Remember the vision I had about two months ago of a Ram with two horns being crushed against a wall? The Ram with two horns according to Daniel 8:20 represents the Media-Persian Empire. This geographic area of North Africa, Middle East, Afghanistan, Pakistan and the old Southern Russian Republics are where most of the Muslims live today. In my vision the Ram with his head and two horns was crushed against a stone wall foundation by an invisible force! I understood this vision to be a direct intervention by God to stop Islam.  At the time of the vision I did not know how God would do this but I understood that God would! Is Ebola the pestilence Jesus talked about in Luke 21:11? Time will always prove God’s prophecy! My greatest desire is that Muslims will come to Christ! However rejection of Christ leads to death and destruction which is proven in history and current events! Liberia has an interesting history! Two civil wars from 1989-2005 claimed 500000 casualties and millions of refugees! Liberia is 85 percent Christian and about 15 percent Muslim. What the Muslim’s did there was join with other Muslims in surrounding countries around Liberia and fight against the democratic elected government. Liberia was established by the United States in the 1800’s. Thousands of slaves released after the civil war migrated there to form a new nation. Abraham Lincoln and presidents after him supported this new nation! The name Ebola comes from the Ebola River which is located in the Republic of the Congo. This nation was formerly Zaire. This week Boko Haram burned down 180 Christian churches in Nigeria Africa. More cities in Iraq and Syria are falling to ISSIS forces this week. They are now at the city gates of Bagdad! They are going after the International airport where if they succeed will cut off supplies to the city. We are not fighting this war to win so I would suggest evacuating all US consulate staff so they will not be trapped! The Kurds are facing extinction as we are not providing the support to win! Millions of more Christians face slaughter in these regions! According to President Obama we are not at war with Islam?????????????????? We just had a mother and grandmother beheaded in Oklahoma? A second woman had her neck cut and would have lost her head were it not for a courageous off duty cop! If we ignore this and pretend it is their problem more Islamist terrorist will come here and we will face the same problem! I am quoting some 26 verses out of the Qur’an for you. Sometimes it is spelled Koran but it is the same book. There are many more verses than these! This is a sampling for you. This is the Muslim Bible. I will not comment on these verses for they speak for themselves! Qur’an 9:29 Fight against Christians and Jews “until they pay the tribute readily, being brought low.” Qur’an 4:91 If the unbelievers do not offer you peace, kill them wherever you find them. Against such you are given a clear warrant. Qur’an 9:7-9 Don’t make treaties with non-Muslims. They are evildoers and should not be trusted. Qur’an 9:12-14 Fight the disbelievers! Allah is on your side; he will give you victory! Qur’an 9:5 Kill the nonbelievers wherever you find them. Qur’an 2:191-192 Kill disbelievers wherever you find them. If they attack you then kill them. Such is the reward of disbelievers! Qur’an 5:51 “O you who believe! Do not take the Jews or Christians as friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.” Qur’an 2:65-66 Christians and Jews must believe what Allah has revealed to Muhammad or Allah will disfigure their faces and turn them into apes, as he did the Sabbath breakers. Qur’an 4:48, 4:116 “Those who ascribe a partner to Allah (Like Christians do with Jesus and the Holy Spirit) will not be forgiven. They have invented a tremendous sin.” Qur’an 4:51 Jews and Christians believe in idols and false deities, yet they claim to be more rightly guided than Muslims. Qur’an 5:80 “You will see many of them befriending those who disbelieve; certainly evil is that which their souls have sent before them, that Allah became displeased with them and in chastisement shall they abide. Those Muslims who befriend unbelievers will abide in hell.” Qur’an 3:85 “And whoever desires a religion other than Islam, it shall be accepted from him, and in the hereafter he shall be one of the losers.” Qur’an 9:6 Those who submit and convert to Islam will be treated well. Those who do not will be killed. Qur’an 5:53 Jews and Christians are losers. Qur’an 5:59 Jews and Christians are evil-livers. Quran 5:63 Evil is the handiwork of the rabbis and priests. Qur’an 5:72 Christians will be burned in the fire. Qur’an 5:73 Christians are wrong about the Trinity, for that they will have a painful doom. Qur’an 9:30 Christians and Jews are perverse. Allah himself will fight against them. Qur’an 9:24 Give tidings (O Muhammad) of a painful doom to the rich and greedy Christian monks and Jewish rabbis. Deceitful means to trick, entrap or craft with guile and subtility! It means to adulterate or corrupt the Word of God! To cause deceit in the mind. It means to bait a trap to catch a victim. It means to bring bondage and slavery as opposed to liberty and freedom. It is to deceive by false reasoning. It is to cause someone to wander from the truth. It is interesting that the Greek word for handling and deceit is the same root word. So what? Keep your hands off the Word of God! Do not pervert it! The “Word” used here is Logos or the spoken word. The word Lego means to speak intelligently. We all may have a problem with this? We have all made dumb mistakes but hopefully not intentional! This subject Paul is talking about points to our heart. Someone using the Word of God deceitfully is trying to gain advantage over someone for personal gain! It is trying to manipulate someone for a desired outcome! You might call it witchcraft “Light.” What are some examples? The church selling indulgences. A Pastor advises the wife in his congregation to divorce her husband and then marries her and leaves the church. I am praying for you so it is the only reason you are Blessed! Nothing to do with God? You need to put more money in the offering plate so you remain Blessed! I saw a vision where you were killed in an accident but I prayed for you and now you are safe! The reason your family member is sick is because you spend too much time in the ministry! You are in trouble now because you spend too little time in the ministry! These are all examples of manipulations to bring fear and guilt! What would be examples of not using the Word of God deceitfully? The Lord spoke to me that you need to go the the mission field! Please pray for confirmation and from others confirming your call! If you go give your tithes and offerings to the churches you minister to on the mission field. Even though we are a small church God will provide! The use of God’s Word un-deceitfully means a sacrifice from you is required to help others! We should be living our sermons! God has given the gift of rest. Receive this gift with open hands! Luke 5:16. Jesus often retreated to lonely places! Sounds counter-cultural! We need to adapt His rhythm for living! When God is present in our rest He is more present in our work! The strategy of our enemy is to keep us so busy that we find no place of rest in Him! Then he can keep us out of the work of God! Rest is resisted and opposed in our culture. Luke 8:22-25. Jesus was so much at rest that He fell asleep in the boat! A storm rises up on the water to disturb His rest! The boat was swamped with water! The disciples were worried and their lives were threatened! They woke Jesus up and He calmed the storm! Are you so worried you never spend time in His presence? If you give Him space He can calm the storm in your life! Jesus asked His disciples, “Where is your Faith?” Maybe gone with the wind? Anchor your soul in Christ today! Then the storms of life will not move you! In another case in John 6 and Matthew 14 Jesus retreats to rest and the disciples rush ahead in their boat across the sea. Another storm rises up and Jesus has to walk on the water to rescue them! Do you find yourself rushing out ahead of Jesus? We need to find the rest and rhythm in Jesus so we can walk out our Faith! Rest is on purpose and not an accident! You never want to meet God by accident? Say no to distractions that keep you from finding your purpose in God. Gifts have to be developed and that takes space and time to give them attention. Nourish His Gifts! Do the planting and watering so God can give the increase! We need to live a life from distractions! When you are in your twenties and thirties you are in a season of learning. Use the gift of time to develop the Gifts of God! Do not let the world steal your attention! Discernment is the antidote for distraction. Parents please give your kids space and time to explore their world at home. The stressed out soccer mom who is running their kids to every event on planet earth that their kids have no time for wonder and awe of God’s creation. Say no FOMO (Fear and missing out). Teenagers drive and text and are killed and injured in accidents for fear of missing out! They are distracted by what is not real! They miss out on the real! Reality is for you to find God! Through their electronic devices they live in a imaginary world! Say no to fear and guilt! The fear of man is a dangerous trap! Fear and guilt are bad motivators! Why do you do what you do? Hold true to your convictions! Many times as a Pastor I say no to people so I can say yes to God! Rest is very rewarding! A congregation member told me he has no time for rest because we are in the last days! We have been in the last days for 2000 years! One of the signs of the last days is that people will have no time for the Sabbath! The margins we create will make space for our mission! Do not have time? Time is a Gift from God! Honor Him with it! Find time for your primary Gift! Luke 10:33. In this account of Luke a man was beaten and robbed! The religious folks just passed by and ignored him? If we have pity on people that need help but ignore their needs we are then the most miserable lot! The Samaritan had time to help! He saw him took pity on him and then came to his aid! Are you to busy to help? He spent his own money and time to help this wounded man! The gift of rest gives us strength and a heart to help others!
