Best Seller Ever!

The sheer diversity of literature in the Bible is one of its secrets of its continuing popularity through the centuries! There is something for all moods and many different cultures! Its message is not buried in religious jargon only accessible to believers or scholars but reflects the issues that people struggle with in daily life! John Drane, Scottish Theologian and author. Comment: First of all the Bible is the number one best seller because it is written with the finger of God! It speaks to all cultures because it is written by the God that created all cultures! God speaks to His people through His Word! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

Worship & Service! Luke 10:38-42

Jesus commended Mary for choosing the good part! Let us look at the Greek word good as used in this passage of scripture! It is Strongs #18. It means constitutionally good but not to benefit others! It means profitable! It means to derive an advantage from it. There is an opposite word used in the Greek for good! It is “Harmartano”, Strongs #264. It means to miss the mark or sin! Mary’s sister Martha was serving and wanted Mary to help! There is nothing wrong with serving because it benefits others! Remember Jesus said he who is greatest in the Kingdom of God is servant of all. However in this case we are talking about God being in your presence! Jesus was not putting Martha down but explained to her that Mary her sister recognized Jesus true value! Remember over in the Book of Luke Mary spent nearly a year’s wages on the perfume to anoint Jesus body for burial. Judas put her down for it! How we value people and things is very important! If we are not careful we can overvalue things and undervalue people! If we undervalue God then nothing else we ever value will help us! Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and He will add to us what is needed! Did you value your father and mother today? Did you value your Pastor today? Did you pray for him? I recently stayed in a wealthy man’s house. He is a good man but when I asked him the name of his Pastor he did not know? If we do not value what is most valuable then it becomes sin! Like Martha serve Him but more important like Mary  worship Him! Get in His presence! One second in Jesus presence will start a fire in your soul that will glow forever! James and Hamsa Sasse. Do Bible Translations Matter? 1 Chronicles 16:3

If you are a student of the Word of God then it does matter! If God created the Heavens and the Earth by His Word then His Word matters! If you believe your Bible is the Word of God then your translation is important! Let us zero in on verse 3 and the later part of this verse. The King James Version (KJV) and the American King James Version (AKJV) translate the last part of this verse as “a flagon of wine.” A flagon is a flask or container for liquids. However the following 5 English translations; American Standard Version (ASV), Basic English Translation (BBE), Webster Revision, World English Bible and the English Revised Version say something very different? They render this English translation as a “cake of raisons.” Is it a jug of wine or a cake? Why does it matter? They cannot be both right? Here is the problem! If you look at verse 3 in it’s totality you have 3 elements listed! The bread, wine and flesh! This with the preceding and following verses presents a picture of Communion in the Old Testament! A cake of raisons completely throws this concept away! There are even more translations out there but I strongly make a case for the King James Version! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

God Created! Genesis 1:1

“Bara” (Created / Creating) The second word is the Hebrew word verb (Bara), it is in the masculine form, so the “he” is implied. English verbs do not distinguish between he, she and it. A peculiarity of this verb is that it always is used with God as its subject, meaning that only God can “bara”. It is the characteristic verb for God’s creative activity in Genesis 1. “Bara” is also used in Genesis 2:3-4. The meaning of “bara” is not create in the modern sense, but to differentiate / separate and to allow roles, e.g. in the creation of Adam and Eve, God allocated gender roles to “male and female.” Source: Wikipedia Encyclopedia. Comment: Important point here! God separates and differentiates in creation! Light from darkness, good from evil, heaven from hell, male from female and the list goes on! Notice when male and female are joined together in marriage they take on a new role! So when we are born again as Jesus said we take on a new role! Not to lose our identity but to expand our purpose! Your role on earth is given to you by God! Your purpose is established by God separated for righteousness! This is why the gay and lesbian movement is such an affront to God! It tries to reverse allocated roles established by God! It is a slap on God’s face! Do you remember Sodom and Gomorrah? We were created to worship God! When we refuse we are reversing allotted roles which is sin! Jesus never departed from His allotted role! He came as a lamb the first time but will return as a lion! James and Hamsa Sasse. Does God Keep His Promise? Genesis 17:8

Abraham lived about 3600 years ago! God made a promise to him then that he and his descendants would inherit the Land of Canaan! Remember Canaan was one of the son’s of Noah who was cursed by God for exposing his father’s nakedness! So what Empires occupied and controlled the Land of Canaan over the last 3600 years since Abraham? The Empires of Babylon, Egyptian, Hittite, Assyrian, Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman (Muslims), French and the United Kingdom! Then in 1948 the Land of Canaan was declared the State of Israel. Since 1948 Israel has had to fight wars to secure her freedom! The still have to be vigilant as they are surrounded by their enemies! God does keep His promises and history and science defend the promises in our Bible! Let me be clear to Christian’s that if God were not to keep His covenant promises to Israel He would never keep His promises to you! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

Covetousness? Jeremiah 6:13

So what does covetousness mean? It is a word in the Bible and it is something i do not want to do! I always thought it is just wanting someone else’s stuff? However according to the Hebrew definition it is much more than that! It is to gain through violence! It is dishonest gain or plunder! Like aborting babies and selling their body parts! Just before Israel went into captivity to Babylon this was the state of the people! This cancer affected the least to the greatest of people! Jeremiah went on to say it affected the Priests and Prophets also! They dealt falsely! Falsely means anything done with deceitfulness! To even do a right thing in appearance but with evil intentions! It simply means to lie with wicked intentions! So the whole Jewish culture was absorbed with covetousness! Were the Babylonian saints? They were even worse! God has a way to punish the wicked by sending someone to rule you that is even worse! History is full of Nations who have gone down this path! God will always have His voice through His Prophets to warn the people! I would remind America to listen to her Prophets as judgment will otherwise come! Donald Trump will help direct America back towards God and the Clergy must respond to take the mute button off their messages of repentance and proclaim God’s Word across America so that Liberty will once again Rule America! God Bless America! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com
