When was Jesus Born?

Glad you asked! If I were God I would tell you! There are many ways scholars interpret the estimated date of Jesus birth! From Biblical and historical events and astrological events during the time of his birth. For example the reign of King Herod the Great. The date of the decree for taxation made by Caesar. Even to the type of sheep grazed and birthing at that time and their birthing times according to history. The methods are various but they all zero in on a accurate time frame of when Jesus was born! The priestly order of Zachariah and his time of priestly administration in the Temple is another way to cross check this date! I will give you one method among many methods that are used! If I do not use just one method we will end up publishing a book on this subject! According to Luke Chapter 3 Jesus began his ministry when he was thirty years old. Jesus began preaching after being baptized by John the Baptist. Based upon Luke’s Gospel John began baptizing people in the 15th year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar or about A.D. 28-29. By working backwards Jesus was probably born no later than 1 B.C. Herod the Great died after the January eclipse of 1 B.C. or even 1 A.D. after the eclipse that occurred in December of 1 B.C. When Your Faith Becomes a Religion!

The zealous Darwinist himself is testimony to the power Darwinism can have in a person’s life! It is the beloved creation story of the new atheist! And when Christians embrace Darwinism, Darwin typically becomes a rival to Christ: Doubt about his no-design mechanism becomes bad faith, if not heresy. Such a powerful idea as demonstrated by its adherents-must certainly have had an effect on the Nazis. When the church becomes a pawn in the hands of wicked political men! The Pastors that opposed Hitler were executed! How do 39 percent of Protestants and 45 percent of Catholics vote Democrat here in America! Like in Nazi Germany when your new god is Charles Darwin! When the Pastors across America are muted about this danger by crooked political favors of money through the 501c Tax Exemption! The American Christians are like the frog in the pan of cool water and then the heat is gradually turned on until he is cooked! America cannot be exempt from Darwin when every nation that tried him failed! Replace Christ with any ideology and death comes to any nation! The plague is not our greatest threat to our Democracy it is where the gods of this world replace Christ! Religion becomes a god when any god replaces Christ in any culture! When You No Longer Know You Are Evil!

The trouble with Eichmann was precisely that so many were like him, and that the many were neither perverted nor sadistic, that they were, and still are, terrible and terrifying normal! From the viewpoint of our legal institutions and of our moral standards of judgment, their normality was much more terrifying than all the atrocities put together! Hannah Arendt Commentary: The safety net God has given us is that we are all sinners and have come short of the Glory of God! Salvation is crucial to understanding we all need a Savior! To confess you are sinner is the first step to recognizing you do not have the morality to save yourself or anyone else! When Eichmann, Hitler and the inner circle rejected Christ things were set in motion to destroy themselves and millions more! They were Darwinists rejecting any intervention of God into the affairs of men! They were deceived by sin to a point where they no longer recognized their lost estate and neither were able to recognize their own evil! We see this same cycle in the American political left today! They are unable to see their own evil and then to blame their evil on the opposition just as Hitler blamed the Jews for his evil! To take personal responsibilities for our sin is to confess our sin to Christ and let him take your sin upon himself delivering us from evil! Then we no longer repeat the sin but give it up as a testimony to the power of Salvation! To love our enemies because they need the same opportunity for the Grace we have received! Judgment Begins When? Revelation Chapter 6

Comment: Well you say from first Peter it says judgment begins at the House of God! That judgment is the persecution against the church by the world! That is the judgment by the world against the children of God! The Judgement in Revelation chapter six is the judgment of God against those that have rejected Christ and his church! It is called the Day of the Lord! It is also called the Judgment of Christ! The day of this event something else also happens! We have the Rapture of the Church caught up from the earth and the same day we have the seven seals opened by Christ to judge the earth in rejection of him! This day will mark the beginning of the seven year Tribulation period on earth involving the conflict between Christ and the Anti-Christ,  the False Prophet and their followers! This Tribulation period is concluded with Christ returning to earth at his second coming with the Saints from Heaven! To set up the 1000 year rule and reign sometimes known as the Millennium Kingdom! Notice in verse 16 the wicked of the earth cry out and say who shall escape the wrath of the Lamb? The sacrificial Lamb of our Salvation has returned to earth as a Lion of Judgment with his second coming!  We will also have Jews and Gentiles saved during this tribulation period but they will be martyred for their faith and some are today martyred in the earth! Billions have people in the earth have lived and died but those that trusted Christ have Salvation and are Heaven right now! Those believers in Christ will return to earth following him at his second coming or at the end of the Tribulation period! So we as believers follow Christ while here on earth and in Heaven after we go there and will return to earth with Christ at his second coming!  Who are you following today? Forgive! Why? When? Where? Matthew 18:21

Start your day everyday by saying, “I am forgiven!” Therefore, I forgive you! This truth needs to be reverberating around the world! Go into all the world and preach! Most things Jesus said we agree with. However, it is difficult to live out everyday! Forgive? Seven times? Seventy seven times? We are always forgiven! So why keep score every time you are offended? There are some misconceptions about forgiveness. Some pretend nothing has happened? It is called living on the Egyptian River of denial! Part of the healing process is talking about hurts and pains especially in marriage. Why bring up the past? Maybe so we can talk about it so it does not happen again! Not to shame us but remind us of our failures and need to forgive! Dynamite is compressed tightly together so you get a big bang with very little of it! If we compress our hurts inside of us one day we will explode! The explosion could destroy your marriage! The pain of not talking about it is far worse than everyone knowing about it! It is medicinal to talk about it. Years ago I had a Pastor who was very good from the pulpit but very different away from the pulpit! He was abusive to us and we thought about getting out of the ministry! We left the church and moved to Texas. Forgiving him was difficult and we were counseled to write a letter to him in detail and ask God to Bless his life and ministry! I did write the letter several times and tore the letter up and threw in the trash several times! As I wrote the letter several times the pain within me began to be released! After we forgive do we need to trust again? Violation of trust is a big deal! It is painful! It has harmed us and we want to retaliate! Forgiveness and trust is different. We wish the best for the offender but to trust again? Can trust be earned back? It is very difficult! To earn trust back we must do the right things for the right reasons for a very long time! Here is a visual example. Trust is earned one drop at a time but can be spilled out in one bucket. Don’t kick the bucket over! It takes a long time to fill again! We forgive and do not want bitterness towards someone. They do not owe us! The debt has been cancelled! We tore up the judgments! We do not expect an apology! We have torn up the bill of sale! Acts 7:59-60 Stephen was stoned! Since Colorado has legalized pot some young new members of our church got the wrong idea when I said stoned? I got nods and approval from them then realized the problem! I explained the stoned is a rock! Forgive us our debts and forgive our debtors. Father forgive them was one of those seven sayings Jesus said on the Cross. Stephen said forgive and receive my spirit! How could he say this? Stephen knew he was forgiven! Do not hold sin against others! They do not owe you anything! This is the beautiful explanation of the Remarkable Christian Faith! This sets Christianity apart from every other religion! No Jihad here! We express forgiveness! Christianity has broken through the dark clouds of war! If you forgive much much is forgiven! People who hold judgments forget they are forgiven! We can never forgive more than God does! They do not owe me anything but not an excuse for bad behavior! When we forgive then they do not own us! 1 Peter 2:23-24 Retaliation? They said something about us that was not true? When their ownership of you gets released you get free space in your brain! You now have more capacity! Fill up the spare room with the mind of Christ! Our response shows us whether we have forgiven or not? Deism is one of the oldest religions around. Deism says God exists but is not active in the earth. A big God is not interested in what is going on. So since God is inactive I must act and do His job for Him! God understands who I am and do not have to defend myself! No one owns me or owes me! Leave space for God! Let God set things right! Do you trust God to leave it to Him? If you wrestle with schemes in your mind to defend yourself then they own you! How do I know our dog belongs to us? When you call him by name he responds! If you are owned by someone then they push your buttons to get a response! If God has forgiven you then who can accuse you? Jesus did not retaliate! It is so hard to wait to be seated in a nice restaurant! They hand you this buzzer and you wait and watch people sip tea and enter into senseless conversations while you are starving! They came in the same door some enjoying the good food and others suffering waiting to be served! The same door that allows God’s forgiveness into our heart is the same door that allows un-forgiveness out! Do not be a hostage to un-forgiveness! The tables are filled with people you may not like! Accept the invitation from Jesus at His table as you share God’s mercy with others who are forgiven just like you! Spend the rest of your life serving others! End of the World? Matthew Chapter 24!

About 2000 years ago Jesus disciples asked Him the signs of the end of the age? I suppose we are all curious as His disciples were? Jesus summed it up this way; 1. Many false Christ’s would come. 2. Wars and rumours of wars but end not yet. 3. Famines, pestilences,earthquakes in diverse places. 4. You shall be hated and killed of all nations for my name’s sake. 5. Many shall betray one another and hate one another. 6. Many false prophets shall arise and deceive many. 7. Iniquity shall abound and the love of many shall wax cold. 8. He that shall edure to the end shall be saved. 9. This Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then the end shall come! Comments; We have little control or no control over the first 8 events! However the last event number nine we as Christian’s can all participate in!
