One Name Above All Names! Revelation 2:26

“And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations.” Commentary: Christ who came to die will come again to reign! We who are united with Christ today will reign with him tomorrow! We can never rest unless we work! A good work here on earth yet a nobler work to be done in heaven! He gives us authority because of his conquering rule! Might is not right but right is might! We are so identified with him that he shares his possessions with us! The bride is endowed with the wealth of the bridegroom! Our crowns are because of his Cross! He is the morning star because of his royal dominion! The Saints share in the judgment of the nations with Christ! The Arabic Bible version reads; “and keepeth my words and my works.” Our doctrine and works need to agree! He has power over Gentiles and their pagan worship rescuing them from the deceptions of Satan! The Gospel is the power of God weakening the Kingdom of Satan! What is our Christian vocation? One God!

1 Corinthians 2:5 Commentary: We will look at the Greek word “Theos” used here. This is where we get our word theology! The study of God! There are other Greek words used in the New Testament for God but will just look at Theos used here. This word was used by the early Greeks to define their gods but was adapted to the New Testament. The early Greeks like many cultures thought there was a god for each character of God! Like the idol worshipers of Hinduism and the Egyptian culture. Idol worship comes about by believing each character of God is expressed by a separate god! Atheism is also idol worship because you make yourself God! You replace God in your unbelief! The Jews believed there is only one God with different manifestations of his character! Examples would be love, joy, peace, anger, judgment and redemption! We as humans love and hate from the same person! The problem with idol worship is we imagine or make God out of our own image rather than accepting that God has created us in his own image! The roles are reversed! You decide to make millions of gods representative of every character of creation! Of birds, animals and every creation of God! Confusion! You end up trying to make God! The Jews faced the same problem when it came to the law! First the 10 Commandments and then making laws on top of them to cover hundreds of laws! How funny when i hear politicians get caught breaking a law and then telling us we will make a new law so this never happens again? Then the cycle repeats over and over again! This is the plight of men! The lawless judge the law breakers! If we could do over the Garden of Eden we would do the same thing they did and listen to the voice of rebellion! Sin against God! Only God can fix his creation! He had to sacrifice himself on a Cross to pay the penalty for our rebellion against him! Stop trying to make God and just receive his love and forgiveness executed just for you! Then his character of forgiveness for you can be applied to people who have hurt you along the way! Apply his sacrificial blood to your sin and then receive his Holy Spirit indwelling to keep you until the day of your redemption! Jesus boiled the law down into two acts! Love God and love your neighbor! This is the love from God that overcomes the world! God loves you and has given you life to experience him and be with him forever! One Sacrifice! Two Kingdoms!

Matthew 9:13 “But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”  Commentary: What did Jesus mean here? What were the disciples going to have to learn? Would Jesus have to send them to school? They were just a bunch of regular guys! For three years Jesus was trying to prepare them for what was to come! These guys were not in the top of their class! Peter knew how to use a knife! Matthew was a tax cheat! The Sons of Thunder could start a bar brawl at the drop of a hat! Thomas even doubted God! These men were not graduate level material! Could Jesus teach old dogs new tricks? They were not going to learn their lesson until after the Cross! Experience is sometimes our best teacher! Jesus was telling them and us that all of humanity was going to redeemed not by the sacrifices of these men and women but the sacrifice of God himself was the mercy we were going to receive! The sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross was the only mercy that would last forever! We have two Kingdoms in this world and the world to come! God’s Kingdom where he sacrificed himself for your gain and Satan who will try to sacrifice you for his gain! During our election cycle of 2020 be alert for the deception of words where a candidate is trying to convince you he is for you when really he is for himself! You have to read between the lines and perceive deception! Both Kingdoms are a sacrificial system yet one to sacrifice himself for you and the other to sacrifice you for his or her benefit! The church is no different! Follow those who sacrifice themselves for others not those that sacrifice others for their gain! A family is about sacrificing yourself for others! One Garden Two Tree’s! Genesis 3:22

” And the Lord God said, Behold, the man made in my image is become as one of us, to know good and evil, and now, lest he put forth his hand and take forth of the Tree of Life, and eat, and live forever.” Comment: So what is this all about? In the following verses Adam and Eve are kicked out of the Garden of Eden and the angels protect the Tree of Life where they cannot approach this tree! Man sinned against God to gain the knowledge of evil! He did evil to gain evil! The penalty of sin is death! Adam and Eve had not received the penalty yet so God had to guard the Tree of Life until Christ had paid the penalty of their sin on the Cross! Eternal life is a destiny spent in one of two places! Heaven or Hell! God had to protect Adam and Eve from themselves! No repentance is accepted by God outside of the Cross! The Anti-Christ and his followers will never confess they are sinners! Muslims do not believe they are sinners! A Hindu makes God into his own image and changes the image millions of times in his mind to accommodate his new sin! They make God! Remember after the Cross where did Jesus go for three days? He went into the heart of the earth and preached to the captives! This included all people from Adam and Eve to all who had lived up unto the Cross and included the Thief of the Cross! Now after the Cross Adam and Eve could partake of the Tree of Life! After the Cross the Tree of Life is open to all! To avoid the Tree of Life and try to live on the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil is sin against God! The knowledge of evil that you have was acquired through sin! The goodness of God is acquired through Jesus Christ and the sacrifice of death for your sin! One World Government! Daniel 2:44

What is one of the most recent signs here in America of the coming one world government? The case is before the Supreme Court right now! The fight over the question asked in our 2020 census! We have a census every 10 years! The battle is the political left does not want the most important question on the census asked? Are you a United States citizen? The number of citizens in each State is used for many important purposes determined by our government! The value of each electorate college numbers allotted to each State is determined by the number of legal U.S. citizens! If the Democrats can get all illegal immigrants counted as citizens they can hold on to political power! Remember Trump beat Hillary in the rust belt States only by one hundred thousand votes! The Democratic Party has become the Anti-American Party! The one world Anti-Christ government leader is on the horizon! The promotions of sanctuary cities, open borders, gay rights is all about preparations for the one world order soon set up after the Rapture of the Church! What are you promoting? Christ or the Anti-Christ? One day after the Rapture of the Church every citizen of every nation will get the chance to vote the Anti-Christ into power along with the False Prophet! Demon’s Believe in One God! James 2:19

WOW! They believe in one God yet they are not saved! Atheists do not believe there is a God yet the demons do! Could I believe in one God yet not be saved? The demons tremble at the mention of God! Do they give God more respect than most people? So what is missing from their belief? They rebelled against God and got cast out of Heaven! Faith is the key element missing from their belief! Without faith it is impossible to please God! Faith is really trusting God! Some Christian’s say I believe in God yet I do not believe in giving tithes and offerings to support my local church? Faith without works is dead! Demon’s have power to do miracles but not for good works but for evil! (Revelation 16:14) I will quote a partial commentary on James 2:19 from the Matthew Henry Commentary: “Faith is the root, good works are the fruits; and we must see that we have both. This is the Grace of God wherein we stand, and we shall stand to it. There is no middle state. Everyone must live God’s friend, or God’s enemy. Living to God, as is the consequence of faith, which justifies and saves obliges us to do nothing against him, but everything for him and to him.” Comment: Jesus went to the Cross for his Father for he did everything for him and to him! We are the recipients of his love! Our redemption is based on our trusting what Jesus has done for us! Not in our own works but the works of God! Works for good not evil. Our works are only good if God lives in us! This is the work of the Holy Spirit! We oppose evil because God opposes evil! We love the good because God is good! When anyone uses the power of God for evil and perverts the love of God for wickedness Satan takes residency in their lives! Only One Foundation Will Stand Forever!

What the world calls virtue is a name and dream without Christ! The foundation of all human excellence must be laid deep in the blood of the Redeemer’s Cross and in the power of his Resurrection! Pastor Frederick Robinson (1816-1853), English Pastor  Comment: What are the names and dreams of men that lay in the dust of history? The list is great! Kingdoms that rise and fall! Hundreds of millions laid in the dust promoting the political and religious systems of this world! There is a grave for every ideology that opposes Christ! They put Christ in the grave and thought like everyone else that lived would evaporate into history! However Christ made history never to be achieved by any living mortal! Hope beyond the grave is realized to all who trust him! A forgiven mortal is good but a resurrected Saint is power! Power to live a life of Holiness not otherwise possible to mortal men! Power to live unselfishly and to love people with the love of God! No more taking but giving! No more to be served but to serve! Born again to live again for Christ! Do you have a sure foundation?
