2 Peter 3:6 “Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water perished.” Commentary: I would suggest to you that you read Second Peter Chapter 3 which he speaks of the end times! Earlier in the chapter the Apostle Peter speaks about God setting boundaries at creation between the land and the sea. God sets boundaries! Heaven and Hell! Redeemed sinners and unredeemed sinners! Righteousness and wickedness! Healthy and the sick! The living and the dead! In the Day’s of Noah in judgment of wickedness God flooded the earth and all perished except Noah and his family who listened to God and built the Ark! Remember the same water that drowned the world saved Noah and his family! This is how the Salvation of God works! The world is either saved by Jesus or judged by Jesus into everlasting life or everlasting death! Through the Coronavirus you can have just mild symptoms of a cold or flu or you can die from pneumonia. In pneumonia your air sacks in your lungs are filled with fluid so you essentially die by drowning! I am not saying everyone who dies from the Coronavirus is wicked but I am saying we by the same water we need to live by drinking can be the same water that causes death! Many in the Bible were consumed by the fire in judgment yet the three Hebrew children were saved in the fire with the fourth man or Christ in the furnace with them! God will one day destroy the earth and the heaven by fire and create a New Heaven and a New Earth! Do you think you or I can escape this fire unless God is in the fire with you? Only a fool would try on his own! You can call the fireman but he will perish with you! During our swine flu of 1918 over six hundred thousand Americans perished! Sometimes it is called the Spanish flu however it as far as we know carried by our military troops going to Europe in WWI. There was a sick herd of pigs in Kansas near the Army base and they believe it was carried to humans there! They may have eaten the pork and infected!They carried the plague to the trenches of the war in Europe and it spread to troops from all nations and then when those that survived the war went back to their respective countries it was spread with about one hundred million total deaths! The doctors and nurses that tried to help many of them also died! The Kingdom of God is a sacrificial system! Your real protection comes from God! Only the immortal can save the mortal! The world much like in the Day’s of Noah mocks God! In fact Jesus said when he returns it will be much like in the Day’s of Noah! Are you going to get into the Ark of God or are you going to play the fool and try to make it on your own? The fool has said in his heart there is no God! We use science to try to help us through this pandemic because God created the sciences! However do not trust science but the God that created science! The God that created this world! The God that gave you life and has the power to take away your life! However God is not the author of death! Satan is! He wants to destroy the earth and God wants to save us! But you need to help God out by accepting his gift of life here on earth and eternal life forever reserved for you in Heaven! Peter walked on the water but only as he followed Jesus! Social Distancing!
Is that like a divorce? Our family has been practicing these techniques for generations! So the good news is other people have begun to practice what we have been doing all along! It is about time humanity has come around to our kind of behavior! We do not feel alone anymore but confirmed as doing what is right! The Lone Ranger is truly alone now! Tato and Silver are both gone now left alone to fight the Coronavirus! The one man act has come to town! Now the life of the party now is the loner! Take advantage of your new life and read, study, pray and do the things you always wanted to do but could not because of social interference! My neighbor has washed his car everyday over last 3 days! Vacuum your rug until the fibers come out! Paint the walls of your home that you no longer have an excuse to give your wife! My other neighbor has cut his lawn twice in the past two days! I have to wash my van because no excuses now! Do your income tax now and if getting refund send in now or if you owe send in on July deadline! Spend some quality time with family at home! Invest time in your family! Help a neighbor if required! Smile and laugh again! Take down your “The World is Coming to an End” sign out of your front yard! Remove your “apocalypse now” bumper sticker off your car! Act sane even if you feel crazy! Turn off the 24 hour news cycle for at least two days! The “911” operator is not a psychiatrist! Do not sleep with your pistol under your pillow! Count to ten before you pull the trigger! It could be your dog! Act calm even if your family knows better! Do not pretend to worry! Protect your family from each other by social distancing! Call your mortgage company and ask them how many days do I have after making my last payment? After finding out your life insurance policy is no good in case of a pandemic cancel them before they cancel you! Take life one day at a time! Jesus said the cares of today are sufficient! The Passover Virus!
Exodus 12:7 “And they shall take of the blood and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper doorpost of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.” Commentary: Death passed over and the plague missed my house! I took the application of this scripture and applied to my own house! I did not use the blood of sheep and goats but took red colored lipstick and applied to the front door of our house! When I applied the red color of blood I prayed let this be the blood of Christ who defeated all of our diseases! Let it be known me and my house shall serve the Lord! The red blood of Jesus reminds Satan of his defeat! Since putting our lighted Christmas Tree in front of our house I have already had opportunity to share with our neighbors that Jesus is the Light of the World! In him is no darkness! No plague! To some this may seem silly or superstitious but my protection comes not from my critics but from Christ! When people are dying all around you who cares what they say! When you put the red color on your side and top posts of your door it forms a Cross! The sacrificial blood of Christ has conquered death, hell and the grave for us! Your critics cannot raise you from the dead but Christ will! The Jews in Egypt were spared the death plague because the death angel saw the blood! Their first born were spared! There has been a decades long struggle of secularism and atheism to try to remove Christ from our culture! Now we need him but will they turn to him or choose to still reject him? We will find out soon! I have a small Cross on our front door! I remind God of who I serve and remind Satan you cannot touch me! Communion is about the Passover! The blood and the bread! The bread in Egypt was the consumed meat of the blood sacrifices of the sheep and the goats! Jesus said take of me with this bread which represents my body given in sacrifice for me! Take my blood as this wine represents my blood! Your judgment is passed over and the plague misses your household! Christ is the anti-virus! The Book of Leviticus warns us not to eat the bat and other birds of prey! The sin of one causes many to suffer but the sacrifice of Christ and his suffering has delivered us from sin! In the New Testament the Church is instructed to call for the Elders to pray for the sick and anoint them with oil! The Greek translation means to apply medicine and pray! Medicines are made from the elements of the earth and God created the earth! We were created from the elements of the earth! From the dust! You can trust the God who created you! You did not evolve! Only God makes us better! On our own without the guide of scriptures we eat bats! Obey our civil authorities! They are placed here by God! The government shall be upon his shoulders! Upon Christ! My Christmas Tree is going up today in front of my house to remind my neighbors that there is hope beyond the grave and hope in this life! The name Coronavirus and its death plague is uttered from our lips too much! Replace this word in your vocabulary with “Christ the Anti-Virus” and utter it from your lips everyday until this plague is defeated!
