Words of Jesus: “Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. And he saith unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.” Commentary: Jesus here has a teaching moment for his disciples which includes you and me! A Pharisee a religious ruler of that day invited Jesus to dinner at his house. This servant girl heard that Jesus would be at this home so she comes in to meet Jesus and bows at his feet and begins to cry and weep then wipes the feet of Jesus with her tear soaked hair! She even kissed his feet! The religious leaders got mad saying if Jesus knew how bad this girl is he would have rejected her! This woman experienced the redemptive love of Jesus and repented with tears! Why is it the religious rulers felt no need of repentance and tried to discourage her repentance? They were hiding their sin behind a religious cloak! True repentance requires we lay everything out on the table before God! We cannot hide anything from him so why try? The Pharisees hid their sin and then plotted to kill Jesus! People respond differently to the love of God! Some will retain their sin and persecute Jesus and his disciples and others will repent of their evil and receive forgiveness! History has shown us that the greatest sinners that repent have become the greatest disciples of Jesus Christ! After this important lesson taught us by the master we should have no problem with taking the good news to prisoners, prostitutes, street people, bums sleeping under park benches, drug addicts, gays, lesbians, transgenders, crooked politicians, hospitals, half way houses, homeless and those living under the condemnation of guilt! Or we can just live under a religious cloak attending church only with no purpose other than to look good in the community! Church is a college to learn how to take the Gospel out into your community! “The disciple is not above his master but everyone that is perfect shall be as his master.” Commentary: Jesus said if you have seen me you have seen the Father! What is a disciple? We get our word discipline from disciple. It is someone who accepts the teaching and instructions of his master! So what is a master? The Jewish scribes were given that title out of respect! Yet the Apostle Paul only referred to himself as an Apostle or teacher! Jesus was referred to many as master! He was in command of the scriptures because he was the fulfillment of the scriptures! He wrote the scriptures! He was the author of creation and all revelation of God! He was God! That is why the scribes wanted to kill him! He submitted to their evil and then rose from the dead! He mastered death, hell and the grave! Next what does perfect mean here as used? The word means to complete your mission or assignment God has given you! Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven! Jesus mission is not complete yet! His second coming is on the horizon! There are three times more scriptures about Jesus second coming than his first coming! What kind of a Christmas party will we have at his second coming? Well guess what? You as a saint will be coming back with him at his second coming! However the unbelievers will not celebrate but weep and morn trying to hide under rocks! Weeping and gnashing of teeth! Why! Their rejection of him is now permanent! No more redemption but judgment! Jesus then will rule and reign for a thousand years here on earth where the lion lays down with the lamb in perfect peace! Until then the lion will eat the lamb and sin and it’s destruction will destroy the human race only because they reject the perfect master and continue to be disciples of Satan! Your rejection of him is not complete yet but time is expiring on the clock! Jesus will say to you well done thy good and faithful servant or depart from me for I never knew you! No Biden would ban lemonades just like he does oil production! If they put him in charge of the Sahara Desert we would soon run out of sand! We should have no victim mentality but his policies do produce victims! Sadly the electorate at least half of them are satisfied with failure! Make America great again is possible but we have to vote this ideology out and replace them with victory thinking on every aspect of our nation to once again lead the world and once again have the respect of the nations!
