Verse 26; “And he will lift up and ensign or a hurt, strike, defeat or conqueror to the gentile nations from afar, and hiss at them from the end of the earth; and behold they shall come with speed swiftly.” Verse 30: “And in this day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea, and if one looks unto the land, behold darkness and sorrow, and the light is darkened in the Heavens.” Comment: So what is this judgment all about? A nation rejecting God and His Christ! So if God would not spare the Jews who are we? What troubles me most about recent events in America is I see no call for National repentance especially from the pulpits of America? People here including spiritual leaders are viewing these events as a natural occurrence outside of God? Even as the Jews were marching towards Babylon they still did not connect their captivity with their actions? It took 70 years for them to repent and return back to Israel from captivity! Eclipse & Prophecies! Luke 23:44
According to NASA historical maps a lunar eclipse occurred on what we know as April 3, 33 A.D. This is the day Jesus was crucified! According to the Jewish calendar Jesus was killed on the Passover about the 14th of Nisan which is April 3, 33 A.D. An eclipse in Bible prophesy and Jewish and Babylonian history represents a judgment of a Nation by God! The Judgment of the whole world was placed on Jesus on the Cross and the land was covered by darkness for 3 hours! This darkness was covered over Jesus as He died for our sin! Here in America we get a solar eclipse specifically over America only and then Hurricane Harvey hits us! Another Hurricane is on the way they believe will be a category 5! After the Cross the Jews were judged by the Romans in the war 66-70 A.D Also the Temple was completely destroyed and all the wealth of the Temple was carted back to Rome along with one hundred thousand Jewish slaves to build the Roman Coliseum! In America when the provision for the atonement of our sin is rejected with Jesus Christ there is no escape for judgment! If America continues to promote gays, lesbians, transgenders, abortion and the lottery what can we expect? Pastors across America can no longer afford to promote a popular Gospel to a reprobate popular culture! If you will not raise a standard against this blasphemy who will? When the clergy gives up our demise is soon! Since America is not in the end times prophesies something happens to America? Jesus Return with Signs! Luke 21:25-27
Verse 25: “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars, and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring.” Comment: What are signs? Are they like signs along the road giving us directions? The word translated from the Greek means miracles! Like the star over Bethlehem! Signs are miracles which lead to something out of and beyond themselves! They are miracles which have a ethical and moral purpose! These miracles are not so much for what they are but for what they point too! These miracles indicate the Grace and Power of God in the higher Spiritual world. The word earth used here by Jesus means the part of creation that is man’s domain and the history transacted between God and man. What about perplexity? Is it Washington D.C.? It really means a quandary where there is no way out! So we have miracles, distress of nations and perplexity. Jesus wants us to focus on looking up to Him for the evidence of His signs and wonders! God is really saying through the solar eclipse coming that He is in control of all events and confirms those things to us with his miracles! Jesus is saying I will do the miracles in your life that are needed to sustain you and give you the victory over this fallen world! He wants us to look up not down! Look ahead not back! Blood Moon and Signs!
Scriptures: Joel 2:31, Matthew 24:29, Luke 21:25 and Revelation 6:12-13. A Blood Moon is a total lunar eclipse. The lunar tetrad is where four lunar eclipses happen six months apart. For example they have happened on April 15, 2014, October 8, 2014, April 4, 2015 and September 28, 2015. The two April eclipses have coincided with important Jewish Festivals. They occurred on Passover! The October and September eclipses occurred during the Festival of Tabernacles. Eight of the tetrads since the 1st century have coincided on Jewish Holidays! The word sign means to reveal the character and the truth of any person or thing. It is a mark or token. It is a memorial, monument or proof. Simply the signs in the sun, moon and stars is a reminder and confirmation of Jesus promises to us! It is a confirmation that His return is on schedule! His promises to us are revealed in the Heavens and on the earth! Whether the star over Bethlehem or the earth growing dark over Calvary His signs are everywhere!
