1 John 3:7 “My little children (students of the word), let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he (Christ), is righteous.” Commentary: During those years living in India I had a friend there who had a parrot. He inherited this parrot from his uncle who passed on. His uncle was a police chief of a village in India. His uncle kept the parrot at his police station for many years! So when he received his uncle’s parrot he had no idea of the background of this parrot? The parrot was nice and quiet as long as he was by himself with his new owner! Never said a word and as far as my friend was concerned was a model parrot with no bad habits! However when guests would come over things went bad very quickly! This parrot could also understand the gender differences between his guests! If was a male guest the parrot would begin his charade saying things like, “Ha! Ha! You poisoned your wife! You did it! Confess you bastard! You stole the jewelry! You thief! We got you! Ha! Ha! Ha! You criminal! If it were a lady guest the parrot would change his tune! You prostitute! You killed him! Black mailed him for money! You old bitch! Ha! Ha! Ha! We caught you! Confess or stay in prison! My friend quickly learned when he had guests he had to move the parrot to the back room in his house and close the door on this bird! The truth is we are all copy cats! We have copy right laws! We will copy someone! Either God of the Devil! Who we follow will determine our outcome in life! Good or bad! No man can keep the standards set by God! Only God can keep his own standards! So why try? We are created in the image of God! In his likeness! We are to be like him but we cannot do it on our own! Performance based religion will always fall short and fail! Our faith in God is based on the performance of God and his sacrifice for us on the Cross! It is what God has done for us not for what we do for God that saves us from ourselves! Our relationship to God is what saves us! Forgiven! The heathen say my right is my duty! Christianity says my duty is my right! Religion puts the cart before the horse! The cart becomes the horse! They pull god around in their carts making themselves God! We are only justified by faith in God! When we make God in our own image we become idol worshippers! Our faith is simply based on the works and promises of God! God has a standard no mortal can keep! Only God on the Cross could meet that standard for you! A wicked person rejects the standard of God and tries to meet the standard on his own merit! His own works! A righteous person submits to the judgment of God! The judgment of God delivers the righteous from their sin because that judgment was transferred to his Son on the Cross for us! This is the effectiveness of repentance! To be righteous is to submit to the righteousness of God! To conform to the laws of God as law breakers is to let Christ pay for your unrighteousness or law breaker by accepting the judgment Christ took for you on the Cross! To reject him is to reject righteousness! God’s righteousness is a gift to men and is not earned! We are justified by faith! Our own works oppose the righteousness of God! No mortal can keep the law! Jesus kept the law who never broke the law by going to the Cross for you the lawless one! Our righteousness outside of Christ will never satisfy God! The indwelling Holy Spirit does not come to you until you simply accept what God has already done for you! Confession of your sin and the confession of Christ as your Lord! Self-righteous people will always end up persecuting the church! The Apostle Paul was the best example! Rights Come From?
Our rights come from God not government! However the purpose of government is to enforce those rights! Right to peacefully assemble! Martin Luther King Jr. never demonstrated at night! Right to worship! Right to vote! Freedom of speech and to bare arms! Right to be protected by the Laws of God through our Judicial system of law enforcement! Our Constitution is designed to enforce and protect our freedoms given to us by God! God created us with inalienable rights! We are not aliens but citizens of the United States of America with these guaranteed by our Constitution! Politics should never be about taking rights away but ensuring our Constitutional rights remain and are enforced!! This is why any court vacancies unfilled deny our rights under the law! We lose our rights when we violate the very laws that guarantee our protection! When we violate the Laws of God designed to protect us! We have the right to protect the unborn! Laws are designed to protect life and to preserve life from the womb to the grave! When we break laws in the name of Justice we contradict the very God who has given us the rights to live in freedom and justice for all under the Law! Lawlessness strips away freedom for all men! War follows! Law and Order are our only precepts for a civil society otherwise marked and destroyed by anarchy! We are where we are today because people have rejected the God who has given us these rights! Rights taken into our own hands will lead any culture into destruction! Our rights come from God but to reject him is to lose all your rights and to create a Kingdom opposed to Law and Order! A place where fear rules the day! Gangs and thugs control the streets! Unsafe to go out with your family! Bullets flying everywhere! Those cities and states that have lived under Democrat control are living under this nightmare reality! Elections matter! This is not about promises but what these political leaders have done to their communities while they have been in power! Life or death? If you want positive change you must support those who have a track record of making life better for you and your family! Reject those that want to destroy America! Forgiven or Unforgiven? 1 John 3:6
“Whosoever [abideth] in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.” Commentary: Let us look at the word “abideth.” It means to remain in Christ! To be steadfast waiting with great expectation with patience towards circumstances and people. Jesus is the anchor to our soul! You hold fast to your faith throughout all circumstances! You trust God not men! So what scriptures come to your mind outside of this scripture? There is another scripture that says all have sinned and come short of the glory of God! How about where it says if any man say he is not a sinner he is a liar! All these scriptures are true so how do they reconcile to 1 John 3:6? Remember sin means to transgress the law! We have all broken the law except Christ! He came to fulfill the law even death on a Cross! When you abide in Christ you are abiding in his salvation! He took your judgment for your sin! When the Father sees you through the blood of Christ you are as if you had never sinned just like your Christ! The miracle of Christ in him you are a sinless sinner! There are only two kinds of people in the earth. Forgiven sinners and unforgiven sinners! Forgiven sinners in heaven and unforgiven sinners in hell. Those separated from Christ do not abide in him! Why is it some people reject the gift of eternal life with Christ? They would rather be in charge of their own hell than to submit to the authority of God and the heaven he has waiting for them! They have to keep their sin and abandon their redemption! Some would rather be in charge of hell than to be a servant in heaven! This is the same problem Lucifer or Satan had! Rebellion against God brings destruction in the earth! Riots, Burning! Looting! Murder! As long as I remain in charge does not matter how many people I sacrifice!
