Using astronomy software and an article written by astronomer Craig Chester and based on the work of Ernest Martin, Larson thinks all 9 characteristics of the star of Bethlehem are found in the events in the skies of 3-2 B.C. Highlights include a triple conjunction of Jupiter, called the King planet with the fixed star Regulus called the King star, starting in 3 B.C. Larson believes that may have been the time of Jesus conception. By June 2 B.C., nine months later, the human conception period, Jupiter had continued in its orbit around the sun and appeared in close conjunction to Venus in 2 B.C. In Hebrew Jupiter is called “Sedeq”, meaning “righteousness” a term used for the Messiah, and suggested that because the planet Venus represents love and fertility Chester believes astrologers would have viewed this as indicators of a coming new King of Israel and Herod would taken this seriously! Astronomer David Reneke independently found that in 2 B.C. planetary conjunction would have appeared as a “bright beacon of light.” Jupiter next continued to move and then stopped in its apparent retrograde motion on December 25th of 2 B.C. over the town of Bethlehem! Since planets in their orbits have a “stationary point”, a planet moves eastward through the stars but after passes the opposite point in the sky from the sun, it appears to slow, come to a full stop and moves backward(westward) for some weeks. Again it slows, stops and resumes its eastward course. The date December 25th that Jupiter appeared to stop while in retrograde took place in the season of Hanukkah and that date later was chosen to celebrate Christmas. Merry Christmas! Pride! 2 Kings 20:17-18
Please don’t get me wrong! King Hezekiah was a good man! God healed him from death, turned back time for him and added 15 years to his life! Pride is the most celebrated word in America but the least talked about word in the church! Gay pride day? Pride is like a bottle of poison that tastes like candy with no warning label on it! It always follows success! If you do not believe you suffer from episodes of pride then you are as blind as our first parents Adam and Eve! We have ten words for pride in the Hebrew and three words in the Greek in our Bible. Here are some definitions for pride from these root words; Arrogancy, swelling, pomp, haughtiness, loftiness, elation, grandeur, proud, raging, exhaultation, presumption, self-confident boasting, smoke without flame or smoltering, and ties and binding. Remember Samson got tied! The word i have not listed yet is the one i like best! Pride means to turn your back! Some people turn their back on God! Peter did! I don’t know him? Jesus did not turn his back on Peter! Have people turned their backs on you? Friends or family? Church members or a Priest or Pastor? Have we turned our backs on them? I have asked Jesus why i should try to establish a relationship with them? Jesus asked me do i want to be like them or like me? The Middle Eastern Christians who were beheaded this past two years did not turn their backs on Jesus! Do we turn our backs on the poor, widows, orphans and single moms? After success King Hezekiah showed off his wealth to the Babylonians! After this Isaiah warned him that this would result in Babylonian captivity and his sons would live in their palace court as eunuchs! We believe Daniel was a eunuch in the court there during their 70 year captivity however it did not impede his Prophetic words as recorded in our Bible! Pride was the very first sin and the sin that causes us to turn our backs on God and others! Humble yourself that you may turn people’s heart towards God! Jesus humbled himself even to death on a Cross! Thankyou James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com
What are Sodomites? 1 Kings 15:12
King Asa was one of the few good Kings of Israel. Out of 40 Kings Israel had 7 good Kings! Does that sound like American President’s? King Asa politically removed the sodomites out of land and removed all the idol’s his father had made. So what is a Sodomite? What is an idol? Let us go back to the Hebrew root word. A sodomite is a male Temple prostitute! These were homosexual prostitutes. Like we have in America today! Now this is where it gets interesting! The Hebrew root word for sodomites comes from another Hebrew word. This word means to set apart for Holy service such as the first born male child was set apart and consecrated to the Lord! But the Sodomite males were consecrated to sin and Satan! This is why i believe homosexual behavior is blasphemy against God! What is an idol? When you go back to the Hebrew root word it means a rolling stone! Sounds like a rock band? I witnessed the rolling stones while living in India for 3 years! They put the idol’s on wooden carts with wheels tied to an ox and paraded through the streets! Idol’s are abstract images of who someone would believe God would look like! Man making God! I thought God made man? So King Asa removed the gays and idol worshipers out of the land of Israel. American Pastor’s with very few exceptions do not preach what the Bible says about gays and lesbians? If you added up all the scriptures that the Bible says about gays and lesbians you would think God was homophobic? I had heard some Pastor’s say all sin is the same? Really! What about the unpardonable sin? Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit! If all sin is equal the why not give all felons the same prison sentence? Some Pastor’s say the Old Testament no longer applies? Really! Jesus said that if you love me keep my commandments! Where are these commandments found? The Old Testament! Jesus was constantly quoting Old testament scriptures! Jesus said He came to fulfill the law! Many say the Old Testament points to the New Testament but the New Testament also points back to the Old testament! Why do we have an Old Testament? Shall we rip it out of our Bibles? Why do we not hear any preaching on the unpardonable sin? Should be a hot topic! There is only one book i will ever promote! That is the Holy Bible! Books come and go but this Book will open your eyes to look through the lens of God’s eye and see truth! Thankyou. James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com
Is God in the Darkness? 1 Kings 8:12
“Then spoke Solomon, the Lord said that He would dwell in the thick darkness!” Does this scripture sound contradictory? I thought God was light? If it does it is only because of the English word darkness used in this passage! The Hebrew translation is the word cloud! Like a cloud covering the Tabernacle or Temple manifesting God’s presence. Clouds bring rain and life! Now let us take the same English word darkness used in Genesis 1:2. “And darkness was upon the face of the deep.” The Hebrew root word is a completely different word than used in the Book of Kings! The word means destruction, misery, ignorance, sorrow and wickedness! This is just one more example for the case to be made that people who really want to study the Bible need a Hebrew-Greek study Bible! Without this helpful study tool you can miss-interpret the Bible and end up with bad theology! I never want to live or die with the wrong idea about God and His Christ! Thankyou. American Indians Confirm Biblical Event!
Joshua 10:13 “So the sun stood still in the midst of Heaven, and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day.” Comment: American Indians, who would have been on the other side of the earth, have recorded in their culture about a “Long night”, that occurred at the same time in history! Research concludes we had a 48 hour Friday with one sunrise and one sunset. This Friday covers two days of time on the Gregorian-Hebrew calendar. In relation to the earth’s calendar this is one of eight days needed to line up 4096 Gregorian solar years and the 364 day calendar (4110 years) from the seven day creation week to the birth of Christ in 5 B.C. Can you imagine a North American screech owl hunting for a second night? Here are his thoughts, “Wow! Long night! I sure hope the sun comes up? I need some sleep! Really a drag out here tonight! I have eaten so many rabbits I can skip meals for a night! Thank God it is Friday! Is it?” Thankyou. James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com
Accursed Thing? Joshua 7:1
What is the accursed thing? Is it something I had for breakfast? My wife’s cooking? Fast food? It will help you to go back to the Hebrew root word to help understand this. I would suggest you get a Hebrew-Greek study Bible if you want to dig deeper in the Scriptures! According to the Hebrew word this is something devoted to religious use. Some consider this word to have a contradictory element because it can also be something devoted to destruction! So something accursed is either set apart for destruction or set apart to be devoted to God! During the conquest of Canaan the Jews set aside the spoils of war for religious use. That is the silver, gold, bronze, iron and the animals were devoted to religious use. The idea here is since God has given us the victory in war the spoils belong to Him! Much like the tithe and offering today is given to God because He has given us the victory over sin, hell and death! So after crossing the Jordan River in a miraculous way they defeated the first city Jericho in another miraculous way! A man named Achan from the tribe of Judah and his family got greedy and stashed some of the gold from the spoils in his tent! God got angry and in the next battle for the city of Ai Israel got defeated. Joshua went to the Lord and the Lord revealed to him there was sin in the camp! Joshua went through every tent and found the offender! Achan and his family were stoned, burned and buried in the Valley of Achor! Is your life set apart for God or for destruction? What you do with Jesus Christ will answer that question? If you accept Jesus Christ your life will be set apart for Him! If you reject Christ then your life is set apart for destruction! The choice is yours! God will not send you to Heaven or Hell without you deciding! He will not force His will on you! Love demands a choice! So it is up to you! Victory or defeat? Heaven or hell? Light or darkness? Wealth or poverty? Health or sickness? You choose! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com
Is Allah in our Bible? Revelation 13:16-18
Absolutely! It is the word “Beast” used 37 times in the Book of Revelation! The Strong’s number for the Greek word is 2342. If you go to that Greek word it says it has a Hebrew origin. The Strong’s Hebrew number is 5927 and 5928. You can look this up yourself in any Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance. The Chaldean root word means holocaust! The Hebrew root word means to cause to burn, carry up(smoke), to grow, to make to pay, to shoot forth, to stir up, and to take away. So if you do your homework and study your Bible the word “Beast” in the Book of Revelation is not a mystery! So Allah and the Beast are the same words so Islam is the Beast prophetically revealed in our Bible! You may think holocaust and Islam? How about 9-11? How about the Jordanian pilot burned in a cage? How about Hitler and the millions of Jews incinerated in ovens! Islam was allied with Hitler! Obama is helping Iran get the hydrogen bomb with delivery systems! They want to incinerate the world! How about the Christians being burned in Syria? Remember the Book of Revelation was written about 600 years before Islam and Mohammed came along! With 1400 years of Islamic war and history I get it! If you believe your Bible is prophetic then the words that make up those verses and chapters are also prophetic! The scripture always have application whether yesterday, today or forever! God is and has spared His elect from judgment through Jesus sacrificial work on the Cross! How is God going to destroy the world? Fire! Muslim’s believe they are judging the world for God but only God has reserved that for Himself because He is the perfect Judge that knows every heart! Thankyou. James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com
The Beast and “666” Revelation 13:16-18
Before we can talk about 666 we need to discuss the “Beast.” The Strong’s number in the Greek for this word is 2342. If you go to this Greek root word it says this word has a Hebrew origin. If you go to that Hebrew origin it says this word was taken from another Hebrew word. The Hebrew Strong’s number for this word is 5927. This word is the word, “Alah”. Now this is where it gets interesting! This Hebrew word Alah is never used in the Old Testament scriptures! It is a Hebrew word never used in the Bible except to be translated into the New testament word “Beast” used in the Book of Revelation! The word is used 37 times in the Book of Revelation. So the word Beast used in Revelation can also be translated Alah! Remember the Book of Revelation was written about 600 years before Mohammad and Islam ever came along! In Islam the number 666 is a sacred number! We will discuss this in further detail on our next Blog posting. Thankyou. James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com
Hebrew Translation Isaiah 9:6
What I have done here is go to the eight Hebrew root words that make up this scripture and translate it back into English. Well you may say haven’t the translators already done this? Yes they have but I like to dig deeper! You do not have to be a scholar to do this! Anyone with an interest can do this. If you do you will find golden nuggets of truth! So here we go! Fasten your seat belt! Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, an adopted son is given: and the government shall be on His shoulder: and His name shall be declared Miracle worker, advisor, the Mighty God of gods, God’s dwelling place, God as Father and Chief ruler of Peace! Comment: Do adopted kids do well? How about Moses? My name is James but not King James! Hopefully this will shed some light on an old scripture that has stood the test of time. Merry Christmas! Righteous Rule versus Wicked Rule!
Proverbs 29:2 “When the righteous are in authority the people rejoice; but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.” Who are the righteous? The word righteous in the Hebrew means those who live their lives in accordance with God’s standard! The words, “are in authority”, is translated from the Hebrew to mean those who are in the majority or more in number. The word wicked means those who are enemies of God and His people. Even though the world has always been a battlefield between the righteous and the wicked God still has His people everywhere! At the time of Christ’s birth Caesar and Herod ruled wickedly. Their wicked acts against Christ at His birth and at the Cross victoriously produced a foundation of redemption for man! His star today shines brighter to us than to the shepherds around Bethlehem! His light will always shine brighter and brighter as our world grows darker! As we celebrate Christmas remember the Herod’s of today are trying to stamp out Christmas are in the greatest need of Him! Be patient and remember we were once were on Herod’s team with the wicked! Christ is still pouring His love out on the wicked today and we must do the same! Merry Christmas! James and Hamsa Sasse.
