Commentary: So who was Antipas? His name is only mentioned here in your Bible! Some historians say he was Bishop of Pergamos where also was the seat of Satan! Jesus calls him his “Faithful Witness!” How did he die? He was roasted in a brass bull idol full size replica! They built a fire under the brass belly of the bull and threw him in! He is in the Hall of Fame of Christian Saints who would not deny their faith in Christ! Read Luke 9:23-24 and be reminded Antipas did not forget the scriptures but lived them out!
