This Do in Remembrance of Me! Luke 22:19

Commentary: Most people want to be remembered good or bad! We have a fear that we will never be remembered! Did you know God is the same way! That is because we are created in his image! We tend to remember the good things people have done for us and forget the bad things done to us! When you see a beautiful woman what do we as men remember? Right we are reminded that we are men! This gives us purpose just as a woman sees a man she is reminded that she is a woman! This gives us purpose! Men who try to become women and vice versa explains why their suicide rates are 5 to 6 times the rest of the population! They have lost their purpose to live! So our purpose is connected to remembering who we are! Did you know God likes to be reminded who he is! This is why we quote scriptures! Why we memorize scriptures so that when we pray we use scriptures to remind God who he is! Does God have a memory lapse? No! I like Psalm 103:3. “Who forgiveth all our iniquities and who healeth all our diseases!” My wife was in the hospital for 90 days! Everyday in prayer I reminded God and his Christ who he is! Only Christ is Able to do This for You!

Jude 1:24 “Now unto him that is able to {keep} you from falling, and to present you [faultless] before the presence of his [glory] with [exceeding joy].” Commentary: Only He is able to do this because he is not mortal man but God! Power over death and hell! Eternal with no beginning nor any end! The word ‘keep’ used in this passage of scripture means to guard you as a shepherd guards his sheep from the wolves that want to devour them! He places a hedge of protection around you and no plague shall come near you! Even though I am surrounded by coronavirus, homosexuality, lesbianism, transgenderism, prostitution, lawlessness, drugs, violence, woke culture, open borders, he protects me from this evil! Remember what David said in the Psalms? Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death i will fear no evil! David was saying even though I am surrounded by evil I will not partake of any of it! Christ will protect you from the sin plague of life! How does Christ present you faultless to the Father? He was without fault sinless to become the perfect sacrifice for your sin or faults! The Father sees you through the blood covering of his Son! What is the presence of God’s glory? It is to see Christ himself! To see him in reality of who he is not the lies men spread about him! The reality of his image and his character! Perfect, sacrificial love giving himself on a Cross for the faults of men! A Savior and only Savior to a lost and dying world! Exceeding joy is a gladness of the heart accepted of the beloved with an eternity to enjoy his presence! My eternity began 47 years ago when I accepted him as Savior! Has your eternity begun yet with Christ? The wailing and gnashing of teeth described at his second coming demonstrates the reaction of those who have rejected him! Do You Complain to God?

Too many people remind God of their problems instead of reminding their problems of the God they serve! The little shepherd boy David is a good example! Goliath the giant reminded David of his weaponry the spear, sword and defensive armor! David in faith in his God reminded Goliath of the power his God has given him to defeat him! Remind your persecutors of the power Christ has living in you to overcome all the challenges your enemies present to you giving you victory over every false charge Satan your accuser working through people makes against you! Do Translations Matter?

Jude 1:8 “Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise (dominion) and (speak evil of) (dignities).” Greek Translation: “Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise the Kingly glory of Christ and speak evil of God and his Christ and the glory of God and his Christ.” Commentary: My pastor many years ago told me this verse means we are not to speak evil of government officials! I was green behind the ears then and continued on in my spiritual growth. However when I began to do the Hebrew and Greek translations of scripture I realized their is also politics in ministry! This pastor was trying to protect his 501c tax exemption from any criticism of government from his church! Jesus called Herod a fox! We elect our politicians and are supposed to work for us! The are answerable to us! However few do today! Jude here was speaking of those who blaspheme the name of Christ and his kingdom here on earth! When our government promotes evil through enacting laws that oppose God then they need to be called out! Look your Bible can be trusted! However your English words were taken from the Hebrew and Greek languages. If we use one generic word in English to express a spiritual concept from Hebrew or Greek we could miss something! This is why I stress for you to get a Hebrew-Greek Study Bible for your own spiritual growth! When our government removes prayer and Bibles from our children in Public schools they are blaspheming God and his Christ! When they remove the Ten Commandments they are mocking God and his Christ! How Do You Know God Dwells in You?

1 John 4:15 “Whosoever shall [confess] that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he is in God.” Commentary: Well here is another sign! Does fear move into you when the thought comes to confess Jesus to your co-worker? Your friends? Your family? God has not given us a spirit of fear! Fearful of confessing Jesus to the bum in the street or the King in the Palace? Jesus took the Gospel to everyone he ever met! King Herod! The religious rulers! The maniac among the tombs! The woman caught in adultery! The woman at the well! Lazarus the dead man! The rich young ruler! His 12 disciples! His brothers! Jesus said if you are ashamed of me my Father in Heaven will be ashamed of you! If we are ashamed of him we have no relationship to him! Then we just become religious people! You will confess Christ to others or you will be ashamed of him! Over the past decades I have given out about ten Gospel tracts per day wherever I go! Most people you will only pass by once in your lifetime! I look for opportunities because I know how much Jesus loves me and loves them! I found Jesus on my death bed! He raised me from the dead for a mission on earth! I just have to share the Good News! The clerk at Walmart! At Kroger! At the gas station! The trash men picking up my trash! The office supply store! The Fed-EX guy! The county offices! The guy at Sam’s Club! The policemen! Paul shared the Gospel with the jailer in prison! Never a missed opportunity! Years going to prisons sharing Christ! To hospitals! Emergency rooms! Wherever I go! I will never forget the man working in the meat department at Walmart in Lexington Kentucky! We were just passing through! I gave him a Gospel tract and asked him to read on his break time! As I was leaving the store he came behind me and said thankyou! I was in doubt who was really God? Hinduism? Islam? Christianity? Now I understand Jesus is the true God! I never saw this man again! You know what will really be exciting about heaven? Meeting people there who you witnessed to and the people that planted Jesus into my life! Sunday school teachers! Pastors! Evangelists! The guy on the street corner confessing Christ!
