Keep! Ask! Please!

1 John 3:22 “And whatsoever we [ask], we receive of him, because we keep his [commandments], and do those things that are [pleasing] in his sight.” Commentary: Let us look at the bracketed words in the Greek. The first word “ask”, is a unique word. It means making a request based on equal footing with the giver that is what he has is also mine! Jesus said I go to prepare a place for you in heaven! What he has is already mine! This is the covenant! Jesus died on a Cross over two thousand years ago yet all those born before him or after him can have what he has! Redemption! Eternal life! Blessings! Ask and it shall be given you pressed down and overflowing! The promises of God are already given to us we cannot earn them just have the faith or trust in God to receive them! In the natural we ask something from someone because we do not have what they possess! You already have the possessions of God you need to activate them through faith! Without faith it is impossible to please God! Sometimes we ask amiss! We ask for things we already have! The second word “keep” means to help and watch over guard and preserve! This is what we should be doing with the Word of God! When popular culture says homosexuality is good we lift up a standard against the lies of Satan with the scriptures! The third word “commandments”, means a lawful order issued by the Commander! If you have been in the military you will better understand this word! The Commander sets all priorities! While in the military the Commander of our military unit called me to his office one day! What now? Am I in trouble? He told me I was to only worry about what he worries about! Dismiss any other worries! My only concern should be his concern! Then we will be on the same page and you will be a good soldier! Your ten worries are as follows! First you! Then the list went on and by the time he was done I came out of his office a new man! We are to be concerned with Jesus Commandments! Love your enemies! Treat other people as you want to be treated! Love your neighbor! Forgive as you have been forgiven! Who is your commander? God? Satan? Self? Our final word is “pleasing”. To please God means to be in agreement with God’s Word! We ask in accordance with it, we keep it guarded and preserved, follow the orders of our Commander, and please God by being in agreement with his Word! President George Washington Commentary: This is the way a dictator comes to power in any democracy whether as with Hitler or any Marxist State! The Constitutional system is overthrown and since the system no longer exists then a dictator rules for the options to legitimately elected government by the people no longer exists! Be Yourself!

Do not be afraid of being unique! It is like being afraid of your best self! Donald Trump Commentary: He is so right! Identity politics has destroyed more lives than you can count! Identity politics is about being someone else rather than being yourself! If you are male you should be female! Transgenders! If you are a man stay away from women! Homosexuals! If you are white you should have been black! If you are straight haired you should have had curls! If you are a woman you should have been a man! The whole culture runs around trying to be somebody else rather than developing who they are! This is all about an attack on creation and the God who made us! These are Darwinists attacking God and his creation! It is slapping God in the face and saying I do not like me and how you created me! I reject my gender, race and my God! Identify with the God who made you! He will bring the best out of you because no one knows you better than your designer! We were created in the Image of God! Identity politics tries to erase this Image! You are unique because God made you unique! Your best is his best! He will bring out the best in you but remember not everyone will accept you at your best! If God does the rest do not matter! This is the Spirit of America and what has made her great! I Will Be Home For Christmas?

I was shopping in a store today and heard this old Christmas Song! It was really nice to hear then something struck me kind of funny! With the pandemic going on for past months almost everyone is home! Kids from school, workers locked down from their jobs! Only exception would be the military! So we need a new song that says I will be away from home for Christmas! A travelers dream song! Away from home with all the craziness of the lock down! Perhaps in 2021 we can all get away from home for a change? So your new year’s resolution is you would like to just get in a car, plane, ship, train or bus and just freely travel! Perhaps with the new vaccine this will come to pass and we will all be let out of jail with a free pass! Santa’s workshop is also locked down so just tell your kids that Santa will deliver their presents next year! Merry Christmas!

Heart Trouble?

1 John 3:20 “For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.” Commentary: An interesting fact about our English language is that every word is borrowed from another language! Could be Latin, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Italian, Spanish or a host of other languages! When we look at the New Testament our English words are translated from the Greek language! This is why a Greek-Hebrew Study Bible will expand your understanding of his Word! The word “heart” in the Greek is an all encompassing word! It means the inner man! This is inclusive of the thoughts, reasonings, understanding, will, judgment, designs, affections, love, hatred, fears, joy, sorrow, anger, intentions, motives and desires! Our heart is a storage unit of what transpires in our minds! So all of us most likely have heart trouble requiring medicine on a regular basis! Call on the Great Physician! Our thoughts and emotions affect our blood pressure! Our heart is a receptor of our thoughts! Remember Pharaoh had a hardening of his heart? Our heart will condemn us if are thoughts are wicked or criminal worthy of blame and are justly charged as madness! Satan is a cunning devil! He plants an evil thought into the minds of men then he turns around and blames or condemns men for carrying out the thought! This is how he gets his victims! He promotes ideologies that oppose the Word of God! He baits your trap with sin and temptations like a piece of cheese in the trap and then you take the bait! In the Garden of Eden it was just one fruit! God gave Adam and Eve all the fruit in the garden from every tree except one tree! What would you have done? If Satan had whispered in your ear God is a liar and he wants to with hold something good from you what would you have done? My parents want me home by 10PM they must want to destroy your fun? Now the good news is God is greater than our hearts! There is no sin in him! His thoughts are only good towards us! In fact God is so good he took your wicked thoughts and actions unto himself and took the punishment and judgment of death upon himself on a Cross of execution! He went to the gallows in your place! He took your plagues and pandemics caused by sin upon himself! He paid the penalty of the lies of the devil that you believed to be true! He took your evil ideologies whether political or religious upon himself to pave the road to forgiveness for your life! He Christ defeated Satan and the sin that so easily besets us! Since God is greater than our sin we can trust him with our sin! The accuser of the brethren has lost his power of condemnation over us! Those Darwinist that believe there is no God have no remedy for their sin! Unforgiven sin brings anger and eventually violence towards their fellow man! No repentance no redemption! God has given us a way of escape from ourselves yet men so foolish to carry their own burdens! Burdens are lifted at Calvary so the old hymn goes!
