1 Corinthians 10:33 “Even as I [please] all men in all things, not seeking my own [profit] but profit of many, that they may be [saved].” Commentary: The word [please] used here means to properly behave towards one who is in relationship to God and man. We are all related to each other all the way back to Adam and Eve! We are brothers and sisters in Christ! The Blood of one God saves us all. The covenant includes a family! The next word [profit] means to bring us together with the benefit of another! Profit requires people in relation to each other! Jesus said what profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his soul? A corporation working together or a family or church working together nets a profit! When a government working with the people brings a great benefit! Notice how Satan always tries to break up families, organizations, churches, marriages and nations! Break up through telling lies about God and people! Then only poverty is left! Profit can be good or evil! Jesus said the love of money is the root of all evil! Our last word is [saved]. Delivered from death and suffering! It is a permanent eternal state granted immediately to those who trust in Christ! To preserve us from judgment!
