Mark 5:29 “And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.” Commentary: This woman had suffered twelve years from this plague! So how long does a plague last? Until Jesus shows up! The famous bubonic or black death plague lasted 300 years! Like the Coronavirus it came out of China! This plague resurfaced roughly every ten years from 1348-1665—forty outbreaks in just over 300 years! And with each new epidemic 20% of the men, women and children living in the British capital died! Besides the ten plagues of Egypt two different plagues affect the blood in opposite ways! This plague which claimed an estimated loss of life between 75-200 million people caused the blood to hemorrhage as for this woman Jesus healed! The other type of plague such as the SARS-CoV-2 and the Coronavirus cause the blood to clot in vital organs to cause death! My Bible says that the life is in the blood! That is why Jesus gave his blood for us as a sacrifice for our sin! Also to heal our bodies and to raise the dead! I see the problem in the 21st Century church is that most have left Jesus in the 1st Century as a historical figure! They put Jesus in a museum! Does not your Bible say Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever? The church is not to be a social club where we meet once a week and tell each other how great we are! It is a hospital for the sick and wounded! For the poor and depressed! A place where people that have no hope can find hope! Where the sick are prayed over in the name of Jesus! How come no Coronavirus sick called to the church to pray for? Do we believe what Jesus professed? Bring by faith Jesus into the 21st Century and into the midst of the plague! In Matthew chapter 24 Jesus listed the signs of his second coming! One of those signs was plagues! Heal the plagues in the name of Jesus! If the woman with the plague had practiced social distancing and not touched the hem of Jesus robe she never would have been healed but her faith was greater than her disease! James and Hamsa Sasse. Jesus & Plagues!
Mark 3:10 “For he had healed many: insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.” Comment: Twenty one centuries later your answer to the plague is still Jesus Christ! Looked what happened in the next verse eleven! When those with the plague touched Jesus with the plague unclean Spirits came out of them! Then the unclean Spirits confessed that Jesus is the Son of God! Evil Spirits recognize the Divinity of Christ! Why is it that stupid people do not? Evil Spirits recognize the authority of Christ! The Devil is smarter than most people! That is how he deceives them! Every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord and every knee shall bow! It is just some people do that later than others from Hell! Do it while you are still living and have breath on earth! Notice the Coronavirus takes your breath away! You can no longer curse God and your ability to praise him is also gone! Notice in this chapter the religious leaders got together after Jesus healed a man with a withered hand on the Sabbath and plotted to kill Jesus! How is it that the Devil and the Spirits of darkness confess Jesus as Lord yet the religious leaders try to kill him? What fools! To be dumber than the Devil is not a compliment! Can a man survive this Coronavirus without the protection of Christ? No way! No science is going to save you! God made the sciences so he can figure out what the scientist never will! To little too late! Cover yourself in the atoning blood of Jesus Christ! Confess your sin and receive his forgiveness! No Pastor can save you! No church or organization can save you! Only Jesus! This is why Jesus is separating us from organized religion so you will discover you have only one Savior and one God! Take Communion in your home every Sunday! Identify with Christ with your words and your actions! Jesus knows the pretenders and the true followers of him! Judas was a pretender! This plague will sort out fakes from truth followers in Christ! Confess his blood over your life! Take the elements of Communion into your body! Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord to yourself and everyone you meet! Ashamed of him he will be ashamed of you! Bad place to be in! If so change that! Take action! Change your ways! Your life here and after is dependent on what you do with Jesus! Christmas Story
It was Christmas Eve in Brooklyn New York in 1942. The war was on and a difficult time. It was snowing in New York. A cold night as Wilber was walking down the street thinking about his past. Wilber was 98 years old and his past troubled him? He had committed crimes and betrayed his family and many friends. He was most troubled about where he would go if he died? As he went by a church he heard Christmas Carols. Then he thought I know what I can do! I will join a church and this will throw me in with all the good folks. Then I can escape hell! Wilber went into this Lutheran Church and asked the Pastor if he could join the church? The Pastor told him if he could answer one question correctly. The question is where was Jesus Christ born? Wilber thought a minute and said Pittsburg. Sorry said the Pastor you need to find another place. Wilber went back out into the snow and cold and found a Catholic Church. He went in and asked the Priest if he could join? The Priest said he could only if you can answer one question correctly. Where was Jesus Christ born? Wilber strained his brain and said Philadelphia. The Priest told Wilber he was too far gone to make a good Catholic! Down but not out Wilber hit the streets once again. The he walked by a Synagogue but it looked closed. Then he saw a light in one of the back offices so he knocked on the door. A Rabbi opened the door and invited him in. Wilber asked if he could join the Synagogue? The Rabbi said sure you can! Wilbur was perplexed? Are you going to ask me any questions? No replied the Rabbi. Wilber asked the Rabbi if he would mind if he asked him a question? Please go right ahead said the Rabbi. Jesus & Money! Luke 6:38
Jesus talked more about money than he did heaven and hell combined! Jesus talked more about money than anything else except the Kingdom of God! Facts; In 11 out of 39 parables Jesus talked about money. In one out of every seven verses in the Gospel of Luke he talked about money. Jesus said it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter heaven! Jesus instructed the rich young ruler to sell all he had and give to the poor and then to follow him! Jesus said the love of money is the root of all evil! Notice Jesus did not say money was the root of all evil but the love of it! What does the love of money produce? Drugs, abortion, theft, bribes, prostitution, child exploitation, robbery, murder, extortion, kidnapping and separation from God! Do you tithe or give ten percent of all your income to your local church or synagogue? Are offerings a problem for you? Do you trust money more than God? If you tell me you trust Jesus for your salvation and eternal life but not for ten percent of your income you are blowing smoke up you know where! Jesus did not want your money to own you! If you really believe God has given you everything you need then giving back a small portion is no problem! If you believe God is your source then giving back to the source is no problem! If you believe God is owner or creator of heaven and earth giving back is no problem! Your level of trust in God is displayed before him in tithes and offerings! Jesus Resurrection! 1 Peter 3:22
Greek Translation: “Who has gone into heaven the residence of God, and is on the right hand having preference first in high rank equal to God and of God; messenger angels and authorities granted permission by authority with right, might and dominion and powers inherent and capable with great abilities being created in relationship and under the authority of Christ with power to conquer yet lacking the freedom to do their own will.” Our Founding Father’s gave us our Constitution with the balance of power so that not the will of one man could rule over another man! You can only be ruled by another by your own consent as established by our Constitution! Our Constitution is Biblical based! We also cast our vote for or against God! Before I came to Christ and submitted my life, will and abilities under his authority what did I do with my own will? I chose sin every time! I was wicked and opposed the Kingdom of God! I was the enemy of God! Even choosing Christ was beyond my own will it was a miracle! I thought I had life figured out but I was dead wrong! I alienated myself from God and was no good to anyone! There were angels in Heaven that had their own will! Lucifer and his followers or about one third of Heaven! Lucifer became Satan! None of us really have our own will! We will always follow the will of another! If not following the will of another we will lead others to follow our will. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil! You are either going to follow God or Satan! The Holy Spirit and the evil spirits have a great influence over our minds! We are to put on the mind of Christ! That is why we read and study our Bible daily! Remember Jesus prayer? Not my will but thy will be done! If Jesus had done his own will he would not have gone to the Cross! Our own will opposes God! Why? Because we are following the wrong will! Your last will and testament declares who you are following! Satan follows his own will and deceives millions of people into following him deceiving them into thinking they are following their own will! This path leads to death and destruction! God’s will for your life is that you might be saved! Saved from yourself! We are wrapped in the flesh the enemy of God! Flesh and blood will not inherit the Kingdom of God! However the flesh and blood of God and his Christ has redeemed us! Our will has to become his will. Salvation is about giving up your own will and submitting to the will of God! Jesus Second Coming! Matthew 24:40-41
“Then shall two be in the field, the one “be taken”, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall “be taken” the other left.” Comment: What we have here is a description of Jesus second coming to earth. The Greek word, Strong’s #3880 for our English word “be taken”, means to receive oneself to who you are associated with. Remember the rapture of the church has already occurred and the seven year tribulation period has concluded with the second coming of Christ back to earth! The ones left behind that have not been martyred during the tribulation period are kept for Christ and his millennium reign on earth! The ones taken are those reserved for judgment!
