Between 1939-1945 about 175 thousand church bells were confiscated across Europe by the Socialist Nazi Germany! They were confiscated and collected at a point in Hamburg Germany known as the Glockenfriedhofe or the bell cemetery. Some 150 thousand were delivered to foundries and melted down to make shell casings and armaments. Benito Mussolini dictator of Italy part of the Axis WWII powers forged an agreement with the Pope to provide church bells for him in the war effort which most were shipped to Germany for processing. Socialism will always turn the instruments of God into instruments of war! Socialism in history as of today has about a casualty rate of about 100 million people! Now America is going to try it? Today a Protestant Reverend living in Cologne Germany recently told the German Broadcasting Service, Deutsche Welle, “the silence of the bells makes it clear something has fallen apart.” Did you know there is a Bible verse on our Liberty Bell located in Philadelphia Pennsylvania? It is Leviticus 25:10; “Proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof.” As a child growing up in Nebraska on a farm back in the 1950’s on Sunday morning I used to hear those church bells ring across the communities of Nebraska! Some would ring at nine some ten and some at eleven o’clock! Grandma! Grandma do you hear the bells? Yes Jimmy we have to get ready for Sunday school! Jimmy why do the bells ring? Time for church grandma! Yes Jimmy but there is another reason? We all have clocks so why ring a bell? Grandma because some people cannot afford a clock they are too poor! Jimmy the ringing of the bells is proclaiming liberty across America! What is liberty grandma? Jimmy it means the sacrifice God has provided for us through his Son is acceptable to God for us on the Cross for our sin! Jesus paid our price for our wrongs or sin! That is what liberty is all about Jimmy! Forgiveness for our wrongs or sins against God and man! Bells are first mentioned in your Bible in Exodus 28:31-35. Aaron the High Priest had them on his robe and as he walked in the presence of God offering the sacrifice for the sins of the people the people knew if they continued to hear the bells ring they knew the sacrifice was acceptable! If not Arron had a rope tied around his ankle where the people could drag his dead body out of the Holy of Holies if the sacrifice was not enough to atone for the sins of the people! Remember Cain and Abel? When the sacrifice of Cain was not enough he murdered Abel his brother! So I said all that to say this! What has happened to the ringing sounds of liberty across America with ringing bells proclaiming liberty for all? Why have the bells gone silent? When a culture any culture rejects the sacrifice of Christ that culture is doomed for destruction! The bells are made into bullets with violence and death throughout our major cities! Not safe to walk down the streets in America anymore! Plagues upon our land! Drought! Civil war with riots, burning and looting! Perhaps we need to hang up the church bells back up into those towers? Our American Revolution started in a church tower at Concord and the first shots were fired on the church grounds that began the Revolution! Does the church need to get revolutionary and take back America or do we let it slip away with our liberties into the abyss of Marxist Socialism stealing our liberty away and our nation? Four Toothed Monster?
These creatures only have four teeth yet about a hundred feet long! They live in a game preserve and are endangered species! They prowl around at night and sleep during the day! Their fossils are studied more by the scientific community than any other creature! Sometimes these creatures will erupt in anger with an unprovoked attack on you or just lie in an un-cognizant state not aware of their surroundings! So can you guess who these creatures are? They are an annual group photo of a large group of residence of a nursing home down here in Georgia! It is the graduating class of 2021. Since new creatures arrive everyday and old creatures leave this nursing home does a group photo every year! However their class reunion is not done here on earth! Did you know a senior home residence up in Delaware had an escape from their nursing home and are looking for him! He has taken up residency in the White House! “I am he that liveth, and was dead, and behold I am alive forevermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and death.” Commentary: These are the words of Jesus given to the Apostle John. This scripture is in red letters! John is in prison on a slave labor camp on Patmos! A stone quarry! The rock pile! Jesus has given John these revelations to his church! Jesus was telling us he was separated from God in the heart of the earth preaching to the captives between the crucifixion and his resurrection from the dead! He is alive by the quickening of his spirit by his Father! Quickened forever continuing eternally forever! Jesus says he also has the keys to hell of the departed souls separated from God! He also has the keys to death that accompanies their condition and position of separation from me! I can with my keys release you from eternal judgment but you must receive me as Savior in this life now! Jesus is whether in heaven, earth or hell his message is the same! If you will receive the revelation of his Salvation everything else will work out! Then as part of his church revelation will continue to flow to you! All things become new! Old things are passed away! His word en-powers you to do ministry in the earth to reach the lost! His purpose of your life is released in relationship to him! He will give you the power and authority to release the captives that are destined for hell and death! Then you do what Jesus did here while on earth! His purpose is released through his church! “I John, who also am your brother and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom of patience of Jesus Christ, was in the Isle of Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.” Commentary: Some think since God suffered for us we should not have to suffer for him! Let us look at some of the history of the Apostle John! This is not everything but some highlights of his life! He was the only disciple to die a natural death! He with Peter and James witnessed the Transfiguration! He was one of three witnesses that saw Jesus raise the daughter of Jairus raised from the dead! Jesus sent John and Peter into the city to make preparations for the Passover or Last Supper! He was the disciple Jesus loves as he sat next to him at the Passover meal! He and Peter followed Jesus into the Palace of the High Priest at his arrest! John alone with the women remained at the foot of the Cross at his crucifixion! John took Mary under his care after Jesus death! After Jesus resurrection and ascension John and Peter became the pillars of the church! John suffered under Roman Emperor Domitian along with many Christians! He was boiled in a pot of oil at Rome yet by a miracle survived this! The audiences at the Colosseum who witnessed this miracle converted to Christianity! Since Rome could not kill John they exiled him to the one of three remote Islands at Patmos which was a prison labor camp! There John wrote the Book of Revelation predicting things to come today and into the future! All his persecutions by Satan promoted Christ and his Kingdom! If you suffer for the right things God will promote you! We do not choose persecution it just comes as you follow Jesus! But no human can promote you like God can! Even to eternal life spent in Heaven with your Savior forever! Satan and the world system can only demote you to hell forever! Which promotion do you choose? Eternal life or eternal death? I will do it to my own cost! Did you know President Lincoln offered Robert Lee the Generalship of the Union Armies before he offered it to Grant! Lee declined not that he was for slavery but his family lived in Virginia and he would not lead the Union Armies against his own families living in Virginia! So he took the Confederacy Generalship to lead armies of the South to protect his family living in Virginia! Yes he was a family man and had no interest in perpetuating slavery! His tactics are even studied today! His wounding and death in the Civil War in 1863 was a severe setback for the Confederacy affecting not only its military prospects, but also the morale of the army and the general public! His military genius provided victories for the South and an erosion of them at his death! He was the most known General of the war next to Robert E. Lee! General Jackson was also a war hero in the Mexican-American War from 1846-1848. He was certainly the Tom Brady tactician of the NFL today! He was an Irish Protestant and was open about his faith in God! So was he on the wrong side of history? Yes but a history we must learn from and never forget so we do not repeat the mistakes! If we woke the history we will never learn from it! Every nation has good and bad history! Germany gave us Martin Luther and the great reformation then hundreds of years later gave us Adolf Hitler who rejected Christianity and embraced Darwinism! Karl Marx was also a Darwinist! His ideology has been responsible for about 100 million deaths! It is taught in our public schools both secondary and universities! Marx was quoted himself that the way you change a culture is that you must erase their history to remove all identity so that a new identity can be established! So what is the new identity he desires? Socialism or Communism based on the ideology of atheistic Darwinism! Why would we erase the ideology of the most successful nation on earth and replace it with the most destructive ideology ever carried out on earth? The most successful ideology on earth is based on Christianity! Our Constitution is crafted around it! This is a war on Christ and God to take away success and bring destruction of a nation!
