Verse 6; I gave my back to the smiters to be beaten and slain, and my cheeks to them that plucked off my beard: I hid not my face from shame and spitting. Verse 7; For the Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: Therefore I have set, established and planted my face like a flint, and I know I shall not be ashamed, confounded or disappointed. Commentary: The Prophet Isaiah lived about 800 years before our first Easter! He had a vision of Calvary to come and the Son of God being condemned for the sin of the world! This is good news for us but it did not reduce his pain and suffering on the Cross for our transgressions! The old hymn says, “Burdens are lifted at Calvary!” Most of us do not understand the suffering Jesus went through for us! To be God exempt from suffering yet come to earth to suffer for our penalty of sin! This deliverance is perpetual and eternal! No mortal can do what Christ has done for me! Why? Because mortals are sinners just like me! Satan worked so hard to keep Jesus off the Cross! Turn these stones into bread for you have just completed a 40 day fast! Surely you are hungry? Jump from the Temple Mount! Show off to the world you are God! The angels will protect you! Jesus I offer you all the Kingdoms of this world! Just bow down and worship me! I will give you my political power and authority and you can enslave men! They will be slaves to their own evil deeds! Do not deliver them from me! I want to populate hell with them! I want company! Do not suffer for them they are not worth it! Like Judas they will betray you! Peter denied you! Why sacrifice yourself for this evil bunch? Rather sacrifice them as I do for yourself! Leave the 99 and save yourself! Easter is about you and me! For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believe in him shall not perish but have everlasting life! Happy Easter! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com
