Phyllis Schlafly 1924-2016
We pay tribute to her as she brought the Kingdom of God down to earth! She was a Constitutional lawyer and conservative activist. A Harvard graduate she successfully campaigned against the Equal Rights Amendment and opposed the feminist movement! Her books sold millions of copies over the years. She hosted a daily talk show Eagle Forum and i was an avid listener back in the 1970’s and 1980’s! Her father was granted a patent on the Rotary engine design in 1944. Donald Trump is going to honor her at her funeral. She was a great lady and her input made my life better! She respected God and country and honored Christ with service to our nation! Being so close to 9-11 in her passing we are reminded that she stood for American values in which our enemies hate! She will be missed and we know God has a greater work for her now! Thankyou. When i was in grade school back in the 1950″s we attended this small Methodist Church in a little town named Pilger Nebraska. It was Vacation Bible School time and my brother Tommy who was 2 years younger and my cousin Bill who was 2 years older all attended the same VBS class. Cousin Bill spent 2 years in the 3rd grade and he still says it was the best 2 years of his life. It was a hot muggy day in the Nebraska heat and no air conditioning in the church! Our teacher was patient for us and she tried her best to teach us something about the Bible. After our teacher completed the class she asked us what we learned? The county morgue was louder than our response? Suddenly cousin Bill spoke out and said, ” Wow! Look at that big fly on the wall!” Our teacher seemed to move into depression! Born Loser!
In a 1955 TV episode of Gunsmoke this lady in Dodge City Kansas was having a very difficult life! She was a drunk and a prostitute. Everyone in Dodge City who was of good character was trying to help her! This included Sheriff Matt Dillion, Deputy Sheriff Festus, Doc and Kitty. Matt and Festus were in the saloon trying to figure out how to help her while drinking a couple of beers. Festus was deep in thought where he finally came to a conclusion! He said,” Matt you know some people are born losers but the rest of us have to work at it! ”
