Pray for What? Who? 2 Thessalonians 3:1-3
“Finally brethren, pray for us, that the Word of the Lord may have free course (promoted), and be glorified, even as it is with you: and that we may be delivered from unreasonable men and wicked men, for all have not faith. But the Lord is faithful who shall establish you, and keep you from evil.” Commentary: Deliver us from what? Evil! Deliver from who? Evil men! Notice how this falls in line with our Lord’s prayer given to us in Matthew 6:9-13. The Apostle Paul did not say pray for us to be rich and successful? Just show me the money? Pray to be popular on social media with millions of followers! He prayed promote the Gospel! The good news! Go out into all the world to preach the Gospel! That Christ be glorified and not men! Protected from evil men who are not in faith with Christ! Trust Christ who is the only one who can establish you and keep you from evil! Has your prayer list gotten shorter now? Lord help me to win the lottery so all these wicked women will chase after me at least until the money is gone! What about the prayer Jesus gave us in the Book of Matthew? Remember God centered prayers are always about others! When you do this then God will make it about you because you become the others! It begins Our Father who art in heaven! It is about others God himself! Hallowed be thy name! What does that mean? In the Greek “Haliazo” means to withdraw from the fellowship of the world and from selfishness by first gaining fellowship with God! Thy Kingdom come! Not my will but thy will be done! Case Against Halloween!
Deuteronomy 18:10-12 Let us discuss these verses first. What is meant by passing your son or daughter through the fire? This is human sacrifice! This was the practice of the Canaanites sacrificing their children to their gods! Modern day sacrifice would be abortion! Divination is divining a sentence on someone! A charmer casts magical spells on people. A witch is basically the same thing casting spells on people. Another word for this is a whisperer. A wizard conjures up familiar spirits. Remember King Saul asking the witch of Ender about his future? She did not tell him he was going to be beheaded? King Manesseh also inquired to witches and fortune tellers! A necromancer is one who raises spirits from the dead! They do this to make predictions about the future or in their ghostly help to make something happen. Kind of like the rabbits foot? How lucky was the rabbit? This occult practice was also called Black Magic and comes from the ancient Greek word for corpse necro or prophecy mancy. In Leviticus 18:3 God warned the Jews not to participate in the ordinances or statutes, decree’s, feasts and customes of the gentiles! Today here in America the orthodox Jews do not participate in Halloween but the secular Jews do! Now to the origin of Halloween. The druids were the members of the ancient Celtic culture! The words druid and Celtic mean magic! Remember the Boston Celtics? In the ancient Celtic culture they had Priests, magicians, soothsayers and fortune tellers! They were a high ranking professional class of people from Ireland, Briton, Scotland and Wales. When Rome invaded these area’s around 60 B.C., Caesar said the Celtic groups were performing human sacrifices! Not that Caesar was the Gold Standard for morality but this is what the Roman soldiers observed. Have you ever heard of the wicker man? The Celtics built large wooden idol’s in the form of a man. On top of the wooden beams they nailed wooden slats to form the image. So the center was hollow! Halloween! Then they put the human sacrifices inside and set it on fire! The hollow of your pumpkin has a fire or candle inside of it! The druid religious culture had no written communications only oral. It was a secret society! What are the rules? Criteria for sacrifice? In the ideology of the progressives we must suffer individual liberties by open borders and defunding the police and law and order! Individual liberties for our children are sacrificed through abortion and gender confusion! Under Biden individuals who are successful outside of the State through Capitalism are targets by the State’s FBI and IRS arms of government! Christian conservatives whether the Baker in Colorado or Donald Trump and his family and closest allies are made targets with invasions of their privacy even with warrantless break in’s in the middle of the night! Putin sacrifices people for the benefit of the State! Gender confusion is an attack on the individual to protect a given group of people? Christ again never saved any group but individuals! Our Constitution protects the individual! That is why the progressives hate it so much! Socialism devalues individuals! Voter suppression is an attack on the individual! God & Satan Both Have a Plan for You! 1 Thessalonians 1:10

A plan for your education, retirement, family, life insurance, auto insurance, property insurance, will, savings, health insurance and other important things! If you get sick or when you get sick you get with your doctor and make a plan! God has a plan for you! To save you! Satan has a plan to destroy you! So who will win out? It is your choice! Many make plans but exclude God in their plans! They crowd God out of their lives! This decision opens the door to Satan! Satan will then be able to enforce his plans against you! God’s plan was for his family! The wokeness war is against family! Divorce is against family! Abortion is against family! Gender confusion is against family! Socialism is against family! Marx said we must destroy the family so their God becomes the State! Satan is all about self! It is all about me! Me Me! My! My! God’s plan is all about you! So much so he sacrificed himself for you! Satan is about sacrificing you for himself! Just the opposite! For not redemption but for destruction! So you will end up where he is hell! God wants you to end up where he is in heaven! Satan wants to lead you away from God! Pride says I can make it on my own! I do not need God! The rebellion against God in heaven was Lucifer saying I do not need you any longer! So Lucifer created hell on earth with the same weapon pride! Eve you can be just like God if you partake of this fruit! God created you for worship to him but Satan has stolen that worship to himself through lies and deceptions! Surrender your pride and in humility say God I cannot make it without your Christ! I have sinned against you and you alone! The word wrath used in this scripture means a state of mind in revenge for wrong doing! God says revenge is mine! That is why we are to forgive each other as God has forgiven us! The judgment to come is to those who have rejected the Savior! If you do not follow Christ then you will follow Satan! To accept Christ is to make peace with God and man! God raised Jesus from the dead so he could raise us from the dead! It is all about us! A sign you have come to Christ is that your life will always be about others! You will sacrifice your life for others! One of our Pastor’s we support in India died of COVID last year! They warned him not to go to those remote villages in India because you might get COVID! He said how shall I not care for them the flock Jesus has given me? Shall I not sacrifice myself for them? Now we support his son who is carrying on the work there in those remote villages in India! To sacrifice to God is to sacrifice for others! This is the work of the Kingdom of God here on earth! Tricks but No Treats!
Some children knocked on the door of the White House with their masks on and their candy bags open! Uncle Joe opened the door and told the children since my inflation reduction act has not taken effect yet there will be no candy this year! Little Johnny said that’s fricken screwed up! Sorry children if it were not for Trump, Putin, Saudi Arabia and Big Oil we would have some candy this year! Children we have to suffer now so we can benefit later! Little Sally asked him how long is later? My mommy cannot afford gas and it is freezing cold in our home! I am losing weight because we cannot afford groceries! Even our dog has left home to look for food! Children we will build back better soon just be patient! Little Danny said if mommy does not turn up the heat soon we will all be patients in the hospital! Little Joe said how come you sent the Boston Marathon Bomber 15 thousand bucks while he is in prison? Looks to me like you are full of tricks but have no treats for us! Judgment and Redemption! Revelation 18:4
“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not her plagues.” Commentary: The word people used here in the Greek is used to distinguish believers from unbelievers. The word used here is singular! Interestingly another synonym Greek word to this Greek word is demos from which we get out English word democracy. Babylon is more than just a physical place. The Jews were taken captive there for 70 years in a judgment for their rebellion against God! He did not leave them there but redeemed them back to Israel through faithful Godly people! Babylon is also a spiritual condition! Also not all physical is bad! God created the heavens and the earth! God created you and me! However his judgment and our redemption comes through our physical! A plague like COVID comes through the physical! Jesus is going to raise us from the dead through the physical! Fossil fuel is physical but not bad! Gender is physical and it is not bad for it is a gift from God! However to pervert gender or anything physical given to us from God is a sin against God! Sin is really missing the true purpose of God has intended for our life here on earth! Child birth is a wonderful gift from God so why abort it? Plagues only come as an act and rebellion against God! Jesus in Matthew Chapter 24 said plagues or pestilences would come as a sign of his second coming! Plague and the word plagues are mentioned hundreds of times in your Bible! The word Babylon is mentioned in over 300 scriptures in your Bible! The word Babylon means confusion! Remember the Tower of Babel? Are we today living in America which is becoming a land of confusion? Confusion over gender? Our sovereignty? Borders? Education? Politics? Lawlessness? Evil promoted over good? Children sacrificed on the altar of abortion? The list goes on and on? How did we get here? The abandonment of the Holy Scriptures! Confusion in the church? Gay flags hung from their flag poles? Gender confusion! Energy confusion! Politicians and clergy say just send me your money and everything will be alright! Keep buying my books! I will bank my millions and the hell with you! My Bible has alot of good news but means nothing without bad news! Jesus is saying have no fellowship with darkness! Separate from the evil of this culture! If your church has become corrupt then leave it! About 400 years ago the Catholic Church became so corrupt it took the Reformation to right the ship! Does the Protestant Church today in America need a reformation? Remember Noah, Lot in Sodom and Jonah? Resist the Devil and he will flee from you! Share in his sin and you will share in his judgment! Without Christ you will look for light at the end of the tunnel but it will be a train! Jesus is the light of the world! Satan disguises himself as an angel of light but is the author of darkness! Electricity gives light and heat and air conditioning! Fossil fuels give light to produce electricity! The Green New Deal will turn off your lights and bring poverty to the world and America! Light means nothing without darkness! How much does America have to suffer in darkness before it comes to the light?
