Christmas Vietnam 1967

We have been ordered to take Hill 875. The hill has been bombarded by air power and artillery for the past three days! The ground shakes under our feet and our ears ring from the deafening sounds of battle. We are at the base line of this hill yet the Vietnamese continue to come down off this mountain at night and attack our positions! If we do not take this hill then we will all die! As a leader I know the only way we will take this hill is to send our best men up this hill. This means our best men will die! This is the way life works! God gave His best shall we then do less? I have tried in a thousand ways to take this hill without loss of life but the longer we wait the more American’s die! The only solution is to charge up this mountain and take it for America. We should put a U.S. consulate on this hill after we finish our job! It is difficult to maintain morale here with all those radical liberal college professors and their students fighting against us back home! They have joined Ho Chi Minh and his ideology of murder! It is better they stay back in America than be here with us where they would get us all killed! No Monday morning quarterbacks out here! You make a mistake out here and you do not see Monday! I wish our politicians understood this? I have to leave enough troops behind to recover our bodies and remove our wounded off this mountain to our helicopters to take them back to base camp. Another officer got fragged yesterday? We must wait until daylight before the charge to allow the enemy to return to their positions on top of the mountain. The sun has now broken the dawn and now I must lead the charge up this mountain! The first one hundred yards was uneventful? I figure they figured we were not stupid enough to do this! They were wrong! Then they opened up with all they had! Machine guns, rocket launchers, grenades, mortars! It was rockets red glare, bombs bursting in air! We just kept running forward up the mountain! I kept getting hit with tree bark in the face from bullets cutting up the trees! The other problem was dirt hitting me in the face from bullets dancing around my feet! We would run right past gun positions and then break off behind them and clean them out! We got to the top of Hill 875 and planted the American flag on the top of the hill. We claimed this hill for America and Liberty! The theme of the song was that he wished and prayed that this girl would love him as he loved her but finally realized that her love for him was only make believe! No matter how much he loved her she did not care about him. If you are human or even divine you have experienced this in your life. You wanted to believe in someone or something only to find a betrayal by that person or system. After all your love and affection was extracted from you an emptiness entered your soul. Human relationships are fragile at best! However there is a love greater than any human love! God’s motive for loving you is that He is simply love! Yes and He loved you so much that He became flesh! If you accept His love then you will find His love deeper than any ocean! In our spiritual relationship you can love the one that hates you through default! If you stay in the default mode you express your affection to the one who wants to destroy you! You can make believe about any man made system of religion but only to find in the end you are deceived and forsaken! There is a God but His Name is not Allah ! (Lesson 2)

Although “Allah” has become known as the proper name for the Muslim god, Allah is not a name, but a desciptor that means literally, “the god”. All pagan cultures have these generic terms that refer to their ‘top god’ as ‘the god’. In comparison to the perfect monotheism of Judaism and Christianity. “Allah” was originally no more a proper name for the Muslim God, than for the Hebrew ‘elohim'(god) or Greek “theos” (god) are proper names of the one true God of the Bible. “Jehovah” is the only revealed proper name for “Elohim” of the old testament(Exodus3:13;6:3) and “Jesus” is the only revealed proper name of “Theos” in the New Testament. (Acts4:12) Islam has no proper name for their god, but merely transformed, by universal use and confusion, the generic Allah into a proper name. So although today, Muslims use “Allah” as a proper name, it was never used this way originally. Allah, therefore is equivalent to “elohim” and “ho theos” but not “Jehovah” or “Jesus”. Allah is not the name of the nameless Muslim God. However Muslims will claim that Allah is the name of God that corresponds to Jehovah. Both the Father and the Son are called “ho theos”(The God). Jesus is called “The God” many times in the New Testament: John 20:28; Hebrews 1:8. An important conclusion from this, is that the mere fact that “Allah” is equivalent to “elohim” and “ho theos” does not mean they are directly corresponded. It certainly does not prove that Muslim’s worship the same God as Christians. If this correspondence proved the Muslim god was the same as the Christian God, then because pagan religions also have generics that correspond to “the god” (Allah), this correspondence would also prove that Allah is the same god as the Buddhist god, for Buddhists also refer to their god as “the god”. Conclusion; I do not describe my automobile to you as, “The Car”. My car has a personal name such as Ford, Chevy, Honda, Toyota and the desription by a model such as Focus,Civic,Camry, ect. My daughter has a Hyundai and has named him Henry! Why? We are all created in the Image of God and we want a personal relationship with Him! God has a personal name and His name is Jesus Christ meaning the , “Annointed Saviour”. The God/Man Christ came to earth and put boots on the ground for you and me! The facts dispute this allegation! 10 percent of the top wage earners in the United States pay 70 percent of all income tax! 50 percent of all Americans pay no income tax! So where is the fair share? It looks to me like us 50 percent are the free riders or the real bums! What did Jesus say all about this? In the Gospel of Mark Chapter 12, Verse 17 Jesus said, “Render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s and render unto God what is God’s” The problem is Caesar needs to go on a diet! That is why many of us in America are going to try Romney as our new Caesar! For those of you who do not tithe your income to your local church you are putting God on a diet!
