Christmas Gift? Seal of God! Revelation 9:4
Remember in Revelation 5:1, the word book translated Bible in the Greek. The Bible in Heaven is sealed with 7 seals. Only one is worthy to open these seals is Jesus Christ! The Bible is not sealed here on earth but open to all who will receive it. When Jesus opens the seven seals in Heaven judgment is released on men on the earth. Now let us fast forward to Revelation 9:4. God’s judgment misses those on earth who have the seal of God in their foreheads! Notice it does not say on their foreheads but in their foreheads! This simply means those who have the mind of Christ and are sealed by the word of God which is the Holy Bible. Christmas is about the word of God becoming flesh! Christ born into the earth! The word of God defends us from the judgments of God and seals us from unrighteousness! We have no better defense and no better offence to win the battles before us! The Flying Bishop! Ezekiel Chapter 1
Bishop Milton Wright was President of two Bible Colleges and Bishop of two denominations here in America over his career! In the late 1800’s he had travel to the annual Bishop’s Conference. His son Wilbur drove him to the train station by horse and buggy. He boarded a steam engine locomotive for travel to the conference. As presiding Bishop things went well at the conference except for one crazy Pastor who had visions of men flying in machines! This Pastor disrupted the conference with his loud outbursts about this vision. Bishop Wright put this Pastor on probation and warned him he would not tolerate weird behavior in our denomination! When Bishop Wright got home he explained to his son’s Wilbur and Orville the strange vision this Pastor had at the conference! By the way boy’s what are those strange contraptions you are assembling in our barn? Boy’s please tend to your farm work and take care of our horses, cows, pigs and chickens! Boy’s our barn is starting to look like a machine shop? One thing I have learned for over 50 years of Bible study is that what we see on earth first existed in Heaven! Abuse a Stranger Exodus 22:21
President Obama quoted this scripture to justify his actions to give millions of illegal immigrants legal status through executive order! Obama is changing our laws all by himself? If a stranger is breaking the laws of the United States whether citizen or illegal there are consequences! We have laws for rape, murder, robbery and other crimes but if we change the laws to accommodate these crimes we are no longer a nation of law! If our laws can be changed by one man we are no longer a democratic nation of constitutional law! Then we will become a lawless nation! Watch what God told Israel in the previous verse 20. Quote; “He that sacrifices unto any God, save unto the Lord only, he shall be utterly destroyed!” Most of the crimes committed against American citizens from 9-11 forward have been committed by strangers or foreigners! There is another scripture that says a law is just if it is used justly. Is enforcing our laws just? Is not enforcing our laws just as President Obama has done over and over again! The purpose of the executive branch of our government is to execute or enforce our laws! Obama has failed doing his job! Anarchy is at our door step! Sunday School Truancy!
My little brother Tommy and I moved to Colorado in 1962. I was 12 years old and Tommy 10. We attended a Methodist church in Loveland. Our parents would drop us off for Sunday school and then return one hour later for the main service. Our parents would give us a dime each for the Sunday school offering. That was big money then since gasoline was 20 cents per gallon! The problem was there was a Dairy Queen just one block up from the church and it was open on Sunday! A dime would buy a big milk shake so we cashed in! We showed up at the Dairy Queen with black pants, white shirts, bow ties, crew cut hair with lots of butch wax on top! The hard part was after church when mom asked us what we learned in Sunday school? We struggled and sweated but came up with an answer like he talked about God. It was the owner of the Dairy Queen that blew our cover! We came into the store one Sunday morning and the owner said, “My goodness boys your church sure gets out early!” We went into panic mode and went back to Sunday school! The point here is back in those days the shop owner could have sold out for money and looked the other way! A Sin Unto Death? 1 John 5:16
John opens by saying if any man see his brother sin a sin not unto death he shall ask and he shall give them life for them that sin not unto death. Any sin that is not unto death is a sin that is repented of! A sin unto death would be a willful, continuous unrepentant sin! Ananias and Sapphira would be two examples of a sin unto death of two believers!
