Are You Worth It? June 6, 1944 D-Day

Are we worthy of all the sacrifices our United States military members have made millions dying on the battle field over all our wars since 1776? Men sacrificing their fortunes, futures, health and their very breath for you? Losing limbs, minds and families for you! Are you worthy of their sacrifices? When you study your Bible you learn true love demands a sacrifice! God sacrificed himself for you on a Cross some 2000 years ago! You a sinner worthy of death yet he took your death upon himself! I am not worthy of his sacrifice yet accepting his love for me makes me worthy! All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God! God valued us worthy of his sacrifice! I cannot repay millions of American military members who laid down their lives for me and the freedom I have today living in the land of liberty! I can only receive their sacrifices they made for me undeserving as I am and receiving their love for me and country understanding my living and enjoying the freedoms they provided for me will always be less than the sacrifices they made for us making it possible! Are You Good or Evil?

III John 1:11 “[Beloved] follow not that which is [evil], but that which is [good]. He that doeth good is of [God], but he that [doeth evil] hath not seen God.” Commentary: Let us examine these Greek words bracketed above in this scripture. Beloved means my beloved son as speaking to your children with important instructions. The word evil used here is like a military term. It means to retreat from battle! The battle between good and evil! You surrender to evil! You give up! Wave the white flag to wickedness! Evil people intentionally and willfully do harm to others! You surrender to abortion, gay marriage, homosexuality, transgenderism, evolution, false teachings, political causes that harm others, joining with wickedness and making disciples of Satan! The word good means to be useful and beneficial to others! To help to prosper people! You are a benevolent servant for others not harming them! To practice goodness! The word God used here means the true God! Christ! Notice the word follow! You will follow someone! The spirit you embrace that dwells in you will determine your character! When You No Longer Know You Are Evil!

The trouble with Eichmann was precisely that so many were like him, and that the many were neither perverted nor sadistic, that they were, and still are, terrible and terrifying normal! From the viewpoint of our legal institutions and of our moral standards of judgment, their normality was much more terrifying than all the atrocities put together! Hannah Arendt Commentary: The safety net God has given us is that we are all sinners and have come short of the Glory of God! Salvation is crucial to understanding we all need a Savior! To confess you are sinner is the first step to recognizing you do not have the morality to save yourself or anyone else! When Eichmann, Hitler and the inner circle rejected Christ things were set in motion to destroy themselves and millions more! They were Darwinists rejecting any intervention of God into the affairs of men! They were deceived by sin to a point where they no longer recognized their lost estate and neither were able to recognize their own evil! We see this same cycle in the American political left today! They are unable to see their own evil and then to blame their evil on the opposition just as Hitler blamed the Jews for his evil! To take personal responsibilities for our sin is to confess our sin to Christ and let him take your sin upon himself delivering us from evil! Then we no longer repeat the sin but give it up as a testimony to the power of Salvation! To love our enemies because they need the same opportunity for the Grace we have received! Which Image Are You?

Luke 1:51 “He hath shown strength with his arm, he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.” Comment: We are going to examine two Greek words here. The first is the word “proud”. It means one who shows himself above his fellow men in honor preferring himself! Pride was the first sin in heaven and in the earth! Lucifer rebelled against God in heaven being cast out of heaven and with one third of the angels who followed Lucifer unto the earth! Then Lucifer who became Satan offered Eve in the Garden of Eden the same opportunity to rebel against God! Rebellion has been the history of man! When I hear the words “Pride Day” I cringe in my spirit! What fools! A fool has said in his heart there is no God! God’s character is just the opposite of pride! Jesus humbled himself even to death on a Cross! Jesus became our need! A sinner in need of a savior! Pride is sin! It creates the need for a savior! Jesus took our sin upon himself! Pride leads to war! War against God and man! The next word we need to look at is the word “imagination”. It means an intellectual understanding. It is the perception with thought coming unto consciousness of oneself knowing you exist from a source outside of yourself. It means to understand, apprehend and to discern. The mind is the organ of the Spirit and at the same time is the function of the heart. It is a conscious recognition of character and judgment. It is an intellectual faculty understanding with moral reflection characterized by a perverted moral impulse with intentions and designs. You are aware of yourself and God! My Bible says we were created in the Image of God or imagination of God! The problem has always been in terms of rebellion that we want to be more than his image! We want to be God! We want to create God in our image! A role reversal! We want to make ourselves greater than God as Lucifer tries to do! Answerable to only ourselves! We make the rules! We make laws to oppose God! Make our own religion or no religion where we can be God! Fire God and replace him with ourselves! Satan has his own Kingdom with his disciples in a place called Hell! God has his disciples in a place called Heaven! God had to send his only Son into the earth to show us a clear, true demonstration of his love and redemption! This is what Mary was rejoicing about in her Song of Praise! Light entering a dark world! Jesus not a created being as we but eternal part of the Trinity taking on our sin and death upon himself! God becomes flesh! Paying the price for our sin who was without sin! We cannot become the Image of God without God! God created male and female! There is no gender confusion here! Only Satan would try to bring gender confusion to attack God’s Image! The image of Satan is sin, death, confusion and judgment and destruction! The Image of God is life, redemption, salvation, forgiveness, peace, joy, freedom and liberty from the guilt of sin! Freedom from slavery and tyranny! Are You a Liberal? Isaiah 32:5-8

Verse 5; The vile stupid person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl (withholding) person said to be bountiful. Comment: Read the rest of these verses! What is Isaiah’s point here? God will expose the wicked! Another verse says your sins will find you out! The deception will no longer work! They call themselves liberal but really hate the poor! They claim they are for them but just the opposite! They slaughter their children through abortion! They keep the slaves on the inner city plantations! Poverty, drugs and crime are their life! They claim the moral high ground but are wicked to the core! God will expose their lies and deceptions! They rob the hard working people with high taxes and enrich themselves! They will rob the middle class people and claim compassion on the poor but will give none of their own resources to help the poor! They trade lies for votes! Isaiah says in verse one a King will come and rule in righteousness and judgment! A true liberal gives his own stuff away to help the poor! If I steal someone else’s stuff to support a good cause it is still theft! God gave his life away through Jesus Christ for us who are sinners! Divided We Stand?

I was listening to a lecture by Dinesh D’Souza at a major University here in America! The topic was the threat of Islam to Western Civilization. He covered the history of Islam and the differences between traditional Islam and Radical Islam! After all his analysis he concluded that the biggest threat to America is not external but internal! That is American’s are in disagreement about who we are and our purpose in life! Some believe we have a God given purpose guided by the scriptures of the Bible. Some believe there is no God and men chart their own destiny! Men evolved from nothing and our purpose is only found in ourselves instead of outside of ourselves! This is the battle line that our divisions here in America are based upon! The political parties formed reflect this cultural war! When we look at history all the way back to the beginning of Creation the war has always been between good and evil! Right and wrong! This war goes back even before Creation when Lucifer who became Satan was cast out of Heaven for his rebellion against God! This war continues with each new generation! One day it will be settled with the return of Jesus Christ to judge the living and the dead! Until then we have to make a decision for or against Christ! That decision is crucial to your future! To be popular and offend God is unwise! To please God will bring persecution from the world! However the joy of this personal relationship with Jesus Christ surpasses anything this world could ever offer you! Stay true to your faith and witness God delivering you out of all your troubles! Who Are They? Revelation 2:6

Who are the Nicolaitians? The word in the Greek means the conqueror of the people! Specifically in the Church of God! They are only referred to twice in the Book of Revelation. Both the church at Ephesus and the Church at Pergamos had the same problem! (Verse 2:15). The Nicolaitians were Bishops and prelates of the church gaining a triumphal victory over the laity! This is the very sin that brought forth the Reformation! It is mostly responsible for all our denominational and non-denominational churches around the world! The Nicolaitians compelled and forced church members to submit to the arbitrary dominion of men who have become the ones which the eternal hates! The Apostle Peter warned us that those who are leaders among God’s people must not dominate the faith of others but rather exhort them to do right! (1 Peter 5:1-3). The Nicolaitians are people in the church who have established a hierarchy of power and dominion under a government of ecclesiastical rulers! Comment: Yes! God hates these folks! Correction is very different from condemnation! We take the word disciple from the word discipline. Jesus used the techniques of correction and commendation very effectively! We as parents either tend to over correct and under commend or over commend and under correct! Everything I do cannot be right and everything I do cannot be wrong! That is why I need a Savior! My experience in ministry over the past 45 years has shown me people do not like to submit to authority! This is the nature of Satan! Most people will submit to authority if commended and corrected in love! However some will never! Hell is reserved for these folks! Why will some never submit? Because they want to replace God! This explains why the world is a war! War on God! Jesus asked the churches at Ephesus and Pergamos to repent! Sunday our Pastor Oscar Cope made an important point to us in his sermon!
