Jesus then said truly I tell you, the tax collectors (crooked IRS agents) and the prostitutes enter into the kingdom of God before you.” Commentary: The first son said to his father I will not go but repented and did go! The second son said he would go to work in the vineyard but did not go! God always rewards transparency! People that do not try to hide their sin! An honest sinner goes ahead of a lying sinner! We are all sinners so confession must start at the House of God! One thief on the Cross was transparent before Jesus and as far as we know the first along with John the Baptist to enter heaven from earth during Jesus ministry here on earth! The other thief was not transparent but hid his sin and then mocked Jesus! Those that hide their sin and reject salvation will always mock God! Mock Jesus and his followers! God always rewards honesty! He punishes the dishonest hiding their sin! The problem is not so much what we do with our sin but what we do not do with our sin!
