When you ask Spanish speaking people here in America who have come from South America, Central America, Mexico, Southwest part of America or the Caribbean Islands most do not know why they speak Spanish? Some say I was born that way! History shows us that Christopher Columbus over 500 years ago discovered North and South America and evangelized for Catholics to these areas and planted the Spanish language for a unified one language people across the Americas! His trip for Spain brought evangelism to these people groups 100 years ahead of the Protestants explaining why these nations are Catholic in their faith! Columbus used the scriptures for his guide to sail west for by the then maps there was a Continent missing according to scriptures! So why tear down his statues here in America? Could it be the rejection of the God of our scriptures and the Creator of all things? Yes! The assault on American values founded on our scriptures continue as the political left wars even against God himself and His Christ! Moses and the elders wanted King Pharoah to release all the 2 million Jews to go out into the desert on a 3 days journey to sacrifice to their God! Why not just send the Priests out to do this? Pay them to do the sacrifice? The key meaning of the word “sacrifice” is found in the Hebrew word used in this scripture! The word does not refer to a Priest doing a continual animal sacrifice for the sins of the people but it means a personal sacrifice at ones own expense! Jesus at the Cross! The grandmother who just got a two year prison sentence for protesting in front of an abortion clinic! She believed the lives of the unborn were more valuable than her own life! The soldier who lays down his life for his country! The parents that get up everyday and go to work for their families! God sacrificing his own Son for our sin who knew no sin! Only God’s sacrifice can save us yet to live like God is to make sacrifices for him and for others! The blood sacrifice of Jesus covers the blood shedding of our evil actions against others! Why? Because his blood was the very blood of God himself! Some will be awarded the Martyr’s Crown in heaven after their life lived here on earth! God died for us so we do not have to die for God! However God’s will for each of us must be lived out for our time here on earth! If his will is for us to be Martyred for the testimony of Christ then so be it! God warned Moses that when he goes into Pharoah to request of him to let all these Jews go back to the Promise Land Israel he would resist his request of him! Why did God harden Pharoah’s heart? If Pharoah cooperated with Moses there would be no need for God to show his wonders of the ten plagues and the parting of the Red Sea! So the witnessing of God’s miracles would not be demonstrated to the world unless Pharoah got stubborn! All our trials and tribulations are the result of our sin yet if we trust God he will deliver us out of our troubles! Unless we see a need for redemption we will not seek him! The deception of Satan all the way back to the Garden of Eden is to try to convince men they do not need a Savior! We can make it on our own? After Pharoah lost his army and all the gold in Egypt he declared the Jews serve the true God! Without trouble in your life you will never seek the true God! When you trust Jesus the living God you are delivered from death, hell and the grave! An angel spoke unto Moses out of a burning bush but the bush was not consumed! Our God is a consuming fire yet at times his fire does not consume but is redemptive! His fire can also result in judgment! A fire that does not consume shows his mercy! King Nebuchadnezzar made a decree that all must bow down and worship his idol or face the furnace! The three young Hebrew men refused to worship him and were cast into the flames! There was a fourth man seen in the furnace with them who is believed to be Christ himself! Jesus has delivered us from the flames of hell! The Apostle John was boiled in a pot of oil yet it did not hurt him! The cities of Sodom and Gomorrah full of homosexuals was consumed by the fire in judgment for their sin! There is no light without fire! Fire heats our homes in the winter and cooks our meals! God created fire for our benefit! Fuel ignites in an engine with fire and transports our airplanes, vehicles, trains and ships! Jesus said he is the light of the world! He created our world and gave us light! His light pushes away the darkness! Fire is supernatural! The fires of hell reveal Satan’s character! In heaven right now Jesus lights the place up with no need of the sun, moon and stars! Yet his fire does not consume him! The fire does not consume the sun! Thousands of years ago Pharoah King of Egypt thought he had the final solution! Abort the Jewish male babies and destroy them through genocide! So from the Nile river to the Red Sea the plan was engaged! However a Jewish woman took her little baby Moses and put him in a basket and floated him down the Nile River to escape his certain murder and guess what happened? King Pharoah and his household rescued Moses and raised him in their Egyptian household for 40 years! Then Moses killed an Egyptian who was assaulting a Jew and then Moses was on the run for his life for another 40 years! Then God raised up Moses as a deliverer for those two million Jews in Egypt until their backs were up against the Red Sea with the armies of King Pharoah closing in for the kill and the final solution! God intervened and parted the Red Sea so the Jews could escape but then drowned the pursuing Egyptian army in the Red Sea! Then the Jews went on to their promise land and established Israel as a homeland for the Jews! Jesus promised at his second coming to return to Israel! So the enemies of the Cross do not want an Israel to return to at his second coming! How foolish they are to fight against the God creator of heaven and earth! They join the ranks of King Pharoah and Hitler and many more wicked leaders over history who themselves were destroyed along with their populations waring against the living God! God said he would bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel! Fools are born in every generation but sadly they are made examples of to prove that the scriptures are truth and those that oppose them prove the fools they are to oppose God and His Christ! Truth in reverse is still truth and a lie in reverse or forward is still a lie! The Theory of Evolution propagated by Charles Darwin is responsible for the bloodiest Century the 20th Century in world history! When Christ is removed from any culture darkness and death moves in! Destruction grows and freedom is replaced with tyranny! In your Bible there are about 15 scriptures on earthquakes in the Old and New Testaments. What is interesting about these scriptures is in some God brought redemption and to some he brought judgment! Another example is water and the flood in the days of Noah! Noah and his family were saved by the water and the rest of the world was drowned by the same water! Moses and 2 million Jews were saved by water at the Red Sea yet Pharoah and his army was drowned by the same water! Paul and Silas were awaiting execution in a Roman prison and an earthquake broke the prison foundation and the gates fell off their hinges! Peter was saved in a prison the same way! The Cross brought death to Jesus and the two thieves yet it brought the resurrection from the dead for Jesus and the rest of the human race! Some to the resurrection to life and some to judgment depending on what they did with Jesus! Jesus at the Cross there was an earthquake renting the Holy of Holy curtain in two in the Jewish Temple signifying salvation and access to God is now available to all! An earthquake shook Jesus tomb and broke the seal on his grave and then the angel rolled the stone away! At the Cross some graves were opened up by the earthquake and they came alive from the dead! Our redemption was purchased by the blood of Jesus for we cannot save ourselves! Our salvation comes from outside of our selves! If we oppose redemption then we oppose God the creator of all things including our gender! He made you to save you! Grace is God doing for you what you cannot do for yourself!
