They believed that evolution would inevitably improve men over time to a state of perfection! Their neighbor Hitler also believed the same thing! Hitler believed he could speed up the process by getting rid of the undesirables on planet earth through war! These two cultures believing the same Darwin theory clashed in WWII. There is no historical evidence to support Darwinism but evidence proves just the opposite! The Bible denies evolution and that man is a sinner in need of repentance to God! After teaching our children in public schools for nearly 100 years that Evolution is a real science is it any wonder socialism has a large political following? Do We Worship The Sacrifice?
In the Old Testament the blood animal sacrifice was never worshiped. It was used as a means to atone for the sin of man! Remember also that human sacrifice was never allowed! It had to be innocent blood and man was a sinner! The Jews used animal sacrifice for thousands of years looking forward when God would one day provide the sacrifice! I could do a good thing but I am still a sinner! I could kill a terrorist and you might applaud me but I just killed someone! Finally Jesus comes along! The Jews and the Romans did not look at Jesus as a human sacrifice but a criminal making crazy proclamations! The Jews could not comprehend Him even though their scriptures predicted Him hundreds of years earlier! Jesus was not a human sacrifice because He was God! All views cannot be true because all views are opposite; this is the logical aspect. For example, Islam says we are good in nature; Christianity says we were born in sin. Do Christian’s Sin? 1John1:8-10, 1John2:1-2
The Apostle John was writing to believers, saved people, born again people who were members of the churches in Asia Minor around 90 AD. Let us start at Verse 8; If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. Verse 9: If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Verse 10; If we say we have not sinned we make him a liar, and his word is not in us! Comments: John goes on to say in Chapter 3 that who is born of God cannot sin? Do we have a contradiction here? We will discuss Chapter 3 and do Greek translations of key words next time. John makes it clear in Chapter 1 that we are sinners and need a Saviour everyday and forever! Jesus established ordinances in the church such as communion to examine ourselves!
