Forsaken? Job 13:15

Hebrew Translation: “Though he slay me, yet will I trust, wait, hoping and expecting in him: but I will maintain, arguing and disputing my case before God continuing my path and lot in life.” Comment: Can we win an argument with God? You may have heard of the story of this old man in a nursing home? He was laying in bed talking to himself! The nurse came into the room and asked him what he was talking about? Hot dog! I just won another argument with myself! The weakness of the flesh and the mortality of life can cause us to argue with God! Why God? Our flesh is mortal but our Spirit immortal! Sometimes we can get these two realities mixed up! Finally Job did win his argument with God! He maintained his integrity through every storm Satan executed on him! His wife told Job to curse God and die! Satan will try to use the mortal flesh as a weapon to blame God for our troubles! When in fact Satan is the author of sickness, old age and death! In Psalm 22:1, David echoed the same words as Job! My God! My God! Why have you forsaken me? David defeated Goliath and now David was running from King Saul trying to kill him! How about Jesus on the Cross in Matthew 27:46? My God! My God! Why have you forsaken me? He repeated it again then died on the Cross! Jesus was man and God! There is no better evidence for his humanity than these words on the Cross! His resurrection from the dead three days later proves his Divinity! We have hope beyond the grave! God makes promises in the scriptures reminding us of our hope in him! A few years ago my mother was in a nursing home at 90 years of age! She was suffering from many physical problems! When I was visiting her a famous young American Pastor came on the television! Mom took the remote and changed the channel? I told mom he was watched by millions and has sold his books to millions of people! He preaches prosperity, health and success! Mom told me wait until he gets my age and I wonder what he will preach? He is not reality to me! Our reality changes over time! However God never changes! His promises to us for Salvation and eternity with him are good forever! Jesus had to wait for three days before his reality changed! At death our reality is changed! Just like at birth our reality changed! Job had to wait months and years for his reality to change! David had to wait a long time before his reality changed! Trust God with his promises to you even when you cannot see an immediate change! Those that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength! My waiting does not negate his promises but will eventually confirm them! God is not the author of suffering and death! Satan is! God is the author of life, redemption and eternal life! My reality of peace, love and joy is from God and is a gift to us! Your reality on earth is not permanent and trust Jesus to change your reality if need be where you no longer trust yourself for your outcome but God! A Prison Ministry! 1 Peter 3:19-20

Comment: It says here that Jesus preached to the spirits in prison! Where? When? In Hell! The three days between his crucifixion and his resurrection! Jesus preached to the captives in the heart of the earth! These two scripture verses are probably one of the most controversial in all your Bible! Theologians over the centuries a lot smarter than me have written commentaries on these two verses! Some have tried to explain it away! The biggest obstacle to understanding these two verses is our own human nature! We do not like to have people get a second chance! It is alright for ourselves but not others! So what was the state of all the people that lived and died before Christ? They missed Christ by birth so what is their future? Remember the dead in Christ will rise first! Jesus preached to all that ever lived before him including those that died in the flood in the days of Noah! So what did Jesus preach to them? The same as today! Victory over fallen spirits! So how many got saved? The Bible does not say? Just as today I do not know how many fallen spirits will be saved I just keep preaching the Gospel and leaving the results to God! Keep in mind after the resurrection of Christ Jesus will not return to the heart of earth as in this case for our redemption opportunity is only today and at our last breath the opportunity for redemption has expired! The Good! Bad! Ugly! II Chronicles 16:9

“For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in behalf of them whose heart is perfect living in harmony with God and peace towards men. Herein thou has done foolishly; therefore from henceforth thou shall have wars.” Comment: King Asa of Judah started out well but did not end well! He began to trust men more than God! It is vanity to trust in men! We are all flawed mortals! God is constantly recruiting men and women to work in his Kingdom here on earth! In the college grid and National Football League recruiters are constantly going out scouting to find the best players! However God’s recruiting program is just the opposite! God will recruit the worst people and turn them into winners! The crazy man walking among the tombs Jesus delivered from demons and he was the best evangelist for his home town! The woman who had five husbands and living with another guy unmarried was delivered from her sin and became a great evangelist for her village! Lazarus after being raised from the dead had an effective ministry in hospice! Mary Magdalene had some devils cast out of her by Jesus and stood by Jesus at the Cross while the other disciples fled and hid out! God always takes the worst and turns them into the best! Who would chose Peter a fisherman with a hot temper and a sharp knife? Who would chose Thomas a doubter? I will not believe unless I can see and touch your scars from the Cross! Why did not Jesus recruit from the Theology seminaries? The religious folks put Jesus on the Cross! Saul of Tarsus was the only exception! God choses people who are wise enough to know they need help! I need his help everyday! He is not my crutch but my Savior! God helped King Asa defeat his enemies! Then Asa began to take credit upon himself for the victories God had given him! He began to steal God’s glory! He robbed God of his praise! Humility moved to pride! Judas stole money from the Temple treasury to betray Jesus! He robbed God and lost his soul! Do you rob God of his tithes and offerings? Be a man or woman after God’s own heart! Remember God loves his enemies! Relinquish all that you could ever be on your own and give yourself to God! God gave himself for you on a Cross! Could you give yourself to him? All of you? For Better or Worse! 1 Peter 3:17

Greek Translation: “For it is better preparing, providing and making ready, if the will of God which pleases God be so, that you suffer for well doing benefiting others, than for doing evil harming others.” Comment: Remember your marriage vows? For better or worse! Sometimes it is better and sometimes it is worse! But together in covenant with God we stay together! Everyone will suffer in this world! Suffering does not discriminate! You will suffer either for the right reason or the wrong reason! If you are suffering for the right reason then your persecution comes from those that hate God! If you are suffering for evil then your persecution is coming from God! In the end Job was rewarded for his righteous persecution! God gave him back all he lost plus much more! Patience is your reward to see the righteousness of God! Time exposes the truth for the righteous and the wicked! Jesus chose suffering to deliver us from Satan our accuser! So what is our obligation back to God for suffering for us? Even though Salvation is a gift from God we still suffer the same persecution Jesus did for us! If you want to love God then receive his gift of eternal life to you! To hate God is to reject his gift! When you lift up the name of Jesus in the earth persecution will come but for the right reason! Rejecting God will bring the judgment of God! Jesus took our suffering and defeated death and the hell that was reserved for us! Now he is seated at the right hand of his Father in Heaven praying for the believer’s in the earth and awaiting the time for his second coming back to earth! He took our judgment and part of his reward is to be judge of all the living and the dead! God’s grace to you is greater than anything you could ever do on your own! By grace you are saved and not of yourselves! When your Facebook, Google or YouTube account is shutting you down because you posted a Bible verse there understand the persecution is against Christ himself and they want to shut him up and the only way to do that is to shut you up! Biblical or Propaganda?

The person who imagined that he could not be the victim of propaganda because he could distinguish truth from falsehood, is extremely susceptible to propaganda, because when propaganda does tell the truth, he is convinced it is no longer propaganda: moreover, his self-confidence makes him all the more vulnerable to attacks which he is unaware! Jacques Ellul (1912-1994), French Philosopher, Socialist and Theologian. Comment: In our world of fake news, virtue signaling and identity politics there is only one weapon that will work against these attacks! Your Bible! Read it daily! Study it! Memorize it! Your Bible is a truth detector! It is a lie detector! It will expose lies in my own life and in yours! Lies that are promoted by academia, religion, Hollywood, social media, government and news media! You can believe your Bible but that is about it! Right now a Finnish politician is under a hate crimes investigation because she posted a Bible verse on her Facebook account! Persecution of the Christian has come and throughout history because we follow Christ and stand by our Bible! Paul said we are to count it all joy when we are persecuted for righteousness sake! The biggest lie is made that your Bible is not true! The Bible is hated because it exposes our sin! Then they have to accept it and repent or reject it and die in their sin! Our lives are either built on truth or a lie! The remedy for sin is also in your Bible! Hitler burned thousands of Bibles then millions of people and he himself burned by the fire! The medicine you take by reading and believing your Bible will save you from the poison of the world! Live for Christ and serve your fellow man with the love of Christ! James and Hamsa Sasse. Gay’s & Rainbows! Genesis 1:28

Comment: Only Noah and his family escaped the worldwide flood that destroyed the entire population of the world! Was it global warming? I do not know if Noah was a Republican or a Democrat but the only one left not to participate in the sin of the then world! By faith he had to build an ark! In Genesis 1:28 just after God created male and female what was his first command to Adam and Eve? Be fruitful and multiply! Gay’s, lesbians and transgenders in the day’s of Noah and just like today they cannot be fruitful and multiply by child birth! Just like abortion the sinners lifestyle reduces populations! God after the flood put a rainbow in the sky as a sign to us that he would never flood the whole earth again! Is it not interesting that the sign of the homosexual movement is a rainbow! They mock God and get in his face and say see you cannot destroy us again because you promised! Leviticus 20:13 and Romans 1:27 make it clear of the consequences of their sin! So in their pride will they repent? The first sin against God was pride! The final judgment of the earth will not be by water but by fire! Much like Sodom and Gomorrah! God has mercy and if they repent their judgment is removed by Jesus who took their judgment on the Cross! If not their sin will judge them with high suicide rates and diseases! Why is Satan Released? Revelation 20:7

Greek Translation: “And when the thousand years were expired with the end goal completed, Satan the prince of devils who casts himself between people to divide them shall be loosed out of his prison.” Comment: Asking questions about God is not a denial of our faith but for clarification! One thing for sure the answers are found in your Bible! Think about the millennium or thousand years of reign of Christ here on earth with perfect peace! All because Satan is in prison! The lion lays down with the lamb! No more war! No army, air force, marines, law enforcement, FBI, CIA, ICE, TSA and the list goes on! No more political races! No terrorists and shooters! Without Satan socialism will work! No one tries to rule over another! No crime! No more sleeping with a pistol under your pillow! No drugs and illegal immigration! No abortion! No slavery! No racism! No persecution of Christians! No more beheadings! No more accidents and plane crashes! No sinking ships! No hurricanes and drought! No floods! However after the thousand years your neighbor calls you and many other saints for a community meeting? He explains to you that you do not have to follow Christ anymore! We can build our own kingdom of earth! Together we will conquer Christ and his followers! We can rise up and war! Wow! Did we have some fakes on earth during the millennium? Satan is let out of the bag and guess what? Division! So what is God’s purpose in letting Satan back unto the earth? God has power to bind him or loose him! God’s purpose for releasing Satan is to bring his final judgment of him into the Lake of Fire! Christ went to the Cross for two purposes! To bring redemption to man and pronounce final judgment on Satan! Old Age!

We have been married 45 years now! Instead of giving each other birthday cards every year we now send each other “Get Well” cards!
