The German Christian movement made significant changes to German Protestantism to bring it in line with Nazi racial ideology. Instead of classifying people as Christians or Jews based on their faith, as the Protestants had always done, German Christians began to classify people by racial heritage, as the Nazis did. Therefore, Church leaders whose parents or grandparents had converted from Judaism to Christianity were considered Jewish, and according to the 1933 Civil Service law, were no longer permitted to serve in those positions. Only if we do not commit the same mistakes of the past! Let us fast forward 90 years to today and what is going on in America? Our Christian identity and our identity as Americans is being replaced by a racial identity! Like Black Lives Matter! Take a knee and disrespect our Flag! We are no longer Americans! Burn the churches and the Bibles! Tear down our statues that would remind us we are Americans! The same circumstances that prevailed in Nazi Germany present themselves and the challenges today! The political supporters of this movement are already in positions of power! Portland and Seattle are no longer considering themselves as part of America! Sanctuary cities! Open borders! Chop zones! How will the American church respond as this movement grows and they elect a National leader to enforce their ideology? Hopefully better than the German church even though some church leaders gave their lives to oppose Hitler! How will you as a Christian respond? How will you respond in Christ? Then he as many during the 19th Century broke with tradition and promoted deadly ideologies! Others were Darwin, Engels, Marx and others! All these ideologies lead to the two World Wars of the 20th Century! Nietzsche was a homosexual and contacted teritiary syphilis in a male brothel in Genoa! Christian Civilization and France! Battle of Tours 732 A.D.
We owe a debt to the French people as leaders of the Crusades against Islam for over 200 years! Because of your efforts and sacrifices we have Western Civilization and a Christian America! We are reminded that the Arab name for all Crusades spanning over 500 years regardless of nationality was “Franj.” The Battle of Tours in France was one of the most decisive battles in history! Abd-ur Rahman the Muslim general with his 600000 man army conquered all of Egypt, Syria and North Africa. In October 732 A.D. exactly 100 years from the death of Mohammed the Muslim armies entered into Europe. The Frankish army was made up of Gothic Germanic tribes who became the French today met the Muslim armies in battle! The Muslims who invaded France destroyed palaces, churches and murdered thousands! The Francs lead by Charles Martel, known as the Hammer led France into battle. They routed the Muslim armies and captured and killed Abd-ur Rahman! The Franks were the first to learn that the terror of the Arab Muslims can only be neutralized by a greater counter terror! This counter terror has to be a super terror to strike fear into the hearts of Muslims so that they give up their aggressive mentality for fear of death! If only one or two French citizens had side arms in these attacks in Paris the outcome would have been very different! I try to persuade my Christian friends here in America to arm themselves for what is coming here! Right now they dismiss my warning but after President Obama lets in 10000 Syrian refugees they will figure it out! Our condolences to the French families as we share your suffering and encourage you that our hope is in Christ! The German and French soccer game in Paris where some of the attack took place reminds us of history as the Germans and French fought together at the Battle of Tours in 732 A.D. to drive out the Muslims from France! Pray For Our Leaders 1Timothy2:2 2Peter2:17
Did Paul and Peter pray for their leaders? I assume they did yet they were executed by Caesar! Some of their best works were written from prison! The authorities did not like to keep Martin Luther King Jr. in jail too long because he was working on his next speech! During the civil war Pastor’s and their congregations north of the Mason-Dixon line were praying for the north to win while Pastor’s and congregations south of the line were praying for the south to win! They were both praying for their leaders! A famous German theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer was executed by Hitler but I assume he prayed for Hitler. Some of our famous reformation leaders were burned at the stake by their King! I assume they prayed for them! Jesus called his political leader Herod a fox but prayed for him! He called the religious rulers of his day a generation of vipers but prayed for them! Do we pray for ISIS leaders? What would be your prayers to those who were about to behead you! Father forgive them for they know not what they do! Different from prayers of the west? Father give me a big house, big auto, big money and fame and fortune! Jesus taught us how to pray! I love this prayer because it is not a political prayer! I personally have one leader or ruler and Savior and His name is Jesus Christ! I am loyal to one Kingdom and that is the Kingdom of God and His Christ! It is so funny I have a friend in Colorado Springs who was my military boss back in the 1970’s. We are both retired and meet once a month and tell old war stories! I told Kenny we were praying that our house would sell so we could move back to Georgia. Kenny told me he was praying that our house not sell and we stay in Colorado! I told Kenny you are my friend but not my prayer partner! Our prayers should be in agreement with God! We usually pray for an outcome. Do we always get it? God’s will is often different from our will! To deliver us from evil means not to partake in promoting evil! Military Humor!
Rick Jason starred as Lieutenant Hamlin and Vick Morrow as Sargeant Saunders in a military world war II television series back in the 1960’s called ‘Combat.” As a lot of shows back then they contained high moral content. The U.S. Combat units were engaged with 1000 German infantry who were located on a mountain with heavy weapons. Lt. Hamlin’s squad was located at the base of this mountain dug in watching allied aircraft and artillery pound the German positions. A new recruit found Lt. Hamlin in the trenches and said, ” Sir if we get lucky the Germans will vacate this mountain tonight!” Lt. Hamlin repied,” private tonight we are going to make some of our own luck for we are going to crawl up this mountain beginning at 2000 hours and take this mountain for America.” Some of these old movies can be seen on Youtube. They portray something very important for in the midst of death and destruction great moral character is demonstrated! Just like we see at the “Cross!” As we approach the 4th of July celebration remember our military members of past, present and future who have and will pay the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom!
