Matthew 6:34 “Take therefore no thought for tomorrow, for tomorrow shall take thought for the things of itself: sufficient unto thee today is the evil thereof.” Isaiah 41:10 “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee, Yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Comment: All evil has its root in people not trusting God! That is what happened to Satan! I must do for myself for God cannot be trusted! Then sin follows! Jesus said the evil of today is sufficient! Do not stack evil upon evil! Trust God today! The word fear means that something bad is going to happen to me! The opposite or fear of God is that he will deliver us from evil! Franklin Roosevelt said the only thing we have to fear is fear itself! Fear causes us to create our own reality in our minds! It is not the reality of God! Fear exists outside of God! Fear is created by Satan! We can talk ourselves into a recession! You can talk yourself out of prosperity and into poverty! You can talk yourself out of poverty into prosperity! Your reality is formed by the words you speak! Fear is the opposite of faith! Men are to confess their sin unto God and their salvation unto men! However most hide their sin from God and confess their sin unto men! Our talk must be pleasing unto God! Our meditation unto him and his love for us! Meditate on his Word! Read your Bible! As a man thinketh so is he! Remind God who he is and Satan of his defeat! Let Satan fall by himself and not drag you along with him! We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us! RideShare Pass!
It was 1973 and Hamsa and I were just married! It was also the start of America’s greatest recession which lasted until 1975! It was the year of the Arab Oil Embargo and President Nixon being impeached! In a matter of a few months living in Denver Colorado we were both laid off from our jobs! So together each day we would go out to the Aurora Colorado unemployment office and look for work! We were still excited about our daily trips to the office because we were living life together! We shared our problems and our joys! We no longer had to be alone! We were having fun in spite of the economic downturn! Our world was bigger now because it included two instead of one! Two could pull easier than one! We solved problems together! I was newly saved and had found Christ! Together we shared our Savior! A three stranded cord is not easily broken! I remember coming out of that office and meeting a blind man on the street! He had an escort and I asked him if I could pray for him? The escort seemed irritated but allowed so I prayed for this man for Salvation and a healing! I long for some of those days where our possessions were few but our Faith was great! When we accumulate too many earthly possessions we can begin to trust those rather than God! So what is the cure? Give them away! That is what Jesus told the rich man to do! To be rich in Christ is better than silver and gold! As Christmas is approaching remember our joy is not based on what we can do but based on what God has done for us! We have not deserved or earned his gifts we just need to receive them! Jesus purchased our RideShare tickets! He has punched those tickets for us and are now along for the ride! Global Warming in France?
Really sad for the French people are suffering from heavy taxation for socialism policies including a carbon tax and fuel tax that are based on the phony global warming scheme! Global warming is a myth and is used by the political left or socialists to extract money from the hard working citizens through heavy taxation! Diesel fuel is over six dollars per gallon in France! We are about two dollars per gallon here in America! If we had to pay those prices America would go into a deep recession or even a depression! President Trump did not go for the global warming fraud to politically drain the finances of the American people! President Emmanuel Macron needs to wake up and see his error and remove these burdensome taxes on the French people! Then to abandon socialism and the heavy tax costs to his citizens! Shrink the huge government and relieve the people of these heavy burdens! Giant socialistic governments require huge taxes from the people to support it! Socialism has failed everywhere it is tried yet the left just wants to try failure one more time! Utter stupidity! A lean efficient government will relieve the people of heavy taxes and the people will spend that money into the economy which will lead to business prosperity for France! Church! Make America Great Again!
The millennial generation sometimes know as the Y generation is made up of people between the age group of 22-35 years old. The Great Recession has hit this generation the hardest! Not only do they suffer from high unemployment rates they have abandoned the church! According to the Barna Group and other studies only 2 in 10 attend church services! 59 percent of millennials who were raised in church have dropped out! 35 percent of millennials have an anti-church stance believing the church does more harm than good? Millennials are the least talked about age group in church! Can you sense the hopelessness here? If the church is going to help make America great again we have to catch this generation! If not the church in America is just one generation from extinction! There are some underlying possible reasons for the exodus! The baby boomer generation neglected their kids while pursuing the American dream! The teaching by secular public funded schools promoting evolution and other atheist doctrines! They feel abandoned by the low economic status and abandoned by the culture! We have to restore hope to this generation and the first step of the church of Jesus Christ is to identify the problem and then to do something about it! Perhaps our mission programs need to also make America first and focus on this generation as they feel like foreigners in a strange land!
