He was not a 501c guy! Today some in the church say as long as you give us a cut you can worship your money! Jesus said the love of money is the root of all evil! Judas was in the church! Isaiah did not look the other way when it came to sin! The bat and the Coronavirus is consuming the wealth of the nations! The Bible says do not consume birds of prey including the bat! Interesting these scriptures were written thousands of years ago yet apply today! Truth transcends all generations! The Ebola virus was from the bat! Birds of prey eat dead animals and pass disease to the humans who consume them! Ever heard of the Swine flu? The Spanish flu all from diseased hogs! Your Bible says not to consume pork! Some in the church over the years have shrugged it off telling me that is just Old Testament? II Kings 23:35 “King Jehoiakim of Judah gave the silver and the gold to King Pharaoh of Egypt, he taxed the land to give money according to the command of King Pharaoh of Egypt, he extracted the silver and the gold from the people of the land, from everyone according to his tax plan, to give to King Pharaoh Necho.” Commentary: The first Democrats were around long before America came on the scene! They tax what God has freely given us! I would not be surprised if they were in the Garden of Eden taxing the fruit God freely gave them! They want to do an abortion on your wealth! Kill it before it can benefit you! If they could not spend your money they would not bother with you! Poverty in America has everything to do with the Democrat Party! Tax and spend! They love to spend your money! They love to borrow your money for generations to come and spend it for your kids and grandkids! Spread the poverty around! Jesus said render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s and unto God what is his! God has given us everything so the tithe was designated as a sign to us that God has ownership over us! Ten percent is a reminder to us that we are under his authority! Jesus did not say what amount is right to support our government! If ten percent is good enough for God then should our government require more? Who we place in political office has consequences both good and bad! The socialist State wants to take all private property away from you! This is the real reason to abolish police departments so that property rights cannot be enforced by law! I Corinthians 2:12 “Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God, that we might know the things that are “freely given” to us of God.” Commentary: The words “freely given” is translated as a gift! It is grace to be kindly treated with favor! The spirit of the world always says you have to earn it! It is all by my own efforts! Get what you can out of people and move on! Trash the reputation of others to promote yourself! The spirit of the world is an evil spirit! Use people to get ahead! I will not be a sacrifice for their benefit but sacrifice them for my benefit! The Spirit of God placed gifts within you at birth! The problem comes when we take credit for our God given gifts! Pride drives the spirit of the world! I did it! The Spirit of God was in the Garden of Eden but so was the spirit of the world! Adam and Eve you are wiser than God! Take and eat of this fruit and you will be wiser than God! God is holding back from you and cheating you! God has not said you will surely die if you eat of this tree? God is a liar! Satan as always is looking for an opportunity to persecute Christ and his followers! Which spirit lives in you? The Holy Spirit or the spirit of the world? The Apostle Paul said i know nothing else but Christ crucified! Do you look at Christ as your Savior or do you try to put him up on the Cross again? Do you praise him with your breath or curse him? Are you like Judas playing a religious game while betraying him? At the ascension of Jesus to heaven he promised his disciples he would send his Holy Spirit to them! To secure his promises to them until his second coming! If you look outside yourself to Christ then he will send his Holy Spirit to dwell inside you! The Comforter! The Holy Spirit is made available to you because God made a blood sacrifice of himself for you on a Cross! For you sin! Then the Gift of the Holy Spirit is available after your repentance to God for your sin and accepting the blood sacrifice of Christ! What are some of the benefits of the Holy Spirit living in you? Love, peace, joy, patience, long suffering, prophecy and the list goes on! Jesus said you receive not because you ask not! Ask Jesus to send his Holy Spirit to you! You will find a new way of living in him! Not leaning on your own understanding but acknowledging him in all your ways! Jesus said he would never leave you nor forsake you! I Corinthians 2:2 “For I am determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.” Commentary: The English word “determined” used by the Apostle Paul here has a Greek root word. Sometimes in translation work trading off one language word for a English word can be challenging! One example is the word love used in the New Testament. There are four different Greek words for love so the question is which love are they speaking about? This is why I promote a Hebrew-Greek Study Bible for those that are serious about studying the Bible! Back to the word determined. The Greek translation says determined is the act of judging to come to a decision! It is the act of preferring one over another! I prefer my wife over every other woman! I prefer my Christ over every other god! I prefer America over every other nation on earth! After someone murders seven people we hear the world say we should not judge? The police and the prosecutors have to make a judgment! The jury has to make a judgment! The judge has to make a judgment based on the judgment of the jury! God’s judgment is perfect because he knows all the facts! Young people are tearing down America but not based on facts! They have been lied to in their schools by liberals teaching in education that America is no good! Jesus has been given authority by the Father to judge all the living and the dead! His judgment will be based upon what judgment you have made about him! Jesus took your judgment for sin upon a Cross and paid the penalty of death for your wickedness! However if you reject his judgment for you then you are judged by him for your own sin separated from God forever! Some are judged into everlasting life and some into everlasting hell! This is why Paul is so wise after he discovered the truth that to only know Christ and him crucified! His higher education could not save him but only Christ!
