‘And said to the mountain and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come: and who shall be able to stand.” Commentary: Christmas is a special time of year celebrating his first coming to earth as savior of the world! For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life! Jesus is the gift that keeps on giving! Everyone that has ever lived or will live has to make a choice about Jesus and the sacrifice he made for us on the Cross! We are presently about 2000 years from the baby born in Bethlehem! After the Cross his resurrection from the dead at age 33 fifty days later he ascended back to his Father in heaven! He promised his disciples he would return again or his second coming! Not as the savior at his first coming but as judge at his second coming! Judging who? Those that have rejected him! He took your judgment for sin at Calvary but if you reject him then you receive his judgment upon yourself! He is either your savior or your judge! The judgment of sin is death! He took your judgment upon himself at the Cross! God became flesh to pay for the price of our sinful flesh! The window of grace will close soon in history! Then his second coming to judge those that have rejected his love! This Christmas season think of the blessings God has given you through his only Son Jesus! He came to earth so you might go to heaven! Christ is the Prince of peace for those who embrace his love! Nothing better and no better gift than being right with God eternally distant from his wrath!
