Sin is internal! It is built into us all! The religious leaders had it, government leaders have it, the man on the street has the same problem! It is hard to legislate it away when everyone has the same problem! It is easy to legislate laws to endorse it! It is easy to just stay in the swamp and get used to it! It is easy to go with the flow as you flush yourself down the toilet! There is a spirit living within all men that opposes the spirit of God! It works overtime to head us down the wrong road! Jesus among other things had a full time job casting demons out of people! What is your name? Legion for we are many! Cast us out into those pigs where we will feel comfortable and welcome! Yet the demons killed the pigs! The pigs even saw how nasty they were! They jumped over the cliff to try to get away from them! Demons tremble at the name of Jesus! They recognize his power and authority! Demons believe in his name! But do you? If not then the demons will have authority over you! They will control you with their evil! They living in you will resist the Savior! They can only control you and destroy you if you resist the Savior who has defeated them on your behalf! Can a fool reject a free pass to heaven staying out of hell? Yes! Fools do it every day! Satan loves company! He wants to share his judgment and hell fires with you! God loves you and wants you free from guilt and condemnation! Jesus paid the price to purchase your freedom from sin! He is heart medicine that cures an evil heart! Freedom to even love your enemies!
