War on Christmas!

1 John 4:3 “And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this that spirit of anti-Christ, whereof you have heard that it shall come, and even now already it is in the world.” Commentary: The war on Christmas is the war on Christ! You cannot have Christ without the anti-Christ! You cannot have the anti-Christ without Christ! They go together like eggs and bacon! You cannot have one without the other! But you cannot have it both ways! We are going to look at two of the Greek words used in this Bible verse. The first word is ‘confesseth’. This word means to publicly and privately proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord! Like public manger scenes in front of court houses, town squares, store fronts, malls, private yards, in front of churches, public buildings, decorations, Christmas tree’s and the list goes on! The war on Christmas is on all these things! Court cases by the thousands to limit our confession of Christ! War on free speech rights! In life we have peace and war going on at the same time! The enemy can attack us from without but never take the Christ of Christmas away from us within! Any election can either promote or demote the principalities and powers of darkness! Did you know God calls us his elect! We chose him! However he chose us first! Worship him! Honor him! Serve him! Follow him! Glorify him! Sacrifice for him! Persecuted for him! Our next word is ‘anti-Christ.’ All of us fulfill the will of God in our lives by our choices! The anti-Christ fulfills the will of God in himself by seeking to establish his own throne! The Bible refers to him as the man of sin! The son of perdition and the wicked one! Who is on your throne! Christ came that none would perish yet the perishing choose to put themselves on the throne! Their are many ideologies that put you on your own throne! Darwinism, socialism, communism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, atheism, religions of this world, Marxism, self-worship and the list goes on all denying Christ came in the flesh to save us all from sin! We have to work to keep Christ in Christmas! Happy Holidays? No! Merry Christmas! Political correctness is about removing Christ by removing his name from American culture! Removing the names of great Christian’s like Abraham Lincoln! George Washington! John Adams! The cancel culture is all about going after Christians past or present who are associated with the name above all names Jesus Christ! This war will not end at Christmas but when Christ returns to earth at his second coming to put down every foe! Let Jesus wrap you in his gifts this Christmas with love, peace, joy, hope, patience, long suffering, power, redemption, reconciliation, forgiveness and eternal life! Merry Christmas! Christmas without Christ?

They say of us we are an Anti-Christian movement. They even say I am an outspoken paganist…. I solemnly declare here, before the German public, that I stand on the basis of Christianity, but I declare just as solemnly that I will put down every attempt to introduce confessionalism matters into our Hitler youth! No Bibles to our military! No teaching of Creation to our public education children only the Godless Evolution is allowed! We cannot train up children with a conscious of right and wrong! Then they would not obey us when we ask them to do immoral acts! There is no such thing as sin! Abortion will cure immorality! You can marry your dog if you want to! God did not create gender! Just to prove my point I will be the opposite sex of what God has given me! Marriage is not between a man and a woman! Just to prove it I will create laws that oppose God! When we study history we see the same rebellion against God expressed in every generation with devastating results! Socialism, communism, fascism, Nazism are ideologies developed by man to oppose the Kingdom of God! The current opposition to Christ is an ideology represented by the political progressive left here in America! I Will Be Home For Christmas?

I was shopping in a store today and heard this old Christmas Song! It was really nice to hear then something struck me kind of funny! With the pandemic going on for past months almost everyone is home! Kids from school, workers locked down from their jobs! Only exception would be the military! So we need a new song that says I will be away from home for Christmas! A travelers dream song! Away from home with all the craziness of the lock down! Perhaps in 2021 we can all get away from home for a change? So your new year’s resolution is you would like to just get in a car, plane, ship, train or bus and just freely travel! Perhaps with the new vaccine this will come to pass and we will all be let out of jail with a free pass! Santa’s workshop is also locked down so just tell your kids that Santa will deliver their presents next year! Merry Christmas!

Light the Christmas Tree!

American’s are putting up their Christmas lights to remind us that the Light of Christ dispels the darkness of sin and disease including the Coronavirus! The Book of Leviticus instructs us about the Dietary Laws God has given us! Laws such as not eating animals that prey on other animals such as the bat! Christmas & Grace!

Luke 1:28  Greek Translation: “And the angel came unto her and said Hail, you are the direct result of God’s grace! You cannot do on your own what I am about to do for you! Thou art highly favored! Favored by the whole favor of God’s grace! The Lord is with you: blessed are you among women for I have spoken well of you and will follow with my actions for you.” Comment: All three of the Greek translated words in this passage Hail, Highly Favored and Blessed are all related to the Greek word for Grace! Grace is simply God doing for you what you cannot do for yourself! So Mary was not able to earn this blessing by works! She was not better than the rest of the women! In my own life after coming to Christ I could not do on my own what God has done for me! I could not have saved myself! Works is trying to save yourself! The blind Jews mocked Jesus on the Cross and said he saved others let him save himself! What they did not understand was by going to the Cross Jesus was saving them! By faith you are saved and not of yourselves! We must surrender all our will to God! Jesus before the Cross prayed not my will but thy will be done! Jesus had a will just like us! Our surrender of our will to God means a victory for us and others not achievable in our own will! I can do certain things based upon my own ability yet I cannot raise myself from the dead! I cannot save myself! I am not able to forgive my own sins! I am able to forgive others if I understand God has forgiven me! Mary by faith received what she could never achieve by her good works! Favor with God is what Christmas is all about! The Savior born for you and me! Born and died to save us from ourselves! To save us from sin! Raised from the dead to raise us from the dead!
