Moses Gets Rocked! Numbers Chapter 20
One of the greatest Patriarchs gets into trouble with God along with his brother Aron the Priest! On their journey from Egypt they get in a rough place in the desert of Zin. A dry desert with no water! How would you like two million people at your customer service counter complaining they have no water? They complained to Moses and told him it would have been better if he would have left them in Egypt! Moses goes to God and He tells Moses to take his rod along and speak to the rock! The rod represents his authority! God did not tell Moses to use the rod but simply speak to the rock! So Moses instead of speaking to the rock hits the rock twice with his rod! He got the same results as speaking to the rock as water gushed out of the rock but was in disobedience to God! Moses name means to be drawn out of the water. However in this case the water got him in trouble! It was the same water that saved him on the Nile River but this time not in obedience! Moses was saved by the water as a baby by the obedience of another! We are saved by the obedience of another Christ on the Cross! Moses and Aron got punished and did not enter the Promised Land! Leadership is not easy! The rewards are great and so are the risks! God may have or is performing Miracles through you but remember He can use anyone or anything! To steal God’s Glory has consequences! We must not be presumptuous in regards to God’s character! We do not live in fear of God but recognize His ways are always higher than our ways! Moses today is most likely one of the 24 elders seated before the Throne of God in Worship! If we sin and make a mistake repent quickly and give the outcome to Christ for the rest of your eternity! Edict of Milan 313 A.D.
The Edict was an agreement to treat Christians benevolently within the Roman Empire. Western Roman Emperor Constantine I, and Licinius, who controlled the Balkans agreed to change policies toward Christians following the Edict of Toleration by Galerius issued two years earlier in Serdica. The Christians would not obey the institutes of antiquity and for conscious sake were granted an indulgence saying, “They ought to pray to their God for our safety, for that of the Republic, and for their own, that the Commonwealth may continue uninjured on every side, and that they may be able to live securely in their homes.” Their confiscated property was restored in 313 when instructions were given for the Christian’s meeting places and other property to be returned and compensation paid by the State to the current owners. The Provincial Magistrates were ordered at once with all energy to execute this order so that public order may be restored and the continuance of Divine favor may preserve and prosper our successes together with the good of the State. Comment: Why do our Justices here in America wear long robes? The Roman Emperor’s began to see the benefit of Christian’s living among their populations! They learned that they were the only one’s they could trust! So the Christian Priest’s wore their robes from their religious duties to the Roman Civil Courts to preside over civil cases! Roman Colosseum 80 A.D.
The largest amphitheater in the world was built in Rome in 80 A.D. The average attendance was 65000 people! Nice but few Christians know how it was funded and who really built it? Emperor Vespasian funded the project from the spoils taken from the destruction of the Jewish Temple in 70 A.D. Remember Jesus prophesized the destruction of the Jewish Temple! Also the Colosseum was constructed by 100000 Jewish prisoners taken to Rome from Jerusalem! So what happens in this Colosseum? Over the next 300 years millions of Christians are martyred including Jesus Disciples who wrote our Holy Bible! Buried under the catacombs of Rome are an estimated 8 million Christians! So what can we conclude from history? Many things but importantly when Jews die Christians die! Whether it be WWII and the Nazi’s or other history. God promises that if we Bless the Jews He will Bless us! If we curse the Jews we will be cursed! Let us keep this in mind as President Obama pushes the Iran Nuke deal that the consequences to Israel and the Jews will have consequences to the Christians here in America and around the world! Has America Forgotten 9-11?
Misunderstanding of the present grows fatally from the ignorance of the past! Muslims do not integrate with other cultures but will fight those cultures until they are overthrown! At least during the Crusades the Christians and Muslims were geographically separated! The day after 9-11 President Bush said Islam is a religion of peace? He either does not know history or is in denial? Obama claims the same? However Obama knows who they are and a very good enemy to overthrow the United States! If we cannot figure out 9-11 and the source then we are headed for future ones! Obama is enabling Islam to win this war! The latest example to give Iran 150 Billion dollars plus a Nuke! Do you notice Russian troops moving into Syria? Remember he told Putin I can do more for you after I am re-elected? Islam will fight as long as it takes to defeat America and they have 1300 years of history to prove their intent! You are all stupid people! I can only assume stupid people elected you! I have a list of 40 senators and 200 congressmen and Women who need to turn in their resignations by the end of the week! Loud applause! I want the illegal Mexicans to build the wall! This will be their path to citizenship! They will all do construction from the south side of the wall! Yes all 11 million of you! Once the wall is completed we will break a hole in the wall and build a door! When you go through the door heading north we will hand you your citizenship papers! You will then be employed as border security guards! For every illegal that gets in we will escort you back through the door heading south! You will drop your citizen papers in the burning barrel by the door as you leave! What about anchor babies or drag queens? They will baby sit the illegals children while they are building the wall!
