“Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first.” Commentary: After the burial of Jesus and after Mary informed John and Peter the tomb was empty the race was on! We can spend our entire life running away from our tomb but one day it catches up with us! We will be the first to enter our own tomb! However Jesus beat you there! To raise you from the dead out of your tomb! He raises all some to everlasting life and some to eternal judgment! This is a race you do not want to lose! Your decision today will determine where you spend eternity! The empty tomb is the best news we will ever get! The queen of England has thousands of people at her funeral yet not one of them has the power to raise her from the dead! All the mortals can only mourn! Only God can raise the dead and he does that for all! The righteous and the wicked! No one escapes! Your tomb will not protect you from judgment! It will be your best friend for those in Christ! It will be the worst nightmare come true for those that reject Christ! We attended an old English church in India where the church cemetery surrounded the church! So you had to walk through the cemetery to get to the front door of the church! If you were superstitious you would probably not attend this church! In fact that is why the British did this because the Hindus and the Muslims would never try to take over this church! In fact we tried to hold evangelism meetings in the fellowship hall of this church but the Hindus would not come because the building was to close to the cemetery! So we had to change locations! Every Sunday as I walked through the cemetery to get to the church it would remind me of my mortality and that this life is temporary but eternity is forever! Everyone will visit their own tomb once just like Jesus did yet he was raised from the dead just once and promises the same for those that trust him in this life and the life to come! But this Green New Deal will move America from prosperity to poverty! It is already doing this! As Biden shuts down coal fired powerplants here in America China is building new coal fired powerplants right and left! As Biden sells off the Stategic Oil Reserve to China to temporarily bring down gas prices just before our elections our military will not have a reserve to power our war machine in case of a conflict with China, Russia, North Korea or Iran! Why would Biden strengthen our enemy and weaken our nation? Who’s side is he on? Sorry I forgot he owes China favors for helping his son Hunter acquire millions of dollars! Also from Russia and Ukraine! Who’s side is he on in the Russian Ukraine conflict? Which country gave Hunter and the Biden family more money? “In the end, it is impossible not to become what others believe you are.” Julius Caesar Commentary: Is this true? What if others do not believe in you? Do not celebrate you? Reject you? Then what? Some people will build you up and some tear you down! What if your spouse leaves you? The old saying is if you live by people’s compliments then you could die by their criticisms! Part of the blessings of the strong family unit both a mother and a father in the home is they celebrate you and they correct you when needed! No parental authority has led to high suicide and crime rates among our youth! So does God believe in us? He created us and put us here! Is God like some fathers who abandon their children? Most atheist really believe in God but are mad at God for some event that took place like a death of a parent or some other tragedy that occurred in their life! John 3:16 says that God so loved the world that he gave us his only Son as a sacrifice for our sin! That who believes in him will have everlasting life! Life beyond this life forever with Christ! So even at times in your life you will not believe in yourself along with others yet God will always believe in you even if you do not believe in him! If you reject Christ he still proved his love for you on the Cross! How many would die for you? If the truth be known no one will! Not your politicians, pastors, teachers, policemen or even your friends! Your greatest lover is God himself who gave you life! King David said though my father and mother forsake me yet my God will not! Others may believe in you but it may not be based on love! It may be based on what I can get out of you not what I can give and sacrifice for you! Julius Caesar was assassinated in 44 B.C. just a generation before the birth of Christ! Even his own son Brutus participated in his assassination! Did Julius become what his son believed him to be? A mother was preparing a breakfast for her two little boys! She was making pancakes and while doing so the two little brothers got into an argument about who would get the first pancakes! She knew this was a teachable moment so she told them Jesus would want each of you to let your brother go first! This is what Jesus would do! Big brother looked at little brother and said looks like you are going to be Jesus today!

You to Brutus? He was assassinated by his political opponents. Caesar started an internal civil war to try to remain in power! Under Biden is our FBI our new KGB? Jesus said if you live by the sword you will die by the sword! Jesus conquered by love! Men try to rule over other men through fear, intimidation, threats and even violence against the very people they claim they are for! God brings life but men bring death! This war between good and evil marches on in the present past and future! Throughout history men discover sometimes through tragedy who really loves them! Truth crushed to earth will rise again! God sacrificed himself to save us from the sinners we are! Not sacrificing you for his gain as the Caesar’s of this world do but giving his life as a ransom for all! If you violate one, you violate the other.” President Jimmy Carter. Commentary: The concept of separation of church and state is not in our Constitution! This phrase came from a letter written by Thomas Jefferson to a Baptist preacher in Connecticut where the Congregational Church was the dominant denomination there at that time. The pilgrims arrived at Plymouth Rock in 1602 because of religious persecution by the State controlled Church of England! There will always be a tension between the church and the state! Balance is required and too much power granted to either one can be a loose canon! If God does not influence our nation for righteousness then we are a doomed people! If we do not believe we all will answer to God for our thoughts and actions then anything goes! Our Constitution is based upon Biblical law such as we shall not steal or kill are two fine examples! If our laws are ignored and not enforced by the state as in our present political climate then anarchy will follow! Even another civil war! If we have rules without enforcement then we have no rules! If we have enforcement without rules then persecution by the State against her own people results is where the political climate is right now! Persecution by the State or the Church will end up with the same destructive results! When any State goes after political opponents using the weapons of the State whether FBI or IRS then freedom is crushed and a dictatorship will come as a two party system is destroyed!
