“Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.” Commentary: Our Bible promotes capitalism! That is those that work preaching the gospel should be supported by the gospel! God owns it all! That is he does not steal from someone else to give to you! That would be like playing the lottery! In socialism you steal what is not yours and give to someone else and also keep a large portion for yourself! The lottery owners keep half the proceeds for themselves! Robin Hood was a thief! To steal from the rich is still theft! Do you not think Robin kept some for himself? When any government takes from those that work and gives it to those that do not work it is theft! When they take from the citizens and give to illegals that is theft! We in the church benefit from the Gospel so we support those that preach the gospel! The word “ordained” used in this scripture means to command or order! It is a military term! The tithe and offering belongs to God! It is not ours even though it is a result of work! However God has blessed us so we can work! If we keep the tithe and offering to ourselves then we steal from God! This is worse than Robin Hood! Judas tried to steal from God! The tithe and offerings go first to your local church and then offerings to other ministries! Does God need our money? No he owns it all! You here on earth are a steward of what he has given you! My experience has been when we trust God with ten percent of our income then he will bless the 90 percent above what we could ever achieve on our own! To withhold the 10 percent from God is a theft! It is a curse! To give the 10 percent is a blessing we cannot contain! God says trust me and try me with your tithes and offerings and see if I will not pour out a blessing on you! Socialism is to steal even from God but capitalism is giving 10 percent or investing in God with a return we cannot even contain! Take your talent God has given you and not bury it in the ground but invest it in the Kingdom of God with a manifold blessing of return on your investment! He who wins souls is wise!
