Leviticus 26:21 “And if you walk contrary to me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.” Comment: What God is telling us in this chapter that we need to keep his Commandments and Statutes! Make no idols! Keep the Sabbath! Revere my Sanctuary! Do not break my Covenant! If you do these things then I will dwell among my people! Blessings will come! Your enemies will not defeat you! One of the plagues listed in this chapter is a burning fever! God will always judge sin! He is righteous and Holy in him there is no sin! He will always punish sin! This is why he took his only begotten Son and put him on a Cross! He took our plagues upon himself! He became our judgment for us! This is the love of God! However if we reject the blood covenant sacrificial work of Christ then judgment is not stayed but loosed on us as a people and a nation! If no sacrifice for your sin then judgment will follow you! Judgment is like a blood hound following your scent of sin! We have no power within ourselves to defeat it! It will defeat us! Sin will consume you! God consumed your sin on a Cross for you! He took your plagues upon himself! If you reject this only sacrifice for your sin then the plagues are not stayed but released on us! No one by themselves has ever beat sin! Sin and death was defeated by God for you! However to reject Christ is to remove his protection over you! To void your eternity in heaven with him! It still gets down to a choice! God chose our sin and death to deliver us from it on the Cross! For you not to choose him is to crucify him again! Then there is no provision for sin and judgment follows you forever!
