Is “Sware” a Good Word? Deuteronomy 6:13

When I was a small boy my mommy told me not to sware! I always though that to sware was using a bad word. Deuteronomy 6:13 says, “Thou shall fear the Lord thy God, and serve Him and shall sware by His name.” The word serve here means to labor or work. I cannot have a tithe or offering for God unless I work. The word sware here means to repeat something seven times. The number seven in scripture is a number meaning completion. Such as seven days in a week or seven days in Creation of the world. It means to take an oath. The Lord swears by Himself because there is none greater! God swore to Bless Abraham’s descendants! God also swore by His Holiness to lead Israel into captivity. Abraham made his servants sware an oath to get Isaac a wife from Abraham’s own people. In Revelation 10:6 the Angel swares by Him that liveth forever Creator of Heaven and earth and that time shall be no longer. In our Bible the word is used 80 times in different scripture. Here this word is the same meaning for both the Hebrew and Greek word. Do not confuse the word vain with the word sware used in scripture. The word vain used in the 3rd Commandment in Exodus 20:7 is a very different word! This word means to use words to try to ruin His name! To use vanity, deceit and lies to spread a falsehood about God. One example would be in the Koran where it says Jesus did not die on the Cross! Vain means to use words to devalue God! Vanity means to no purpose! When we command and sware in Christ’s name to heal the sick or cast out demons then we are using His name with purpose to establish Heaven on earth! Thankyou. Barack Obama in Islamic Prophecy?

Is Barack Obama the “promised warrior” coming to help the Hidden Imam of Shiite Muslims conquer the world? The question has made the rounds since last month, when a pro-government web site (Iran), published a Hadith (or tradition) from the Shiite text of the 17th century. The tradition comes from Bahar al-Anvar (meaning Oceans of Light) by Mullah Majlisis, a magnum opus in 132 volumes and the basis for modern Shiite Islam. According to the tradition, Imama Ali Ibn Abi-Talib (the prophets cousin and son-in-law) prophesied that at the End of Times and just before the return of the Mahdi, the Ultimate savior, “a tall black man will assume the reins of government in the west.” Commanding the strongest army on the earth, the new ruler in the west will carry “a clear sign” from the third imam, whose name is Hussein Ibn Ali. The tradition concludes: “Shiites should have no doubt that he is with us.” In a curious coincidence Obama’s first and second names- Barack Hussein- mean “the blessing of Hussein” in Arabic and Persian. His family name, Obama, written in the Persian alphabet, reads O Ba Ma, which means “he is with us”, the magic formula in Majlisi’s tradition!  Source; Amir Taheri, Published Forbes Magazine Article, October 26, 2008.

Jesus Prays in Gethsemane Matthew 26:36-46

The word Gethsemane is a Hebrew word that means an oil press. Gethsemane was an olive garden with olive trees with an olive press most likely located on the western slope of the Mount of Olives. Have you ever been severely pressed in your soul, mind and body? Ever feel like you are being squeezed to death? Combat soldiers in battle experience this as death knocks at the door. If you were being executed for a crime you committed you could rationalize that I deserve it. If you were being executed for a crime you did not commit would you voluntarily step forward for execution? That is what Jesus did for you! Jesus and His disciples entered the garden late at night. Cold and darkness surrounded them as Roman soldiers were in the hunt for them. Jesus takes Peter, James and John into the interior of the garden with him to pray. While Jesus prays he becomes exceedingly sorrowful even unto death! Let this cup pass from me but if not your will be done. Meanwhile the disciples fall asleep? Jesus cautions his disciples to watch and pray and not to enter into temptation for the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Jesus prays again the second time the same prayer. The disciples fall into sleep again! Jesus prays again the third time the same prayer. Then the Chief Priest, elders and soldiers come and take him away. In Jewish culture if you say something three times that is the most you can say it. Peter do you love me? Peter do you love me? Peter do you love me? On the third day Jesus rose from the dead! Three strikes and your out. Jesus spoke to the mountain on the mountain three times and then He let God’s will and providence for His life and purpose be done! Let not our prayers be a fire escape but let His will for our lives be done so that others may benefit! When olives are squeezed they produce oil which is used for light and heat. Jesus was squeezed so you could have light in the dark world we live in. Jesus was, is and always will be the light of the world! Thankyou. James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

Swear! What Does It Mean? Genesis 21:23, Matthew 23:16-23

This word is interesting but not understood by most. As a child I was taught not to swear. What my parents meant was using bad words that would defame God. The old saying is do not let people swear by you or at you! So many advertisements in America use this word to try to sell their products. In the Bible the word has two different meanings depending on whether Old or New Testament. In the Old Testament the word first appears in Genesis 21:23. The Hebrew word is “Shaba.” It means to make an oath or declaration 7 times. Seven is the number of completeness. Seven days in a week, 7 years, 70, ect. I remember as a child my parents would say I am only going to tell you one time! If not all hell broke loose for me! The word is a short cut to say something 7 times. God swore to multiply and Bless Abraham’s descendants. God swore by His Holiness to lead Israel into captivity. (Amos 4:2) The Lord swears by Himself since there is none greater. Abimelech and Phicol asked Abraham to swear his kindness and integrity to them and their descendants. David’s men adjured him not to go into battle again. The Land of Canaan became the Promised Land gave to His people based on an oath. Thousands of years later the nation of Israel today stands as a testimony! Now let us look at the word “swear” as used in the New Testament. The Greek word is “Omnuo.” It means to stand up or establish. Jesus repeats this word to the Pharisees and scribes as follows in Matthew 23:16-23; Woe unto you who swear by the temple, by gold, altar, by the gift, ect. Jesus was telling them you cannot lift up or establish yourselves by these things! Actually, the one who they could be lifted up and established by Christ they rejected! I love my Pastor, family and friends but none of them can establish me before God! Jesus is interceding for us right now! We are to pray for one another bur remember no one can save you or others including your Pastor except Christ and Christ alone! Thankyou. James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

Go Green!

I was a young man then back in the early 1970’s. We had just gone through the Arab oil embargo and energy conservation was on every mind of America! I was in a barber shop in Denver reading a Popular Mechanics magazine. In this magazine was an ad for a solar clothes dryer! Ad said was compatible to any electric clothes dryer! It was only five dollars and just mail in to a P. O. Box Number address. I wanted to do my part so i sent in my five dollars. It was about two weeks before i received my package in the mail. I imagined solar panels attached to a complex computer network! I took the package and unwrapped it right on top of the clothes dryer! There in the center of the box was about 6 feet of clothes line? I wanted to strangle the guy that mailed me this with my new clothes line! I do not like deception especially in hard times as we are in today! Americans today in our economic trouble need honesty and encouragement in these difficult times! Do your best to help others even if it costs you something! Jesus said he who is greatest in the Kingdom of God is servant of all! God Bless! James Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com
