Numerology in the Bible!

Moses built 12 pillars on Mount Sinai. Twelve spies were sent out. Twelve stones were set up as a Memorial after crossing the Jordon River. Twelve stones were attached to the breastplate of the Priest representing the 12 tribes of Israel. The Temple involved 12 measurements and furnishings. Jesus spoke his first recorded words when He was 12 years old. Jesus chose 12 disciples. Twelve baskets of fragments were left over by Jesus for the miracle of the feeding of the 5000. In the Book of Revelation there are 12 gates in the city and 12 angels guarding the gates. The gates have 12 pearls. The walls will be on 12 foundations. The 12 Apostles names will be on the 12 foundations. The measurement of the New Jerusalem will involve the number 12. Twelve people on a jury. Twelve months in a year. Twelve hours of daylight and 12 hours of night. Twelve time zones on each side of the hemisphere. What about 12 eggs in a carton? Even the chickens know! The Tree of Life will bear 12 kinds of fruit for 12 months for the healing of the nations. Every number in the Bible has purpose! We even have the Book of Numbers. The number 12 represents perfect government in Heaven and on the earth! You don’t even have to be good at math but still figure it out! God’s word’s and numbers are prophetic! Israel Saved by a Prostitute! Joshua 2:1-3

This is one of the most fascinating stories in the Old Testament and carries over into the New Testament! This is a lesson for Christian’s to never write off a sinner! If we do that becomes a greater sin! Pride and self-righteousness! Rahab was a Amorite. The first part of her name, “RA”, is the name of an Egyptian God. The rest of her name means insolence, fierceness or broad and spacious! She was spacious and took everyone in! Rahab married Salmon one of the two spies she took in. She became the mother of Boaz, who married Ruth from whose son Obed, Jessie the father of David came, through whose lineage Jesus was born! In the New Testament Rahab is in the Hall of Fame when it comes to Faith! As Christian’s we need to remember God can use anyone and He does! The Bible says we are to confess our sin to one another! Mark Twain said if you do you will have no friends! He is right for I tried that once! If they were true friends they would still be my friend! What a friend we have in Jesus! Politics is the dirtiest occupation on earth! It got Jesus put on a Cross! However God is smarter than sin and nailed all our sin to the Cross! Widows and Orphans on Your Shopping List?

Since 9-11, Iraq, Afghanistan and California Islam has created thousands of widows and orphans here in America! Even the Islamic attackers in California orphaned their own baby? God has given us scriptures in our Bible that instructs us to how to respond. I have included one Bible verse from the Old Testament and one verse from the New Testament. Deuteronomy 24:19 When you cut down your harvest in the field, do not fetch it; it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless and for the widow: That the Lord may bless in all the work of your hands. James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction and to keep yourself unspotted from the world. Merry Christmas! A Prophet Like Moses! Deuteronomy 18:15-19

Only Abraham was called a prophet before Moses. A prophet is one who is called by God and can only proclaim what the Lord has given him to say. A prophet could not contradict the Law or speak out of his own mind or heart. What a prophet spoke had to come true! A prophet is visionary and perceptive. Prophets are also connected to music as in the case of King David. A prophetess like Miriam or Debra had the gift of songs. The identity of the unnamed prophet was revealed through other scriptures both in the Old and New Testaments of your Bible. By Jesus day, the Jews had developed a clear cut expectation of a yet future figure who would fulfill Moses words. Priests and Levites from Jerusalem asked John the Baptist if he were, “the prophet?” John denied it but pointed to Jesus Christ! Everything that Jesus has prophesized about himself and future events has or is coming to pass! Jesus also warned us about false prophets! If you reject the true prophet then you will be deceived by the false prophet! I believe the false prophet who aligns himself with the anti-Christ is Islam! Islam is deceiving many of youth today and alluring them into his death trap! The power and authority of Christ will overcome this evil one and has also promised us victory over all our enemies! Our sin is the first foe He has defeated! Every new day is an appointment with Christ as He reveals His plans for our lives! Your eternity began the day you received Christ as your savior! You will complete your mission here on earth and then go back to Heaven to the place He has prepared for you! Your purpose in Christ is never over and is as eternal as God Himself! Thankyou. Wisdom! Proverbs 9:10

Wisdom is the supernatural art of living skillfully in whatever actual conditions we find ourselves in. Pastor Brady Boyd, New Life Church, Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Comment; There are about 100 scriptures on wisdom in your Bible. There are about 12 root words that form these 100 scriptures in the Hebrew and the Greek. I will give you these root words for wisdom. Wisdom includes intelligence, discretion, understanding, knowledge, prudence and skillful ability. Wisdom includes substance, expertise, meaning and the center of anything including the will and the heart. Wisdom is the ability to separate mentally to perceive, discern, and distinguish. Wisdom means to make bare and use judgment. Wisdom is to make things clear with insight. Wisdom means to be of one mind and to set your affections on. Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Angel Worship? Psalm 148: 2-6

Do you have a guardian Angel? There are about 300 scriptures in your Bible on Angels! First remember Angels are created beings. The Trinity created them and you and me! They also created the Heavens and the earth! The Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit all pre-existed all creation and are authors of creation. There is some debate as to whether Angels were created prior to the six day creation on Genesis chapter one! We do know Adam and Eve were tempted by Lucifer so the Angels had to exist before them! Lucifer is a fallen Angel. Since Angels are created beings they have a free will to obey or disobey! The same choice we have! One third of the Angels rebelled against God and were cast out of Heaven. However two thirds of the Angels stayed faithful to God! It seems just the opposite on earth as one third of the world’s population is Christian and the other two thirds reject Christ! However the Christians replace one third of the Angels who rebelled! Also remember Angels are immortal! That is why the lake of fire awaits the fallen Angels. Angel’s primary purpose is to worship God! So likewise with mortals! God can dispatch Angels at His will! Whether to announce the virgin birth to the shepherds or deliver Paul and Silas from prison! Gabriel is the messenger Angel, Michael the war Angel and Lucifer the Praise Angel who rebelled and now is Satan! These are the three primary groups but the others we will not discuss here. Sort of like the Trinity of Angels! Again the Saints replace the worship to God that Lucifer abandoned through rebellion! You cannot dispatch Angels but Christ will if needed! You do not pray to Angels! You cannot depend on created beings! Angels are servants of God and obey His will to accomplish His purpose! False Prophets! 1 John 4:1

The Bible from Deuteronomy to Revelation has many scriptures warning us about false prophets! How do you guard against deception from these spiritualists? First and foremost know your Bible! What will happen when error is introduced by a speaker or writer the Holy Spirit will bring to remembrance a scripture that will refute the error! If truth is spoken the Holy Spirit will confirm the truth by scripture! False prophets will try to lead you away from Christ! An obvious example would be where Mohammed in the Quran says that Jesus did not die on the Cross! False prophets in the Church is more subtle! Eighty eight reasons why Jesus is coming back in 1988? Remember? Millions of books were sold and some Christian’s burned their mortgages and stopped making their car payments! Here in this example many thought this author was leading them towards Christ but he was fleecing them! It says in our Bible that Jesus does not even know the hour of His return except the Father! A church leader might infer that you are blessed because I am so Holy and into so many good works! Because of only my prayers you are blessed! Remember it is Jesus response to our prayers that brings blessings! Jesus is also praying for us! Remember your scriptures? I love my Pastor Brady Boyd but he cannot save me! His job is to lead me and others to Christ! Just be careful your attention is not drawn away from Christ unto men! False prophets will try to divide the Church! They promote Church splits! They will promote one group against another! They will spread lies against leadership! We need to come alongside our leaders but be honest enough to say something if you believe error exists! We are all human and need each other to watch over the body! When we were in Pastor Cho’s office in Korean in the 1980’s before leaving for India for three years he made it very clear what our mission was to be in India! I thought he was going to say Evangelism! No! He told us our whole mission in India was to help local Pastor’s! It was such a challenge for us because most do not think they need any help? Cho told us Satan will attack the head to break up the body! Satan is a divider and that is why we have war between Heaven and earth! Between good and evil! Satan is constantly recruiting people into his Kingdom! One of Satan’s tools is false prophets! However he has no power against the Word of God the Holy Scriptures! Satan is a Trinity! Revelation 16: 13-14

Here we see unclean spirits coming out of the mouth of the dragon, the beast and the false prophet. The dragon being Satan and the beast the anti-Christ and the false prophet who will be the religious ruler of the world. They are all spirits of devils. They work miracles with the intent of recruiting followers for the last battle here on earth! This last battle will be the armies of good and evil meeting in Israel. This place is called Armageddon! The word Armageddon is a very interesting word used in the Book of Revelation. It is made up of three Hebrew words. The first word means a hill or mountain. The second word Megiddo is a place in Israel. The third word means the gathering of troops pressing together in battle. Megiddo, modern day Tel Megiddo is an important town overlooking the Plain of Esdraelon (Valley of Jezreel). It lies about 18 miles southeast of Haifa in Northern Israel. The last military action there in 1918 drove the Muslims out and ended the Ottoman Empire. British General Edmond Allenby drove out the Turks 7th and 8th Armies and helped to end World War I. Just a note of history the reason the British defeated the Germans in World War I was because a Jewish chemist developed a method to rapidly produce gun powder. This gave England the advantage! The Jews were rewarded by England as they helped them establish Israel as a nation in 1948. There will be another battle at Armageddon but this will be the mother of all wars! Is “Sware” a Good Word? Deuteronomy 6:13

When I was a small boy my mommy told me not to sware! I always though that to sware was using a bad word. Deuteronomy 6:13 says, “Thou shall fear the Lord thy God, and serve Him and shall sware by His name.” The word serve here means to labor or work. I cannot have a tithe or offering for God unless I work. The word sware here means to repeat something seven times. The number seven in scripture is a number meaning completion. Such as seven days in a week or seven days in Creation of the world. It means to take an oath. The Lord swears by Himself because there is none greater! God swore to Bless Abraham’s descendants! God also swore by His Holiness to lead Israel into captivity. Abraham made his servants sware an oath to get Isaac a wife from Abraham’s own people. In Revelation 10:6 the Angel swares by Him that liveth forever Creator of Heaven and earth and that time shall be no longer. In our Bible the word is used 80 times in different scripture. Here this word is the same meaning for both the Hebrew and Greek word. Do not confuse the word vain with the word sware used in scripture. The word vain used in the 3rd Commandment in Exodus 20:7 is a very different word! This word means to use words to try to ruin His name! To use vanity, deceit and lies to spread a falsehood about God. One example would be in the Koran where it says Jesus did not die on the Cross! Vain means to use words to devalue God! Vanity means to no purpose! When we command and sware in Christ’s name to heal the sick or cast out demons then we are using His name with purpose to establish Heaven on earth! Thankyou.
