God (Theos) Strongs #2316. This word was taken from Greek culture. Remember the Greek culture were nature worshippers! Idol worshippers! They worshipped creation! The gods of the sun, moon and stars! Their divine worship also included other deities! Much like the Aztecs and Hindu’s do! At Mecca the Muslim’s had 360 Idol’s! One for each day! They took what they thought was their best idol and named him Allah! The Greek word used here for “God”, is singular and masculine! That is correct God has a gender! The word Theos means the true God as opposed to false gods! False gods are man made gods! The famous Greek poet and musician Orpheus called the ancient Greek gods demons! How do you become a demon? It is a choice! Like Lucifer (The Fallen Angel), if you make yourself god and reject the true God you have as a created being worship yourself a created being and you become a demon! Atheism is self worship! You make yourself God by declaring there is no God! Charles Darwin was an atheist and based Evolution on the belief there is no God! The angels (Lucifer, Michael and Gabriel), are created beings so we must not worship them! Lucifer who became Satan in his rebellion was cast out of heaven! Elohim is a Hebrew word for God. It is also singular and masculine! It translates the God of gods! The God of Israel! God is set apart from creation though actively involved in creation! He is the cause for everything and the Trinity pre-existed creation and always was, is and forever will be! So in the Trinity do we have three gods? No! Psychology of Religion!
David Wood has an upcoming video on YouTube that will explore the psychology of Mohammad and why he included elements of Christianity and Judaism in his proclaimed visions of God! Then why did he command his followers to kill Christians and Jews? When David completes this study i will post a summary on our blog. I want to give you an example of the psychology of religion! When the Muslims invaded North India centuries ago they slaughtered millions of Hindus! In order to survive the Hindus adopted elements of Islam in their religion! Today that new religion Sikhism has both elements of Hinduism and Islam! Dinesh D’Souza has discovered something interesting while debating atheists in universities across America! He has found atheists are not really atheists but are mad at God! So they will psychologically create an alternative view and teach this to their students in colleges and universities across America to get a following and get even with God! Lenin was also mad at God! So was Darwin and his evolutionary push back! These are fascinating studies and i consider David Wood an expert on Islam from his years of intensive study on this religion. Is Grace for Everyone? Ephesians 2:8
The word Grace used in verse 8 is connected to other words in this passage such as faith, saved and gift. The word grace does not stand by itself! However in the interest of time we will just cover the word grace here. Grace is many things! It is expressed in a person! We must remember grace is initiated by God! Grace is an act of God manifested in you and me which brings joy, peace, pleasure and gratification! It is God’s favor on your life! He bestows unmerited benefits on your life! At the end of the day grace has pardoned your sin! Grace is God doing for you what you cannot do for yourself! So is grace bestowed upon Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, agnostics and atheists? The internal grace God has given everyone is to know when we have done wrong! Then the product of sin will be guilt! Guilt is destructive unless you know what to do with it! If not you end up on drugs and other mind altering chemicals! We take our guilt to the Cross and receive more grace! Do not try to carry it yourself! I remember a lady years ago asked me if God can forgive any sin? I told her yes! She told me but i cannot forgive myself! I asked her if she was greater than God? To reject grace is to reject Jesus Christ! So then what do you have left? You create your own religious system or ideology to support a defense against grace! It might be secular or religious! It might be the evolutionist who says God has no part in creation of the world! It might be Islam or another religion justified by works that creates murder of yourself and others to get to heaven! It could be a Hindu who creates millions of gods to appease his guilt! If sin can be justified then more sin will follow! When you act in your own name or in the name of a man created god bad things happen! God gave grace to everyone by going to the Cross and being raised from the grave for our justification! God dying for your sin and guilt not by your own efforts! Grace is hard for some to receive because it removes their own efforts and places the burden of proof on God! It is the easyist thing to do but man will complicate by his own efforts! You have to be humble to receive a free gift but to reject grace borders on a idiot! Thankyou. Grave Yard Charm! India 1985
Sound appealing? Would any church leader surround his church with a grave yard? Probably would not be a draw for big crowds? Most people here in America today want a grave yard placed out of their sight! In our mission work in India I discovered churches completely surrounded by grave yards? It seemed foolish at first until I spent a few years there and then it made sense! What the British did in India for 200 years was take the Gospel to the people! One of the problems faced there was Hindu’s and Muslim’s taking over a church, desecrating the altar and erecting a temple or mosque over it. This same problem going on in Britain and America today. So the British surrounded the churches with grave yards especially in remote area’s of India! Halloween would have been a big hit there! The Muslim’s and Hindu’s were fearful of grave yards so they left those churches alone! So the British protected their central worship centers while reaching out to the community in evangelism. We discovered this first hand because we rented out an old fellowship hall next to the grave yard and no one would attend our meetings! So we moved our location from the church and Hindu’s and Muslim’s began to attend services! The fear of death is a bondage to men! This is why Easter reminds us and confirms to believer’s in Christ that death has been conquered! He is risen! He who also promises us to raise us from the dead! As I used to walk through the grave yard on my way to worship services I was reminded of my mortality and that Christ who I serve defeated death for me! My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus Blood and righteousness! Jesus is more than a man He is God! Only God could achieve the miracle of the resurrection from the dead! O’ death where is thy sting? O’ grave where is thy victory? The opposite of fear is love! For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son! Christ will return to judge the living and the dead! Islam and War India
The Moplah rebellion in 1921, (also known as the Mopla riots) was a British-Muslim and Hindu-Muslim conflict in Malabar Kerala. It involved forced conversion to Islam! There were clashes that provoked arsonists who took to the streets burning and destroying government property! At first the focus was on the British but then turned into a Jihad against Hindus. A wave of a great number of killings and massive forced conversions to Islam swept the region! The most serious acts of violence spread the Madras now Chennai. Source; Encyclopedia Britannica. Comment: The biggest number of deaths caused by Muslims occurred in North India Centuries earlier when millions lost their lives! Muslim Conquests in India Create New Religion!
Muslim conquests of the Indian subcontinent mainly took place from the 12th to 16th centuries. There was a limited incursion by Muslims in the 8th century. The slaughter of Hindu’s and Buddhists was severe and the Indian culture was looking for a way to accommodate the convert and die demands of Islam! The beautiful thing about Christianity is it is not convert or die but convert and live! Guru Nanak (1469-1549), founded a religion that included Islam, Hinduism and some Sufi mysticism. He began teaching in 1515 A.D. and today has a following of about 30 million Sikhs! Sikhism combines these as a way of reconciliation with the Muslims. What I did find with boots on the ground 3 years in India that they are the most challenging people to witness the Gospel of Jesus Christ too! They are a very bold people but yet respectful! When Britain and the United States were fighting the Japanese in Burma during World War II were quoted as saying, “We do not fear the Brits or Americans but we do fear the Sikhs!” Sometimes they get upset with our Gospel Tract, Who is God?
