is prohibited from speaking about! It is the practice of not allowing any conversations about certain topics! Hear no evil see no evil. So what are some of these topics? Gay marriage, drugs, homosexuality, lesbianism, divorce, tattoo’s and the list goes on! Even though our Bible is loaded with warnings about these topics most Pastor’s across America are muted? They will not bring up these important moral issues and some will even support these sins? These issues are killing our young people and families yet nothing said? Why would our Lord prohibit tattoo’s? In addition to what I previously said let us see what science says about tattoo’s! Remember true science will always support scriptures! The Book of Leviticus was written around 1400 B.C. So it was written about 3400 years ago! The political left mocks our Bible saying the times change and no longer has application! They say the same thing about our Constitution? Here is what science and our military says about tattoo’s! The U.S Military is no longer taking recruits that have tattoo’s on their bodies! Testing has shown their bodies will overheat in extreme conditions such as jungle and desert warfare! Here is a quote from Mayo Clinic: “Tattoo’s break the skin which means skin infections and other complications are possible including allergic reactions! Tattoo dyes especially red, green, yellow and blue cause itching rashes even years later! An area of inflammation called granuloma can form around tattoo ink. Tattoo’s can also lead to Keloids–raised area’s caused by overgrowth of scar tissue. They can also cause blood borne diseases! If the equipment is contaminated with infected blood you can get Methicillin–Resistance Staphyloccus Aureus (MRSA), hepatitis B and hepatitis C. Tattoo’s can also interfere with MRI imaging.” Also Tattoo’s block sweat glands of your body! Sweat is a natural way for your body to cool itself off and dissipate heat produced from work and exercise. It is like the radiator of your car which takes away engine heat produced by combustion. If your radiator is plugged up your engine will overheat and destroy itself! Heat injuries in the human body cause muscle death, kidney injury, brain injury and many other problems. Source: Healthline Studies have shown that benzo (a), pyrene, a chemical used in black dye ink, can induce skin cancer as shown on test animals! Need we say more? Science supports scripture! The whole verdict is still out as young people age with tattoo’s other things will show up! Hear no evil see no evil? If clergy will just preach the whole Bible and not cherry pick cultural popular verses our young people can be saved from destruction! Our young people should not be sacrificed in the name of political correctness! Science will have the last word unless we give our American youth the Word of God displayed in your Bible! What is Wrong with a Tattoo? Leviticus 19:28
The Bible says not to cut yourself or make a print on your body! Why? Well, just because God says not to do it is not good enough for me! Really? God is not going to tell me what to do! I am going to be my own God and decide what to do! Sound familiar? Are we talking about you again? We live in a world at war with God! There was a popular song back in the 1960’s titled, “I fought the law and the law won!” My mother back in the 1960’s used to ask me and my brother Tommy why we never brought home any homework from school? We told her we were too smart to study! Tommy and I should be grading the teachers! Mom said if that is true then how come your grades are so sick? Mom those teachers are so dumb they could not recognize talent even if it bit them! Me and Tommy had homeless homework! God said my people perish for a lack of knowledge! When Tommy and I got our grade reports the law won! God simply gave us the law so that we recognize that we need a Savior! God has only one who is worthy to carry marks on His body! Those prints and cuttings were placed on His body by all of us at the Cross! Even Jesus disciple Thomas after the Cross said I will not believe unless I see the nail prints in His hands! Unless I see and feel the scars of his pierced side! We only carry our own scars because we reject the marks taken for us by Jesus on the Cross! You can make your own marks but it will never save you! All of the pain and suffering was reserved for only one Jesus Christ the Son of the living God! You may mark your body but it is impossible for you to carry the sin of the world! If you have already marked your body then think of the Cross when you look on your marks of sin! Thankyou. Gay Pride? Leviticus 18:22
Thou shall not lie with mankind as with womankind; it is an abomination! Why is God homophobic? Simply God hates sin! God loves and hates! Otherwise He would not be God! Satan hates the good and loves the evil! The Bible makes this so clear even a child can understand it! What is an abomination? The Hebrew word translates as something that is morally disgusting to God! The word is primarily understood in the context of the Law. To love people is to tell them the truth! To be a gay basher would be to tell them that their lifestyle is good and we will make laws contrary to God’s law so you can feel good about your sin! We cannot ignore the elephant in the room! God is love and He so loved the world that He gave His only Son as a sacrifice for our sin so that we may have the power to live a righteous life before God and before men! Thankyou. Abortion Child Sacrifice! Leviticus 18:21
Planned Parenthood? What a sweet name for an abortion mill! It is kind of like calling Hitler and the Nazi’s a Jewish orphanage! With 60 million children sacrificed since the Roe versus Wade 1973 Supreme Court decision why do Christians let this go on? This is the biggest contradiction of our Faith in my lifetime. When the Supreme Court ruled in 1859 that African Americans were personal property of slave owners Christians rose up in America and elected Lincoln as President and went into a civil war! I believe Christians today have lost their will to resist evil! Pastor’s in America today with the exception of very few ignore this atrocity and continue with their popular cultural Gospel not to offend our government and lose their 501c exemption! Abortion is about money and should the Gospel be the same? Jesus said something about the love of money is the root of all evil! To stop the tax payer funded Planned Parenthood is going to cost Christians in America a sacrifice! It will require the shutting down of our government because Obama will veto any measure to defund Planned Parenthood! Contact your senators and congressmen and request they let the government shutdown if required to defund this organization! If your Pastor has the mute button on about this issue find a Pastor who is unmuted by our government! A price is always required by Christians to resist evil just like our Savior on the Cross! Christian Scapegoats! Leviticus 16:18
A scapegoat refers to someone who is unfairly blamed by others for their problems! Leviticus 16:18 “And Aron shall place lots upon the two he goats: One for the Lord and the other for absolute removal.” The second goat was sent into the wilderness carrying the people’s sin’s! The two goats were chosen by lot. Why? Casting lots was used to render a decision not based on human choice but letting God decide the matter. Either outcome was not good for the goats! If I were a goat I might say, “heads I win tails you lose!” Remember Judas replacement was done by lot! The Roman soldiers cast lots for Jesus clothes at the Cross. One goat was offered as a blood sacrifice for the sin of the people and the other to be the scapegoat sent into the wilderness. Jesus really represented both goats! He was the blood sacrifice for our sin and wandered in the wilderness carrying our burdens! Since Jesus is in Heaven today the only way the world can get Him is to persecute His followers! According to the Koran the final solution is to kill all the Christians and Jews! Secular America sees the Christians as getting in the way of their agenda! Wickedness cannot prevail with Christians in the way! Christians today are fleeing for their lives in many parts of the world! Persecution is rising in America also! Remember the persecuted Church is the strongest Church! We will be more dependent on Christ as troubles rise! Remember the hope that lives in you is the only hope for the world! Paul was the greatest persecutor of the Church! Yet he became the greatest promoter of the Church! People have the greatest potential for good or evil depending on who lives inside them! Strange Fire! Leviticus 10:1
The Hebrew verb means to be a stranger or foreigner! It can also mean to go astray. It means to do something outside the Law of God! This same word is used several times in Proverbs to describe an adulterous woman! Nothing could be more serious than to be a stranger with God! Sin will make us strangers with God! None of us want to hear the words of Jesus, “Depart from me you workers of iniquity for I never knew you!” You might think fire is fire? Water is water? Water saved Noah and his family but destroyed the rest of the world! Fire can purify or destroy! God prescribed a very detailed prescription for worship to Moses for the Tabernacle! The sons of Aron, Nadab and Abihu were careless and ignored the procedures and preparations for worship! They were also drunk! They were living outside God’s instructions and outside His plans for and purpose for them! The results were disaster! Ananias and Sapphira got into the same trouble! The Old Testament sacrificial system was a shadow of what was to come in the New Testament! Jesus Christ the Son of God made the final sacrifice for sin for us that made us friends and not strangers to God! The Cross is a bridge to Heaven! Some today treat Christ with the same contempt as Nadab and Abihu did! Some treat Christ as Judas did today! Christ becomes a money racket! Religion today tries to Crucify Christ again! Keep Christ in the grave so I can take over! God does not change so we need to change! When God sees our worship to Him through the Blood of His Son our worship becomes acceptable to Him! Warning to Gay’s and Lesbian’s! Leviticus 18:22
Chapter 18 of the Book of Leviticus covers forbidden sexual practices! It also covers human sacrifices which we see in Islam! Verse 22 instructs us that homosexual behavior is an abomination to God! Yes God is homophobic! God is love but hates sin! He could not be a Holy God and endorse sin! Won’t ever happen! The best example in history of his rebuke of gay’s is Sodom and Gomorrah! Is God gay?
If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. (Leviticus 20:13) You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination. Nor shall you mate with any animal, to defile yourself with it. Nor shall any woman stand before an animal to mate with it, it is perversion. Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you. (Leviticus 18:22-24).
