Giving to Ministries!

This is the first thing I do when thinking about giving to a ministry! First check the founder’s net worth and his or her annual salary! Yes follow the money even in ministry! If they a worth millions of dollars and have six figure incomes then they are keeping a whole lot of donations sent to them! It could be a Judas Iscariot ministry! I am not saying give to this ministry at all for our ministry is a poor boy ministry yet God has supplied all our needs for living and ministry! We just want to be good stewards of what God has given us so those funds are not consumed living in million dollar mansions and flying the sky’s in corporate jets! Looking for Ministries

After President Trump modified through executive order the 501c tax exempt status for ministries so they could get their free speech back as guaranteed by our U.S. Constitution not one pastor across America stood up by naming any political candidate running for President of the United States? My only conclusion is money is more important than freedom? Beginning in 2021 I will only support a ministry that is not under the 501c tax exempt status! This may mean all my financial support may have to go to an overseas ministry? If you know of any ministries that are not under the 501c tax exempt status here in America please let me know! Accountable Ministries & Stewards of Mysteries!

1 Corinthians 4:1 “Let a man so [account] of us, as of the [ministers] of Christ, and [stewards] of the [mysteries] of God.” Commentary: Let us look at these four bracketed words in the scripture above. The first word is account. It is derived from the Greek word ‘Logos’. It means the Word of God! Are you an accountant? Do you use your mental calculator? Can we do the math? Jesus said count the cost to follow me! Some begin with Jesus like Judas but sell out for the cost is too great for them! The word means to count something preferable to be answered to! It also means to be applied in a substitutional manner! The work of Christ in you on the earth! Accounted to or responsible to God to promote the Gospel! The second word is ‘minister’. The word means to be a subordinate servant to a superior! A subordinate official means to wait to perform the duties of a superior! This is where so many ministries go wrong! Many do not want to submit to authority! They do not want to be under the authority of another! You know the old saying in the military? You can never be in authority unless you are under authority! Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist! Jesus never went out and did his own thing! I do the will of my Father! Not my will but thy will be done! Are you under authority? Is you church leader under authority? Or are you the Lone Ranger without the Redskin? Did your Pastor get authority approval to buy the ten million dollar mansion or the sixty million dollar jet? Is your Pastor under the authority of another human being? True ministry is under authority! Authority of God and man! Did you get approval from your pastor to run off and start a ministry somewhere? Are you covered by his prayers? The next word is steward. It means to manage the affairs of another! Judas was in charge of the money! It means to manage the affairs of your family! The church! The Body of Christ! To manage the Gospel in a spiritual dispensation! If a revival would break out across your nation would you have the skills to manage it? Do you have problems managing your own life? If you cannot manage a small group then how could you manage bigger things? It still amazes me how Pastor Cho in Korea managed the largest church in the world through small group ministries? It is certainly a mystery which is our last word study in this scripture verse! Mysteries are the hidden revelations of God revealed at the proper time and place! We have the Book of Revelation! They are revealed to those that are submitted under the authority of God! They can be anyone who is submitted to God and his Christ! Any mystery is outlined in your Bible! For example plagues or pandemics! Many scriptures on this topic including what Jesus said about them! The judgment by them and the deliverance from them! Mysteries are disclosed and divinely revealed and validated by historical events! The birth of Jesus! His resurrection! His ascension! His second coming! The events around these events! Signs! Wonders! End time events! The nature of God is revealed through scripture! His love and his judgment executed on all! Mysteries are revealed through his miracles! If you can figure it out it is probably not from God! Without faith it is impossible to please God! Night Owl Ministries Mark 1:32-34

They say when the sun sets the party begins! There was good reason for the people to celebrate for Jesus cast demons out of them and healed all their sick bodies! The passage says all the city came out to see him! Why a big crowd at night time? We know that infirmities seem to get worse at night! You cannot sleep! As we learned in India all the people were working during the day so we could only go to them at night! In the night on the mountain in Yercaud India it was not easy! We would travel by motor scooter until the trail was only a foot path up the mountain then with flashlights make our journey to the remote villages! The rich young ruler came to Jesus by night! He was afraid the religious rulers would see him go to Jesus! Likewise in Yercaud the people who lived above us on the mountain would only come at night because the Catholic Priest warned them that since their huts were built on church property they would have to move if they came to us for prayer! Not all Catholic priests were like this for one came to us for prayer in the daytime and then left the church back in the 1980’s and began which became a big evangelistic ministry in India! Many Catholic priests love God and are doing a good work! I am sure that some religious leaders were losing sleep as Jesus delivered people from their sin! Ministry is not easy but the rewards of seeing people delivered by Jesus is the most rewarding thing you will ever do! When the local Pastor would hold his flashlight on my Bible and the candles lit all I could see was the reflection of the light in their eyes! When revelation would come to me by the Holy Spirit and was translated into their language their eyes would brighten up and reflect more light from the candles! No money can buy this kind of joy! When your container is full of joy you have to share it with others! They may come to you in the secrecy of the night but one touch from God and they will tell the whole world! Giving to Ministries

I cannot tell you where to give or how much to give! That is between you and God! Jesus said it is more blessed to give than to receive! I am not soliciting to give to this ministry or any other ministry! I got a call from Joel Osteen Ministries today Sunday. They wanted a $35 dollar donation. I suggested to the caller that he should make a disclaimer to all donors that our tithe first belongs to the local church! He agreed yet I asked him why he did not tell me this? Then I asked him if he worked for Joel Osteen Ministries? He told me he was a private contractor collecting money for the ministry. I told him I thought Joel was a good preacher but does not enter into the cultural warfare breaking down America! I mentioned that Joel lives in a 10.5 million dollar mansion! He owns another house worth 2.9 million and another lot worth 1.9 million! The caller told me we cannot judge him! I told the caller I am not judging anyone but these are just facts about Joel’s lifestyle! His lifestyle does not fit the Jesus I know in my Bible? I told the caller I appreciate him giving up his 200 thousand annual dollar salary back in 2007 from the church. However his net worth is 40 million dollars! He sells his books but most of the money is gained by Christian’s buying his books! This is money from believer’s in the Church! Could this money have been more productive by church member’s investing in their local church? Also the 501c tax exemption allows the escape of tax money to the treasury department and that short fall has to be made up by the American tax payer! The caller told me I need to move on! Here is the point I am trying to make! Jesus said to render unto God what is His and to Caesar what is his! The tithe is automatic going to your local church! The offering is optional! To give to any ministry I need to see sacrifice from the leadership! If God speaks to you to give to Joel Osteen Ministries do it! Joel’s father is the one who really sacrificed to build the foundation for Joel! The same can be said of Franklin Graham. He gets 880 thousand dollars per year annual salary! Billy Graham’s net worth is 25 million dollars! I have to see examples of sacrifice for me to invest in any ministry! We need to put our money where our mouth is! These ministries do great things but the love of money is still the root of all evil! I would suggest that all ministries tithe their incomes to other ministries and support for the poor, widow’s and orphans! My prayer is those who read this will get a conviction in their heart’s including myself to be wise with our resources and invest into those who mirror Jesus Christ the most! A Better Way to Pray! Matthew 6:7-8

Prayer is not informing “poor uniformed” God! He knows what you need before you ask! Prayer is your opportunity to fellowship with Him! As believers in Jesus, we have a restored relationship with God to where we can boldly approach the Throne of Grace, as it says in Hebrews 4:16. You can fellowship with God anytime you like! Two Ministries!

We have two ministries in our church. The first is the preaching of God’s Word out of the Holy Bible. People don’t like to hear things out of the Bible? Too many warnings along life’s path for them? Don’t turn to the left but go to the right! Caution! Turn around! Cliff ahead! Our second ministry is our counseling ministry. Andrew Wommack Ministries!

The Bible says it is unwise to compare and is the killer of joy! Let me just make an observation about this ministry. What I see as a red scarlet thread through the fabric of this ministry is a consistent determination of pointing people to Jesus! Sometimes people will try to promote their own organization or ministry as the only reason you are Blessed! Sometimes people will try to say the only reason you are Blessed is because I pray for you! What about Jesus interceding for us right now in prayer at the right hand of the Father? No organization can save you and no ministry can save you and no Pastor can save you but only Jesus Christ!
