Do Bible Translations Matter? 1 Chronicles 16:3

If you are a student of the Word of God then it does matter! If God created the Heavens and the Earth by His Word then His Word matters! If you believe your Bible is the Word of God then your translation is important! Let us zero in on verse 3 and the later part of this verse. The King James Version (KJV) and the American King James Version (AKJV) translate the last part of this verse as “a flagon of wine.” A flagon is a flask or container for liquids. However the following 5 English translations; American Standard Version (ASV), Basic English Translation (BBE), Webster Revision, World English Bible and the English Revised Version say something very different? They render this English translation as a “cake of raisons.” Is it a jug of wine or a cake? Why does it matter? They cannot be both right? Here is the problem! If you look at verse 3 in it’s totality you have 3 elements listed! The bread, wine and flesh! This with the preceding and following verses presents a picture of Communion in the Old Testament! Wine and Roses when Jesus Returns? Revelation 19:11-21

Not exactly! All of us have to be careful not to cherry pick the scriptures! That is believe the scripture we best like and forget the rest of them! We need the whole counsel of God! Each verse and chapter of the Bible is like a snap shot of God. If you put all the photo’s together of God you get the big picture! How many photo’s are in your album? Remember words form images! We were created in the Image of God! The images you see here on earth were formed by the Word of God! Creation formed by the Word of God! Images can also form words but that is where deception can come from! Have you ever heard of the Jefferson Bible? Thomas Jefferson tore out every page of the Bible he did not believe! So he ended up with a very thin Bible called the Jefferson Bible. How thin is your Bible? The show down between Heaven and Hell on earth is described in Revelation Chapter 19. Yes, Matt Dillon is in Dodge City on main street facing off with a gun slinger! The streets are empty but the buzzards are circling above! The undertaker is watching the fight trying to determine if he has a casket in stock that will fit one of them? The Road Kill Café has just opened in Dodge City! It is gourmet food for the scavengers! Jesus tells Satan, “Heads I win tails you lose!” Remember war started in Heaven and will end here on earth! The war that will really end all war! Are there really horses in Heaven? My revelation of 2014 was that everything we see on earth was first in Heaven! The armies of Heaven will follow Jesus to earth for the fight! Wait a minute here? I do not want to join the Army? My Pastor told me I would die rich and famous? Christ is going to smite the nations and rule them with of iron! What an Evangelism program! Hold it? I thought it was going to be a peace rally with all of us smoking pot? I thought that Jesus was that little milk toast guy timid and shy? I thought I was going to play a violin in Heaven docked on a cloud? What is the supper of our Great God? Who is for supper? The flesh of Kings! The flesh of Captains! The flesh of mighty men! The flesh of horses and the flesh of all men both free and bond! The Kings of the earth get together with their Armies to war against Christ and His Armies! This will be the Super Bowl of Super Bowls! Then the beast or dragon (Anti-Christ), with the False Prophet (World Religious Leader), who did miracles and his followers marked with the mark of the beast will go to a Global Warming Conference! Then the remnant that were left were slain with the sword of Christ’s mouth and then the fowls of the earth opened up a Road Kill Café with 24 hour service! Thankyou. James and Hamsa Sasse. Is It All About Food?

Adam and Eve were given all the food in the garden except one tree! They had a vegetarian dish of everything except for one dish! Could they follow instructions? No! Israel ate the Passover mean with unleavened bread before leaving Egypt. No time to ferment the bread they had to get out of Dodge(town). Moses got complaints about the food in the wilderness. The Jews told him they wish they could go back to Egypt and eat the garlic and onions! God wanted to kill them all but Moses pleaded with God and they got frosted flakes in the wilderness. Just a note here I have a bowl of Luckey Charms every morning for breakfast. Then the most significant event in all of history happened! In an obscure village named Bethlehem God prepared another Table for us! The name Bethlehem means house of bread. Then we have the last supper. We have the Lord’s table or Thanksgiving meal. This meal is also called the Communion Table where we receive Christ’s Body(Broken Bread), and His Blood(Wine) as atonement for our sin. On the resurrection day we will all be at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb! The point here is God has prepared a Table for us simply by His Grace over us! We did not earn this but a gift to us! God has prepared a table for us both past, present and future! As we sit around a table this Holiday season think on these things and The Table He by His great sacrifice has provided to you!
